Chapter 236 Yunhua and Zhao Yunyun are back

Everyone burst into laughter upon hearing this. After joking around for a while, Xu Han suddenly remembered the bread she had just made that morning.

"Let me show you the bread I baked this morning, see if you like it." Xu Han said as she took out a large piece of bread from her spatial storage, along with some herbal tea.

While brewing the flower tea, Xu Han asked, "Is it delicious?"

"It's delicious, it melts in your mouth and has a wonderful milky flavor," Lu Chuan said.

“Yes, it’s suitable for breakfast, and you can also have it as a snack when you’re hungry,” the Taoist priest chimed in.

"Yes, bread is for breakfast, and it's nice to have a piece whenever you're hungry."

"When we have time, let's sit out a bit more and eat it for breakfast," Grandpa Zhao suggested.

“Okay, since we don’t have anything to do lately, let’s try making some different flavors,” Xu Han agreed.

In the evening, since we had just eaten bread, no one was hungry, so dinner was prepared a little later.

Xu Han and Lu Chuan cooked two home-style dishes together, which they then ate with white rice porridge – a simple and delicious meal.

Time slipped away slowly between cutting down trees and burning charcoal, and before we knew it, it was November.

Seeing that Xu Han was about to give birth, but Yunhua and Zhao Yunyun had not yet arrived, Lu Chuan couldn't help but feel anxious.

Finally, when Lu Chuan asked the Taoist priest for the fifth time today, "When will Zhao Yunyun and Yunhua arrive?"

The Taoist priest lay on his recliner, basking in the sun, and after performing another divination, he slowly spoke, "She's right outside! Go and meet her!"

"Outside? They've arrived?" Lu Chuan asked uncertainly.

Upon hearing this, the Taoist priest rolled his eyes at Lu Chuan without saying a word. Seeing this, Lu Chuan walked suspiciously out of the courtyard.

Lu Chuan initially didn't believe it, but considering the Taoist priest's abilities, he decided to go out and see for himself.

Grandpa Zhao and Xu Han thought the Taoist priest was joking! After all, Lu Chuan had been asking the Taoist priest several times a day for the past two days, which had already annoyed him.

So the two of them continued doing their own thing, remaining motionless in the same spot.

After Lu Chuan opened the courtyard gate, he craned his neck to look ahead and saw two small black dots slowly moving in his direction, but he couldn't make out whether they were Yun Hua and Zhao Yunyun.

So he quickly ran into the main room, took out the binoculars, and wanted to use them to get a closer look.

When Xu Han saw Lu Chuan take out his binoculars, she thought he was still determined to look again since he hadn't seen anyone! She still ignored him.

Until Lu Chuan excitedly shouted, "They're here! They're here! They've really come!"

Xu Han and Grandpa Zhao finally reacted upon hearing this, while the Taoist priest remained lying motionless on the recliner, leisurely basking in the sun.

Xu Han came to the door, craned her neck to look ahead, and indeed saw two small black dots walking this way.

Grandpa Zhao was overjoyed to see this. He hadn't seen his granddaughter for over a year, how could he not be happy?

He quickly said to Lu Chuan, "Xiao Chuan, let's go pick them up."

“Okay, we’ll go right away. Honey, you go home and wait for us. We’ll be back in a bit,” Lu Chuan said, turning to Xu Han.

“Okay, I don’t know if they’ve eaten yet since they’re coming at this time. I’ll go prepare some food for them so they can have something to eat first,” Xu Han said happily.

After saying that, Xu Han supported her waist and slowly walked towards the main room. Seeing that Xu Han was busy, the Taoist priest finally got up from the recliner and began to help Xu Han prepare pastries and tea.

It's already 3:30 pm, and it's almost time to make dinner. If we prepare their food now, it will be dinnertime again soon.

So Xu Han took out some lotus root powder from her space, added nuts, hawthorn cake, raisins and other ingredients to make a tea, which was more convenient to eat.

Then they took out the bread and some dried fruit that they had made earlier, so they could eat whatever they wanted in a little while.

Seeing Lu Chuan walking this way from afar, Yun Hua excitedly shouted, "Junior Brother, Grandpa Zhao!"

Zhao Yunyun waved to the two of them and shouted, "Grandpa, I'm back!"

Seeing this, the two quickened their pace and hurried to Yunhua and Zhao Yunyun.

"Was your journey smooth? Are you hungry? Have you eaten? Are you injured?" Grandpa Zhao asked excitedly.

Lu Chuan then took the packages from Yunhua and Zhao Yunyun, as well as the horse that Yunhua was leading.

"We're all fine, none of us are hurt, we're perfectly alright! Grandpa, how are you? Have you been doing well lately? Have you missed me?" Zhao Yunyun said sweetly, clinging to Grandpa Zhao's arm.

"I'm doing great. Look how much weight I've gained! It's much more comfortable here than in Beijing. Your sister Xiaohan and brother-in-law are taking very good care of me," Grandpa Zhao said affectionately.

"That's good, thank you brother-in-law," Zhao Yunyun replied.

"Of course, let's go back first! Your sister Xiaohan and the Taoist priest are still waiting for us at home!" Lu Chuan said.

“Yes, yes, let’s go back first, and we can talk about it slowly when we get back,” Grandpa Zhao agreed.

Then the four of them walked home together. On the way, Yunhua asked Master Lu Chuan about his recent situation, and only after hearing from Lu Chuan that the master was doing well did she happily smile.

But she couldn't help feeling jealous, saying, "This master really doesn't care about me at all, and he didn't even say he'd come to pick me up."

"How do you think we knew you were coming? It was all thanks to the Taoist priest's divination. He's been at home these past few days casting divinations to see where you were and when you would arrive. He's been keeping track of everything!"

"Hahahaha, I knew my master still missed me."

Yes! Lu Chuan is probably right. Although the Taoist priest is annoyed by Lu Chuan's questions every day, judging from the number of times the Taoist priest has performed divination, he is quite concerned about Yunhua's itinerary.

After the four arrived home, Xu Han and the Taoist priest had already prepared food.

Upon seeing Xu Han, Zhao Yunyun immediately hugged her, exclaiming, "Sister Xiao Han, I missed you so much!"

When Lu Chuan saw Zhao Yunyun's actions, he broke out in a cold sweat, fearing that this little devil might not know her own strength and hurt his wife.

So Lu Chuan kept a close watch on Zhao Yunyun, in case his wife lost her footing, it would be troublesome.

"Yunyun, I miss you so much too!" Xu Han hugged Zhao Yunyun and said affectionately.

"Let me see how you are doing? Are you healthy? Is the baby about to be born?"

Xu Han turned around so that Zhao Yunyun could see her current form clearly.

"You've gained quite a bit of weight. Grandpa Zhao said it's been just recently, and you've come at the perfect time."
