Lu Yanzheng pushed open the door and entered, subconsciously looking towards the bed, only to see that Jiang Qinyu had actually sat up.
"Why aren't you asleep yet? Did I disturb you?" Lu Yanzheng paused, his first thought being that he shouldn't sleep here tonight.
He came back specifically because he was worried about Jiang Qinyu, thinking she would be sleeping soundly, but he didn't expect that it would still disturb her rest.
Jiang Qinyu shook her head, gazing in his direction in the darkness, "I heard you haven't slept for seven days?"
Lu Yanzheng stiffened, but still nodded and replied, "Yeah, but it's okay, I can hold on."
"Didn't you think about what would happen to us if you fell? What would happen to the people of Biancheng, the people of Yongshan County?" Jiang Qinyu asked with a furrowed brow.
Lu Yanzheng came to the bedside, knelt on one knee, and took her hand in his. "Qinqin, I don't care about anything else. You've disappeared, and all I can think about is finding you as soon as possible..."

Jiang Qinyu felt a tingling sensation on her face and neck from his breath. Hearing his words, her face immediately burned, but she quickly pretended to be calm and said, "What could be different? Go to sleep!"
Lu Yanzheng suddenly pulled her into his arms, his deep voice whispering in her ear, "Qinqin, I don't want to wait any longer..."
Jiang Qinyu's back stiffened, and for some reason, she blurted out, "You haven't slept for seven days, what else do you want to do?"
Lu Yanzheng: "..."
Silence, awkwardness, and helplessness... a mix of emotions filled the space between the two.

The next morning, Lu Yanzheng went out feeling refreshed. Before leaving, he instructed Uncle Chen, "Madam is tired, so don't wake her too early. Have Uncle Li keep the food warm and send it over when Madam gets up."
