"Yaojie! What are you doing here?" Zhao Erleng's wife had just walked in when she saw Jiang Yaojie sitting in the inn looking at the account book.
Upon hearing the name "Yaojie," Er Ya's face turned deathly pale. She looked terrified and hid behind Zhao Erleng's wife.
Jiang Yaojie looked up at Zhao Erleng's wife and greeted her politely, explaining, "Aunt Erleng, my mother was worried that you wouldn't be able to handle things tonight, so she asked me to lend you a hand!"
Zhao Erleng's wife nodded and said, "Okay, Yaojie, you'll have a hard night too!"
Jiang Yaojie nodded, but his expression suddenly changed when his gaze fell on Er Ya. His Adam's apple bobbed, but he didn't say anything in the end. He just glanced at Er Ya and continued to check the ledger.
Zhao Erleng's wife wasn't stupid. Jiang Yaojie's gaze just now was enough to prove how much she disliked Er Ya. She quickly patted Er Ya behind her and warned, "Er Ya, if you cause any more trouble, your aunt really can't help you! She'll have to send you back! Do you hear me!"
Er Ya immediately put on a frightened expression, nodded cautiously, and said, "I...I know! Auntie, I...I won't do it again!"
"Okay, then you can sit there obediently. Remember to tell me if you get sleepy!" Zhao Erleng's wife pointed to a spot furthest away from Jiang Yaojie and said.
Er Ya nodded and sat there obediently, looking somewhat at a loss.
"Hey, Yaojie! Where's Congxin?" A voice broke the drowsy Er Ya's sleep.
Er Ya quickly wiped the drool from the corner of her mouth and straightened her posture.
Zhao Qianyu walked in from outside with a group of classmates. Jiang Yaojie smiled when he saw Zhao Qianyu.
"I was busy today and didn't get to take care of you, so don't be upset!" Jiang Yaojie said.
Zhao Qianyu smiled and teased, "Why are you being so polite with me? Is this also from your godmother?"
Jiang Yaojie shook his head modestly and said, "No, it was built by the village. My mother told me that you'll be staying here today, so she specially reserved a few superior rooms for you!"
As he spoke, Jiang Yaojie began searching for the keys in the counter, and soon handed them out to Zhao Qianyu and the others.
Er Ya wasn't idle either, her eyes constantly scanning the crowd. Finally, she spotted Gan Kai in the crowd. Just as she was thinking about how to get closer to Gan Kai, Jiang Yaojie had already given the key to everyone and then walked up to Zhao Er Leng's wife.
"Aunt Erleng, my mother instructed that after these people arrive, we need to serve them the fruit that the kitchen has prepared!"
"Auntie, let me go with you!" Er Ya blurted out without thinking, but then covered her mouth when she saw Jiang Yaojie standing next to her.
Jiang Yaojie glanced at Er Ya indifferently without saying a word, then turned back to the counter to continue calculating the accounts.
Zhao Erleng's wife glanced at Er Ya and said, "Alright, you can come with me!"
Er Ya almost jumped up when she heard this. Suppressing her joy, she carried the prepared fruit and headed towards the top floor.
"Come in!" After three knocks, Er Ya was allowed to open the door.
Gan Kai appeared in front of Er Ya. He smiled when he saw her, gently stroked his chin, and said, "Little girl, we meet again! You missed me, didn't you?"
With her frivolous gaze and licentious words, an ordinary girl would have run away long ago, but Er Ya was different.
Although she was nervous, she tried her best to appear poised and graceful. She placed the fruit on the table and said, "Aunt Jiang said she's giving these to you as dessert tonight!"
Gan Kai smiled faintly, tossed the handkerchief Er Ya had left him during the day onto the table, stood up, walked to Er Ya's side, and gradually brought his head close to Er Ya's ear.
Er Ya felt a breath of hot air on her ear, and her face instinctively turned as red as an apple.
"Mmm...it smells really good!" Gan Kai said, taking a deep sniff of Er Ya's hair and blowing hot air into her ear.
Er Ya was, after all, a naive young girl who had never seen the world, and she covered her face, preparing to run away.
Unexpectedly, Gan Kai reached out and pulled Er Ya into his arms. Looking at Er Ya's shy appearance, Gan Kai's desire rose even higher.
He reached out and touched Er Ya's cheek.
"Er Ya! Er Ya! Where did you go!" A voice broke the ambiguity in the room.
Er Ya suddenly realized what was happening and pushed Gan Kai away, trying to escape. But Gan Kai grabbed Er Ya's arm again and said, "I'll be waiting for you tonight!"
As he spoke, he grabbed Er Ya's hand again in a flirtatious manner.
Er Ya's heart was pounding, her mind racing like a deer's. She quickly tidied her hair and, trying to appear calm, pushed open the door.
"Why is it taking so long to deliver fruit! We can't afford to offend the people living here, so hurry up and get out of here!" Zhao Erleng's wife's voice made Gan Kai's smile deepen.
At 9 PM, everyone fell into a deep sleep.
Er Ya, who was lying in bed, suddenly opened her eyes. She hesitated for a moment and then tiptoed out of bed.
The choice of the inn at night was somewhat eerie. Er Ya mustered her courage and, relying on her previous memories, quietly went to the top floor and pushed open Gan Kai's door.
As soon as the door was pushed open, two hands reached out from inside and pulled Er Ya inside.
The man's heavy breathing confused Er Ya.
"Little girl, what's your name?" Gan Kai's voice slowly rang out from midnight.
"I...I'm called Er Ya!" Er Ya realized her voice was trembling slightly as she spoke.
"Hmm, it's a good name! Simple and cute!" Gan Kai gently released Er Ya and lit the candles in the room.
The warm orange light made the already ambiguous room even more mysterious. Er Ya felt her whole body trembling violently, and even her legs felt weak.
In the darkness, Gan Kai was more wild than during the day. He gently pinched Er Ya's chin and led her to the soft bed.
