"Xiao Bo, did you really watch Lu Yanzheng die?" Granny Wang asked mysteriously.
She knew a thing or two about the child that had crawled out of her womb.
Lu Yanzheng was more capable than anyone else in the village back then. Although he didn't want to admit it, compared to him, Wang Bo's skills were really not up to par.
Wang Bo was able to return unharmed, so there's no reason why Lu Yanzheng should have died!

Ma nudged Lu Yancai, who smiled obsequiously and said, "Village Chief, my sister-in-law and the others have returned from the prefectural city. We've been struggling to make ends meet these past few days. How about you share some of your food with us?"
Village Chief Li stared at them in shock. "Are you two still half asleep? Those belong to all of us. We agreed to divide them up in three months. You two have the nerve to want them divided up now?"
The food brought back from Sanlinong was distributed to the villagers. Only the game was taken to the prefectural city to be sold. Village Chief Li assessed the situation from house to house and found that everyone currently has enough food to last for three months.
"But you can't just watch our family starve to death!" Madam Ma said forcefully.
Village Chief Li didn't even bother to glance at her, and simply said, "Distributing the goods is a collective decision, not something I can decide. If you want to distribute them, go and call all the people in charge here first."
After saying that, he went straight back without even opening the courtyard gate.
