After walking for about fifteen minutes, the sky began to gradually brighten. They had gotten up exceptionally early today, mainly because Lu Chuan said that the pine forest was quite large, and the two of them were worried that they wouldn't be able to finish digging it all out...
Finally, they arrived at the pine forest. Xu Han took out a matsutake mushroom and let the dogs smell it, and then they went to look for more matsutake mushrooms.
The pine forest was vast and extensive. The two of them had been digging non-stop until noon, and had only managed to dig a small portion of it. They didn't know if they could finish today, so they needed to speed things up.
So they quickly finished lunch and got back to digging for matsutake mushrooms.
They worked until it got dark and they wouldn't be able to get home in time, then they packed up and prepared to go home.
Today's harvest is simply amazing! These matsutake mushrooms are enough to satisfy my cravings for the next few years, but they're still not enough to eat to my heart's content. The revolution still needs to be carried on!
There's still some time before matsutake mushrooms go out of season! We can dig up some more.
Xu Han did not plan to dry and preserve these matsutake mushrooms. Although drying them was an option, they would certainly not taste as good as fresh ones.
While Lu Chuan was away hunting, he stayed home and took care of the things in his space, the Tengteng Space.
I rushed home, but it was already dark when I got there. I sat down and rested for a while before getting up to wash up and eat.
The puppies ran around all day and were still full of energy on the way home! But once they got home, they lay down in the yard and didn't move at all.
This made the house much quieter, a rare quiet moment since they were born and learned to walk.
