Jiang Wanwan and her two companions were on the oxcart when they saw Grandma Jiang and Grandpa Jiang and the others craning their necks to look in their direction from afar.
Jiang He, with his sharp eyes, spotted Jiang Wanwan and the other two, and his eyes lit up instantly. He ran towards them, shouting, "Sister, sister, you're finally back!"
When Jiang Jiang and Jiang Hu saw this, they were also extremely excited and ran after them.
After calling for help, the three boys climbed onto the oxcart without saying a word. They grinned foolishly, "Hehe, finally we're riding in the oxcart!"
Uncle Jiang looked at Jiang Hehu and the other two speechlessly, "It's only a few steps away, and they still have to climb onto the oxcart."
Jiang Hu rolled his eyes at his father. "Dad, it's easy for you to say that when you're not in my shoes. You ride in an oxcart every day, so of course it's not new to you. But we only get to ride in one a day, so we have to make the most of every moment we can."
Upon hearing this, Jiang Wanwan felt a pang of sadness.
My older brothers are all teenagers now, and the number of times they've been to the town can be counted on one hand, let alone the county seat. They've probably never even set foot in the county seat.
Leaving aside these older brothers, the adults in the family must be the same.
Children need to see more of the world to broaden their horizons and inspire their fighting spirit.
Jiang Wanwan looked at Jiang Hu and said with a smile, "Third Brother, next time I have some free time, I'll definitely take you all to town for a stroll. Our whole family will go together!"
"Yay!" Jiang Hehu and the other two cheered and jumped for joy on the oxcart. If the location hadn't been inconvenient, they probably would have jumped up.
Jiang Xun, standing to the side, crossed his arms, slightly raised his chin, and muttered a few words while pouting, "Tch, it's just going to town, why are you all so excited? There's nothing fun in town, really!"
It's just a bit more bustling, with a wider variety of goods and better food in the restaurants, but it's not as fun as you think.
Jiang Jiang, Jiang He, and Jiang Hu really wanted to pin Jiang Xun down and give him a good beating.
"You brat, are you showing off here?" Jiang He's thick eyebrows shot up, and he waved his fist, pretending to hit Jiang Xun.
Knowing that his fighting skills were no match for Jiang He's, Jiang Xun quickly begged for mercy. "Oh, Second Brother, Second Brother, I was wrong, I was wrong. Second Brother, don't be angry. We got some food from the restaurant, it was delicious. Look, it's right there."
He pointed to one of the wooden barrels on the oxcart and said.
While they were playing around, the oxcart had already stopped outside the gate.
Jiang Xun jumped off the oxcart in a flash, and the three of them gathered around the wooden barrel. Sure enough, there was a large food box inside the barrel.
The three men, Jiang Hehu and his companion, were visibly excited but dared not utter a sound. They carried the wooden bucket off the oxcart and quickly entered their own courtyard.
Grandma Jiang moved with surprising agility, weaving through the crowd to the oxcart. She looked up at Jiang Wanwan and greeted her warmly. "Wanwan, my dear granddaughter, I've missed you terribly all day."
Jiang Wanwan: "......."
Think about the money she makes!
"Grandma, I miss you too," Jiang Wanwan said.
"You must be tired after a long day. Come on, let me help you down from the cart, slowly, okay?" Grandma Jiang reached out and helped Jiang Wanwan slowly get off the oxcart.
Jiang Wanwan: Suddenly, I had the feeling of Rong Momo helping the Empress out of her sedan chair.
She is the Empress, and the old lady is Rong Momo!
