Why isn't Chapter 55 here yet?

Litian County is the closest to Yukang Prefecture, and Jiang Qinyu and her group entered Litian County in just half a day.

"Sister-in-law, where should we go now?" Meng Tianze asked in a low voice.

His gaze was still seemingly fixed on something behind him, where One-Eyed King and his men were following not too far away.

Jiang Qinyu looked up and said, "Let's go to the biggest inn around here."

"Another place to stay?" Meng Tianze's heart skipped a beat. Staying in an inn costs money, and the biggest inn must be the best. How expensive would that be for one night?

Jiang Qinyu reassured them, "We'll just book two rooms, shake off our pursuers, and leave the city. It won't cost too much money."

Compared to bringing disaster to everyone by taking the people behind us back to Dingshui Village, what's a little extra money?

"Alright, we'll do as you say!" Meng Tianze thought about the people following behind him and could only reluctantly agree.

Jiang Qinyu asked for directions and led the group straight to Chongguang Inn, the largest inn in Litian County.

As expected of a grand inn, Jiang Qinyu and her group's five carriages were quickly taken to the backyard and settled in.

At the front desk, no one gave them a hard time because they only booked two rooms. They just smiled and reminded them that it's important to ventilate the room if there are many people sleeping together, otherwise they might get sick.

Jiang Qinyu and the others gathered together again, and soon Meng Tianze and Chen Shao also came in.

"How is it? Are those people still following us?" Liu Erleng asked nervously.

Meng Tianze's expression was solemn. "They came along, and they even booked a room on the second floor."

They booked two lower-class rooms; the second floor had middle-class rooms.

Upon hearing this, everyone felt a little heavy-hearted; it seemed those people were determined to follow them.

Everyone's eyes involuntarily turned to Jiang Qinyu.

“Don’t panic,” Jiang Qinyu said calmly, “We do this… then this… and then…”

After I explained my plan, the atmosphere in the room changed immediately.

The previous heaviness turned into a sense of anticipation, especially for Chen Shao and Liu Yazi, the two young men who seemed quite eager to get started.

"Let's get started!" Jiang Qinyu smiled. Want to go back to the village with them? Then let's give it a try!

...

One-Eyed King had been closely monitoring Jiang Qinyu and her group's movements. After checking into the room, he arranged for someone to keep an eye on the downstairs.

"Boss, they've gone out!" The person in charge of keeping watch quickly came to report.

One-Eyed King gestured with his chin toward one of them, "Rat, you go and see what's going on."

The man who called the rat immediately went out and followed Meng Tianze and Liu Erleng.

A short while later, the person keeping watch came back to report, "Boss, some of them have gone out again..."

The One-Eyed King still sent someone to follow him.

In just a quarter of an hour, all of One-Eyed King's men were sent out, and even the people keeping watch were gone.

He could only keep an eye on things downstairs himself, and then he discovered that Jiang Qinyu and the others had remained in their room without moving.

What One-Eyed King didn't know was that while he was staring at Jiang Qinyu and the others, he was also being stared at by them.

When the one-eyed king went to the outhouse, Jiang Qinyu and her group acted swiftly. When the one-eyed king returned, it appeared that nothing had changed on Jiang Qinyu's side.

An hour later, Meng Tianze and the others returned, and the rat also followed them back to the inn.

"So, what did they go to do?" One-Eyed King asked hurriedly.

The mouse scratched its head and said strangely, "They didn't do anything. I just saw them going around to the shops, and sometimes they would talk to the shopkeepers and ask about prices."

"What exactly are they trying to do?" One-Eyed King frowned in thought.

Someone couldn't help but speak up, "Boss, we haven't eaten all day, what do you think..."

"Eat, eat, all you do is eat!" One-Eyed King scratched his head in frustration, but he knew his underlings wouldn't work hard if they weren't well-fed. "Have the waiter bring a few dishes to the room. After you eat, keep an eye on things down there!"

"Thank you, boss!" The underlings were overjoyed.

The kitchen of this inn was constantly wafting delicious aromas, and they had been craving them for a long time.

Meanwhile, while they were eating, Jiang Qinyu and the others quickly unloaded the items from the carriage and hid them in the inn's storeroom.

Once everyone returned to their room, Meng Tianze immediately asked again, still worried, "Sister-in-law, are you sure you can get everything to the city gate by leaving me here alone?"

"Don't worry, Brother Meng. As long as you lure them all away, leave the rest to me," Jiang Qinyu said confidently.

Meng Tianze and his group went out earlier and scouted a spot in a small alley near the city gate. All Jiang Qinyu needs to do next is have someone deliver the goods there and hand over the mule cart to the mule dealers.

"Alright then, we'll split into groups and go out to lure them all away. You just need to act accordingly." At this point, Meng Tianze had no other choice but to trust her.

Jiang Qinyu nodded and instructed, "You all need to be extra careful and try your best to hold them off. Just make sure you get past them before you leave the city and reach the city gate."

Everyone agreed and went their separate ways.

Jiang Qinyu took advantage of the time to quickly tidy up the space.

Fifteen minutes later, after confirming that One-Eyed King and his men had all been lured away, Jiang Qinyu changed into women's clothing and came out of the room. She first checked out of the hotel and then went to the backyard of the inn.

"Miss Jiang, is that right?" A shop assistant was standing guard at the entrance of the storeroom.

Jiang Qinyu nodded and smiled, stuffing a handful of copper coins into the other person's hand. "It's me. Thank you, young man. Please take these coins and have a cup of tea."

"It's alright, no one's coming to the backyard right now. Do whatever you want to do, and call me if you have any problems," the shop assistant said cheerfully.
