"Wanwan, it's me, Second Aunt." A clear voice rang out.
Jiang Wanwan was a little puzzled. Why was her second aunt coming to see her so late? Was there something wrong?
Could it be that she was looking for Jiang Erbo about work-related matters?
With a puzzled look in her eyes, Jiang Wanwan got out of bed, slipped on her shoes, walked to the door, and opened it.
Zhu's smiling face immediately lit up. "Wanwan, your second aunt has come to bring you clothes. The clothes I made for you some time ago are finished. I'll bring them out for you to try on and see if they fit."
After she finished speaking, she waved the two sets of clothes in her hand.
When Jiang Wanwan saw the two sets of clothes in her hands, she remembered how she had tricked Uncle Jiang a while ago, making him buy her a few feet of cloth and ask Zhu Shi to help make clothes.
I've been so busy lately that I almost forgot about it.
She moved aside to make room for Madam Zhu to come in. "Second Aunt, come in quickly."
Zhu entered Jiang Wanwan's room, quickly glanced around, and then looked away.
She sighed inwardly, noting how clean Wan'er's room was, much cleaner and tidier than her two sons' rooms.
Oh dear—why doesn't she have a daughter? She only had two sons.
I used to be so proud, but now I feel so regretful.
Zhu turned her head and thought, "My niece is also my own daughter. Shouldn't I just treat her like my own daughter?"
This made Zhu's smile deepen.
"Come on, Wanwan, try on these two outfits and see if they fit. If they don't, your second aunt will alter them for you."
"Okay, thank you, Second Aunt." Jiang Wanwan smiled and took the clothes from Zhu Shi.
She glanced down and her eyes lit up instantly.
In the past, when Uncle Jiang told her how amazing Zhu's embroidery skills were, she never took it seriously. But today, seeing it for herself, she realized that Zhu's embroidery skills were indeed extraordinary.
The stitches on the clothes were neat and dense, and the most eye-catching feature was the embroidery on both outer garments. The light pink outer garment had auspicious patterns embroidered on the cuffs, collar, and hem. On the chest, there was an embroidered lotus and fish motif, with two small koi fish splashing water droplets and a brightly blooming lotus flower in the middle, so lifelike that it looked just like the real thing.
The other light blue outer garment features embroidered cloud patterns on the cuffs, collar, and hem. A begonia and butterfly embroidery is embroidered on the blank space at the chest, and several lifelike butterflies are scattered on the shoulders and other blank spaces, as if the butterflies would fly off the garment at any moment.
This embroidery can be considered top-notch.
If this were in modern times, a single piece of clothing would sell for five figures!
Jiang Wanwan carefully touched the pattern on the clothes, looked up at Zhu Shi with a glint in her eyes, and said with a sincere smile, "Second Aunt, your embroidery skills are simply superb! Even the famous embroiderers in the capital may not be able to compare with you."
Zhu's eyes lit up as she looked at Jiang Wanwan excitedly, "Wanwan, are you telling the truth? Don't try to fool your second aunt."
Jiang Wanwan smiled and said, "I'm telling the truth. How could I possibly lie to you?"
Upon hearing this, the smile in Zhu's eyes deepened.
She always knew that her embroidery skills were excellent, at least unmatched in the surrounding area. But compared to the embroiderers in the capital, she had no idea just how good her skills were.
Wan Yatou is well-traveled and knowledgeable, and she even lived in the capital. If she says it's good, then it really is good.
In Zhu's view, this was officially certified!
Watching Zhu Shi's light and quick steps as she left, Jiang Wanwan fell into deep thought.
My second aunt's talent should not be wasted; she should be given a platform to showcase it.
She hasn't come up with a better idea yet.
