Chapter 467 Honeymoon (1)

After hearing what he said, An Shuyi didn't believe him at all. Although they were all foods she liked to eat, without exception, they were all bland and tasteless.

Walking into the restaurant and looking at the dishes, she was just as she had guessed: steamed fish, stewed bird with wild mushrooms, baby bok choy in broth, hot and sour shredded potatoes, and a spicy fish dish, though it was only a little redder than the steamed one.

Just bear with it a little longer, there are still five months left. Then we can eat delicious food and won't have to live this bland and tasteless life anymore.

"Don't frown, or the baby will be unhappy. Don't worry, I've prepared an oil dish for you, so you can dip a little bit."

How can anyone in this world like to eat spicy food every day, and miss it terribly if they don't eat it every day? It's just a little spicy, the taste is still the same.

"That's great, sit down and eat!" An Shuyi was delighted to hear that there was an oil dipping sauce. She sat down, picked up her chopsticks, took a piece of fish, dipped it in the oil dipping sauce, and then put it in her mouth.

But the next second, he put down his chopsticks and turned to the side to gag.

Xiao Yubai was sitting down to eat when he saw her like this, so he hurriedly came over and asked, "Wife, what's wrong?" while getting her some water.

He waved his hand, took out a cherry and put it in his mouth, then walked to the side and said when he was far away from the table, "What's wrong with the fish you made tonight? It's so fishy."

She had only taken a sniff when her stomach churned. Thinking of this, she gagged again and hurriedly ran to the next room, went into the bathroom, and couldn't hold it in any longer, so she vomited.

Xiao Yubai, who was about to check on the fish, followed her, patted her back, opened her mouth, poured water, and took care of her in a whole series of ways.

After a while, An Shuyi finally sat down on the ground, her hands weak. The vomiting had almost cost her her life.

"Honey, the floor is cold. Let me carry you to the room to lie down for a while." Looking at her weak appearance, I felt extremely guilty.

It's all his fault. He should have tasted it first. If it didn't have a fishy smell, he wouldn't have let his wife eat it. It's such a pain.

"Don't move, let me catch my breath." She didn't want to move at all right now.

"Okay, I won't move. You can sit for a while." After saying that, he walked out of the room, went to the dining room, picked up the fish on the table, and smelled it. It had a fishy smell.

But he didn't smell it when he cooked it before. He smelled the other plate and found it too. It was strange that he hadn't smelled it before. He picked up both plates of fish and put them in the kitchen trash can.

He walked back to the room next door and said, "Honey, are you feeling any better? I'll carry you to the room to rest for a while, and then I'll get you something to eat again."

Now all we can do is redo it, or cook some porridge or something. He's so stupid; why didn't he think to smell it before?

"No need, I don't have an appetite right now. Carry me to the room, I'll lie down for a while, and I'll ask you to make something when I feel like eating."

She feels nauseous whenever she thinks about the fish she just ate.

"Okay, let me know when you want to eat." He picked her up, took her back to her room, and put her on the bed.

He didn't leave, but sat by the bedside to keep her company.

"You go eat first, I'm going to take a nap." She then closed her eyes.

When I woke up again, the room was still lit, but only one lamp was on, and it wasn't very bright.

"Wife, you're awake. What would you like to eat? I'll make it for you." Xiao Yubai sat by the bed and asked softly when he saw her wake up.

"What time is it? Why aren't you asleep? I'm fine, don't worry."

“It’s eleven o’clock now, and I’m not sleepy yet. I was just about to go to sleep when you woke up.” He saw that his wife was asleep, so he went to the restaurant to eat and cleaned up all the things.

After she washed up, she took another shower. I thought she would sleep until tomorrow, so I was about to take a nap when I saw her open her eyes.

"Then you go to sleep. There's food in the warehouse, you don't need to cook. I'm going to the bathroom, we'll eat when I come out." He sat down on the edge of the bed and helped her put on her shoes before she could even do so.

"Let me help you over there. You just woke up, so be careful." He helped her up and headed to the bathroom. After waiting outside for a while, he helped her back to sit on the sofa.

"Have you had dinner? Would you like some more?" I didn't know if he had eaten or not.

"I've eaten, you can eat it yourself!"

"Okay!" It's evening now, so she doesn't plan to eat too much. She'll just take out a bowl of porridge for dinner.

"Why are you only eating a little porridge? It's not filling enough. Why don't you get something else, spicy is fine too?" He didn't want to restrict her eating anymore; she could eat whatever she wanted.

Seeing how upset she was today really scared me.

An Shuyi shook her head. "I'll just have some porridge. I can't eat anything too greasy, or I'll feel uncomfortable." She also wanted to eat something spicy and oily.

But her stomach was empty. If she suddenly ate something spicy and oily, she would definitely vomit again, and then she would feel even more uncomfortable. She was glad that she didn't eat anything too spicy today, otherwise, she would have vomited even more miserably.

"Okay, then have some porridge. I'll make you something light tomorrow morning with ingredients from the warehouse. It won't have any strong flavor, just a pleasant aroma. Is that alright?"

The ingredients in the warehouse, even the fish, didn't have much of a fishy smell. Even without adding any seasonings to remove the fishy smell, the dishes tasted good and weren't fishy at all.

"Just make it however you like, but don't make anything oily, I don't want to eat it." After this ordeal, she won't want to eat anything greasy or spicy for a few days.

"Okay, I definitely won't make anything greasy. Eat up, do you want me to feed you?"

"No need, I can eat by myself."

After finishing the porridge, I walked around the room for a while before lying down to sleep. Although I had just woken up, how could I fall asleep?

When I woke up in the morning, no one was around. I went to the bathroom to wash up and change my clothes before heading to the kitchen. But I didn't go in; I just stayed outside. "Honey, is breakfast ready?" I asked.

Xiao Yubai turned around and said, "It'll be ready soon. Wait for me at the restaurant for a while, and walk slowly." Then he continued with what he was doing.

"Okay." After sitting down in the dining room, my husband quickly brought over a tray and placed a bowl in front of me. It was a bowl of fragrant porridge—no, it wasn't porridge, it should have been made with extra-large rice grains.

The rice, about the size of a pea, was placed in a bowl; it wasn't watery, but rather quite thick. Next came a small dish of cabbage pickled with millet peppers, along with boiled white eggs and a few small steamed buns, giving the dish some color.

Xiao Yubai explained from the side, "These steamed buns are made with vegetable juice, and they're sweet. I've already tasted them; they have no flavor, but they're very fragrant. You should try them."

To ensure she eats well, and since there's no oil available, we have to find ways to improve her nutrition from the ingredients. Fortunately, these vegetables are very nutritious, so there's no issue of not getting enough nutrition if she doesn't eat meat.

An Shuyi nodded, scooped up a spoonful of porridge, blew on it to cool it down, and put it in her mouth. It was slightly sweet at first, followed by the aroma of rice, which was particularly rich. After eating some side dishes, her appetite was instantly whetted.

"It's really delicious, you should try some too. Try cooking some rice with this at noon and see if it cooks properly." The rice is just too big; it's fine for porridge, but I'm not sure about cooking rice.
