Chapter 21 Going to Pay Respects

Today, she not only has to pay her respects, but also cause trouble for Jiang Wan'er!

"Zisu, Zimu, I need to wash up and change." Su Wanwan sat up and called out.

"Squeak~"

Perilla and purple wood entered in response.

Zisu walked in carrying a copper basin and a handkerchief.

Zisu lowered her head and said respectfully, "We servants will now help Miss wash up."

"Yes, we need to hurry, I need to pay my respects to my mother," Su Wanwan said.

Both maids were somewhat surprised, "Greetings to Madam?"

Their young lady hasn't paid her respects to the madam in a long time, so why is she suddenly going to pay her respects again?

“Yes, my mother just fell into the water yesterday, so naturally I, as her daughter, should go and check on her,” Su Wanwan said slowly with a smile in her eyes.

Upon hearing this, the two maids, Zisu and Zimu, felt a chill run down their spines.

The two had a gut feeling that this imposter was more than just concerned about the lady!

With the help of two maids, Su Wanwan quickly finished washing up and changing her clothes.

To emphasize her haggard and pitiful appearance, Su Wanwan deliberately wore a crimson silk dress. The dress was originally a bright color, but on her, it only made her already pale face look even more bloodless, making her appear even more pitiful.

Su Wanwan was very satisfied with this.

"Let's go to Mother's courtyard to pay our respects."

After Su Wanwan finished speaking, she took the first step and walked out.

The two maids, Zisu and Zimu, looked at each other, then gritted their teeth and followed.

Both of them had a gut feeling that today was definitely not going to be peaceful.

Soon, Su Wanwan arrived at the main courtyard with two maids.

As soon as Su Wanwan stepped into the courtyard, she saw a huge crowd of people.

Those were all Su Mu's concubines and children.

Su Mu had many concubines, and even more daughters.

He had nine daughters and three sons. His wife, Hu, bore him five daughters but no sons. All three sons were born to his concubines.

Perhaps Madam Hu hadn't gotten up yet, so they could only wait in the courtyard.

Su Wanwan glanced around the courtyard. Good, all of Su Mu's aunts and children had arrived, except for Jiang Wan'er, who had been punished yesterday.

As soon as she approached them, Miss Su glanced at her sideways and mocked, "Su, oh no, I should call you Jiang Wanwan. You never used to come and pay your respects. Now that you're no longer a daughter of the Su family, why are you still coming to pay your respects?"

"Hehehe, could it be that you're trying to take this opportunity to impress Mother and make her let you stay in the manor?"

"Tsk tsk tsk, Sixth Sister certainly has some clever methods."

Because the original owner of this body was once greatly favored by Su Mu, these sisters were all very jealous of her. Now that they know she's just a nobody, they can't help but make a few sarcastic remarks.

Su Wanwan wasn't angry.

She turned her head to one side, took out a handkerchief embroidered with plum blossoms from her sleeve, gently wiped her eyes, and sobbed softly, "Waaah, what my sisters said feels like it's stabbing my heart."

The older sisters and younger sister have been sisters for twelve years. They know each other's personalities well; the younger sister has always gotten along well with her sisters and has never thought of harming them.

She was reminding these young ladies that it wasn't her who wanted to harm them, but Jiang Wan'er.

Su Wanwan noticed out of the corner of her eye that the expressions of these young ladies had changed, and she was quite satisfied.

It seems that Miss Su and the others harbor a great deal of resentment towards Jiang Wan'er! This suits her just the way she wants.

Su Wanwan sniffed and continued, "Besides, Mother raised me, her younger sister, for twelve years. Yesterday, when my younger sister Wan'er pushed Mother into the water, she was very worried about Mother and thought of coming to pay her respects and show concern for her today."

His concern for Ms. Hu was a pretense; his real intention was to hang around her and annoy her.
