Chapter 476 Wan'er is missing

"Wanwan left a letter saying she had to go out for a while and that we shouldn't worry about her," Jiang Jialin said worriedly.

"What?" Upon hearing that her beloved daughter was missing, Madam Lu instantly snapped out of her daze and sat bolt upright in bed.

She took the letter from Jiang Jialin and quickly scanned it, but still had no idea where her precious daughter was. "Husband, what should we do?"

Lu was suddenly at a loss.

Her eyes reddened, and tears welled up in her eyes. "Husband, are we going to lose our daughter again? Waaah~~"

Jiang Jialin quickly stepped forward and hugged Madam Lu, gently coaxing her, "Mingzhu, don't worry. Wanwan must have gone to take care of something, and that's why she didn't tell us in the letter so as not to worry us. We'll go ask Wangcai later; he might know where our daughter is."

"Yes, Wangcai, let's go find Wangcai." Madam Lu hurriedly changed her clothes, put on her shoes, and ran out of the house, then arrived at the house where Qi Zhao was temporarily staying.

"Bang bang bang!"

"Wangcai? Wangcai, are you there? I need to talk to you." Madam Lu called out as she knocked on the door.

However, no one responded to her calls.

The noise attracted the attention of everyone in the Jiang family.

"Sister-in-law, what happened?" Hu asked suspiciously.

"Sister-in-law, Wanwan left only a letter and then disappeared."

Upon hearing Lu's reply, everyone in the Jiang family became anxious.

"Wanwan, where did she go? Did the letter say anything?" All eyes in the Jiang family were on Madam Lu.

Madam Lu shook her head, took out the letter left by Jiang Wanwan and handed it to everyone, saying with a worried expression, "No, she didn't say where she went in the letter."

The Jiang family members craned their necks to look, and Uncle Jiang said, "Wan'er and Wangcai have been spending a lot of time together lately. Let's ask him, maybe he knows."

After saying that, Uncle Jiang disregarded everything else and forcefully pushed open the door to the room where Qi Zhao was temporarily staying.

The Jiang family went inside, but the house was spotless. They found neither Qi Zhao nor any of his belongings.

The house was so clean that there was no trace of anyone having lived there, as if no one had ever lived there at all.

The Jiang family stared blankly at the house, completely at a loss.

They wanted to immediately set off in an oxcart to find Jiang Wanwan, but were stopped by Jiang Jialin, who still retained a shred of reason. "Since Wanwan left us a letter, she must have something important to take care of. She and Wangcai disappeared together, so it must be related to those men in black."

"We'd better not act rashly, lest we ruin Wanwan's grand plan."

Upon hearing this, everyone felt that Jiang Jialin's analysis made a lot of sense. Although they were very worried about her, they could only wait at home for Jiang Wanwan to come home.

As dawn broke, the sky gradually brightened.

Su Wan'er's face was pale, her brows were furrowed, and she felt extremely weak and sore in all her limbs, especially her waist and legs. In addition, it felt as if something heavy was pressing down on her chest, making it difficult to breathe.

She closed her eyes tightly and tried to push the heavy objects off her body with her hands, but her outstretched hands had no strength at all; they were utterly limp.

She forced herself to lift her hands despite the soreness, but her palms touched a warm, hot object.

The feel of it...

Why does this feel like a nightmare from my past life?
