Chapter 465 Danger (3)

The two ate breakfast quietly. After they finished, one of them washed the dishes and the other went to the living room to watch TV, but only for a short while, as watching for too long was not good.

That day, the two of them stayed at home without going anywhere. It wasn't until evening that Hua Hua and her husband came over. They learned that the couple had been kidnapped the night before and came over worriedly to ask what was wrong. Although they knew that everything was alright, they were still uneasy because they hadn't seen Hua Hua.

“If I had known there would be danger, I should have come back with you all, so I could have questioned who sent them,” Cheng Yumo said.

Being kidnapped frequently is not a good thing, especially since Shuyi is pregnant now and can't protect herself at all.

"Don't worry, with Yu Bai here, I don't even need to lift a finger. Besides, there are bombs in the warehouse. If we really can't win, we can just throw the bombs out and escape," An Shuyi said.

It wasn't as simple as she made it out to be. After all, those people were armed, and if you couldn't dodge in time and got shot, it would be too dangerous, especially for the baby in your womb.

“We’re leaving for a trip tomorrow, and we’ll stay for a few more months. We’ll come back when you’re about to give birth. In the meantime, let Second Brother investigate who’s behind this,” Xia Hua said.

They were on their honeymoon, and no one knew where they were going. They were at sea, so if they encountered danger, they would be discovered quickly, and with their protection, the kidnappers would have no chance.

"We're leaving tomorrow. Have you taken care of things with your uncle and aunt? It's not that dangerous, so you don't need to worry too much. It was just a bit unfortunate last night." She guessed that those people hadn't shown up for a while and were trying to get some attention.

Besides, even if those people kidnapped her and took her back, there wouldn't be any danger, because their only goal was to get the ransom.

"They moved in today. I originally wanted them to stay a few more days before going back, but it's fine to go back tomorrow. I'll just give them a call later."

The villas are all furnished. All we need to do is buy some bedding and toiletries before we can move in. It's a very simple thing. We got everything sorted out this morning. I was having dinner with my parents when my second brother told me that Shushu and the others had been kidnapped last night, so I rushed over to ask what was going on.

When An Shuyi heard that it was all set up, she nodded. "If it's all set up, we can leave tomorrow. Have you eaten yet?"

She was reading this afternoon, then took a nap. Because she woke up a little late, she hasn't eaten yet.

"We've eaten, we were almost done when we heard you were almost kidnapped, so we came over after we finished eating. I'm glad you're okay. I'll call you when I get back. You guys eat, but don't eat too much for dinner." Xia Hua said before leaving with Cheng Yumo.

Watching them leave, Xiao Yubai returned to the kitchen and brought the stir-fried dishes to the living room. "Wife, dinner's ready."

After finishing their meal, the two went back to their room, tidied up their things, took a shower, and went to bed.

In the morning, An Shuyi got up and saw that no one was on the other side, so she knew that her husband had already gotten up. She then sat up, went to the bathroom to wash up, changed her clothes, and put the things on the floor into the storage room, leaving only a bag.

As she walked downstairs, before even entering the kitchen, she saw breakfast on the dining table: steamed dumplings, soy milk, potstickers, and a bowl of noodles. Instead of going to the kitchen, she sat down on a chair in the dining room.

After waiting a while, she saw her husband come out and said, "You don't actually need to do so much. Just do a little bit. You had to get up so early. You could have slept in a little longer."

This husband is simply wonderful; she's so lucky to have found such a wonderful man. He not only does the laundry and cooking, and does all sorts of housework, but he's also incredibly skilled in martial arts. He's practically the perfect man.

“I’m not sleepy, unlike you who loves to sleep. I can’t fall asleep even when I’m in bed. I might as well get up and make you breakfast. If you eat well, the baby in your belly will eat well too.”

He doesn't feel tired at all when cooking for his wife, and he especially enjoys doing it.

"As long as you're not tired, let's eat!" He took a sip of soy milk before eating the steamed dumplings. "Huh, is this venison?"

She's eaten so much venison that she can identify the type of meat just by tasting it.

"Yes, I made it with venison. If you don't like it, eat this one over there, it's pork." This was pork he bought that morning, but it couldn't compare to venison.

I didn't make much, just because I was worried my wife wouldn't want to eat venison, so I steamed one basket, which contained only six small pieces, each one easily eaten in one bite.

She placed a half-eaten steamed dumpling in his bowl, saying, "You eat it. I don't want to eat venison; it's too nourishing." Eating too much nourishing food makes him feel thirsty and uncomfortable every day.

"Next time you make it, make some pork. Those highly nutritious foods won't be noticeable at all. Or you can tell me. Eating too much nutritious food is not good either, I feel like I'm going to get a nosebleed."

She was really afraid that if she kept taking these supplements, she would get another nosebleed, since such things do happen.

Xiao Yubai nodded, "Okay, then next time I'll make less of the more nutritious dishes and just use more common ingredients. But there aren't any on the cruise ship, so we'll have to buy some to take with us when we go up."

If we eat what's in the warehouse, there's plenty, but my wife thinks it's too nutritious, so we have to buy more.

"We're going on the cruise ship today, we'll go buy it tomorrow, let's eat!"

After the two finished breakfast, one of them was responsible for cleaning the kitchen, leaving the uneaten dishes to one side, while the other packed them up. Once that was done, they picked up the bags they had left behind and went to the front door.

When they arrived, Xia Hua's family was already waiting there. They weren't driving a sports car, but Cheng Yumo's car, which had more seats and was more spacious. After exchanging greetings, they drove towards the alley entrance.

They still needed to buy groceries, but they didn't have to wait until tomorrow. They drove to the market, where Xiao Yubai and Cheng Yumo went to buy the groceries, while An Shuyi and the others waited in the car. Although they bought a lot, they didn't need to carry it; the vendors could just deliver it.

In no time, they had bought all the grains, vegetables, and meat. Then they drove to the alley entrance. Before they even got close, they could see the familiar cruise ship in the distance.

Since there were no kayaks available, we found the owner of a small boat and asked him to help us deliver the boat. Then we boarded the cruise ship, but there was no one on board; the people had already left.

"Huahua, is this your boat?" Xia's mother asked cautiously.

Good heavens, she was already very fortunate to live in a villa in her life. Back in the village, she would be the envy of everyone. But what she saw now was a boat, a boat bigger than a villa. How much money must that cost?

She had heard that this belonged to her daughter and Shushu, and she didn't know how much money it cost. Compared to this, those villas and high-rise buildings were nothing.

"What do you know? This isn't called a boat, it's called a cruise ship. The one we just came on, that's a real boat. If you don't understand, don't talk nonsense," Xia's father said from the side.
