Chapter 160 Garlic



The next morning, Lu Chuan and Xu Han started working in the wasteland early in the morning. They worked for two more days before they finally finished planting all the vegetables in their yard.

The next day, after breakfast, the two of them went to the valley to dig for wild vegetables, carrying baskets and hoes on their backs.

"It's pretty good. If I have time tomorrow, I'll process it and pickle some garlic cloves to eat."

"Hmm! This is just too troublesome to deal with. You can do it when you have nothing to do at night."

"That's what I think too. I'm too busy during the day to deal with this, but I can do it when I have free time in the evening."

Xu Han and Lu Chuan are both action-oriented people. After dinner, they indeed started processing wild garlic in the main room.

Xu Han first went to the backyard and cleaned the small garlic cloves. They had already been peeled, so they were relatively easy to clean.

After washing them clean, I took them to the front yard. These small wild garlic were for pickling, so I didn't remove the roots. But the leaves were very long, so I cut off a section with a knife. I couldn't throw them away; I kept them to use for stir-frying.

After adding all the ingredients, put them in a wooden basin and mix well so that every clove of garlic is coated with the sauce. Then put them into a jar, and you can eat them directly whenever you want.

After mixing it, Xu Han couldn't wait to eat one. Mmm! It tastes good, just the right flavor. It would taste even better if it were marinated for a little while.

After Xu Han pickled the garlic cloves, she then brought out some potatoes from the cellar.

We started processing the potato seeds using the same method as before. We planted quite a lot this time, and it was already dark by the time we finished.

Lu Chuan walked in from outside and said, "I saw some fish coming out of the stream. I'll go and set some fish traps tomorrow and see if I can catch any."

"Okay, some of the fish baskets from last year are broken. Why don't you take some time tonight to mend them?"

Xu Han was in charge of washing the pots and dishes, while Lu Chuan went to repair the fish basket.
