Chapter 375 The Disappearance of Jiang Wenxi

October 8th is an auspicious day for all activities.

Before dawn, Jiang Ling reluctantly sat up in bed, yawning. Today was Jiang Zhishan's big day, and even though her eyelids were drooping, Jiang Ling would use a matchstick to prop her eyes open.

Today, Jiang Ling naturally wouldn't dress too shabbily. She changed into her royal robes and wore the gold hairpin that had been bestowed upon her by the emperor.

"This thing is really heavy!" After Granny Zhu helped Jiang Ling put the last gold hairpin in her hair, Jiang Ling covered her neck and whispered.

"Auntie, you already feel heavy? What will happen when there are twelve rows of golden hairpins? You won't even be able to lift your head!" Today is Jiang Zhishan's big day, and Granny Zhu is joking with Jiang Ling.

Jiang Ling covered her neck and laughed, saying, "Twelve rows? Does that mean I've become a peacock?"

Grandma Zhu was somewhat surprised. "My lady, what is a flower... a peacock?"

Jiang Ling realized she had misspoke and quickly explained, "Well, how should I put it? It's an animal that we don't have in our country; it's an imported species. Some time ago, I saved a blond, blue-eyed merchant by the river! That merchant had a peacock with him. Its feathers were very long and beautifully colored, a blue with patterns. Its tail could be spread out, just like I am now!"

As she spoke, Jiang Ling pointed to the gold hairpin on her head. Granny Zhu nodded as if she understood. In her eyes, although her mistress was from a farming family, she knew a lot and seemed to have seen everything!

Seeing that Granny Zhu didn't respond, Jiang Ling knew that the matter was temporarily resolved. She glanced at herself in the mirror, then turned to Granny Zhu and said, "Let's go!"

Grandma Zhu helped Jiang Ling out of the bedroom.

The wedding procession had been waiting outside for a long time. Jiang Ling looked at Jiang Zhishan, who was dressed in a red wedding gown, and her eyes suddenly reddened. Although she was not the original Jiang Ling, based on her previous memories and the two years they had spent together, she seemed to have already accepted that Jiang Zhishan was her younger brother.

She quickly wiped her slightly reddened eyes, sniffed, and slipped into her carriage. She didn't want to embarrass herself in front of so many people.

Along the way, the sounds of music and firecrackers were constant.

Jiang Ling looked at Nianci beside her and asked, "Have you seen your second sister?"

Nianci frowned, looking thoughtful, and after a long while replied, "Didn't Second Sister say yesterday that she was going back to the Six Doors to bring her master and fellow disciples to congratulate Uncle?"

Upon hearing this, Jiang Ling felt a sense of panic for some reason.

She gently lifted the curtain and looked at the festive scene outside. She secretly hoped that she was just overthinking things and that Wenxi had simply returned to the Six Doors.

After an unknown amount of time, the carriage stopped. Jiang Shan pulled back the curtain and whispered, "My lady, we've arrived!"

Grandma Zhu helped Nianci, and Jiang Shan led Nianci as the four of them got out of the car.

At this moment, the entrance to the Qin residence was also decorated with lanterns and colorful decorations, and large red "double happiness" characters were pasted all over the Qin residence.

The Qin family members were very well-mannered and did not make things difficult for Jiang Zhishan. Before long, Qin Lingrui was carried out by Qin Yang, the eldest son of the Qin family.

Looking at Qin Lingrui, who was also dressed in a wedding gown and covered with a red veil, Jiang Zhishan suddenly felt excited.

The wedding procession went smoothly, and everyone returned to Jiang Zhishan's residence.

After going through the three stages of leading the red silk, crossing the fire basin, and stepping over the saddle, Jiang Zhishan finally brought Qin Lingrui to the inner hall.

At this moment, Grandma Jiang and the Qin couple were sitting in chairs.

"First bow to heaven and earth, second bow to parents, husband and wife bow to each other!" After these three bows, the newlyweds were led to their bridal chamber with everyone's blessings.

On this day, Jiang Zhishan's courtyard was bustling with activity. Although Jiang Ling greeted them with a smile, she kept wondering to herself that not only had she not seen any of the Six Doors members, but she had also not seen Jiang Wenxi or Jiang Ling at all.

After finishing everything, Jiang Ling exchanged a few words with Jiang Zhishan, and then had Jiang Shan drive the horse at full speed towards the Six Doors.

Just as Ye Feng was about to leave through the Six Doors, he encountered Jiang Ling's hurried carriage.

"What's wrong?" Ye Feng asked, noticing Jiang Ling's slightly furrowed brows.

"Wenxi, is Wenxi here?" Jiang Ling asked anxiously after sorting out her thoughts.

Ye Feng frowned upon hearing this, and looked at Jiang Ling with a puzzled expression, shaking her head. "No! I've already approved Wen Xi's leave so she can spend some time with you! What's wrong?"

"Wenxi didn't come to see you yesterday?" Jiang Ling asked, her whole body covered in cold sweat, and her voice trembled noticeably as she spoke.

Ye Feng noticed that Jiang Ling's expression was a little strange, so she reached out and grabbed Jiang Ling, leading her into the Six Doors.

"No! You mean Wenxi is missing?" Ye Feng asked as he walked.

At this moment, Jiang Ling felt as if she had been struck by lightning, her mind was buzzing, and if Ye Feng hadn't been holding her, she would have definitely collapsed to the ground with her legs giving way.

Seeing that Jiang Ling was almost speechless, Jiang Shan quickly added, "Yes, the Second Miss didn't come back yesterday. I heard from the Young Master that the Second Miss said she was going back to the Six Doors yesterday, and it seems she wanted to take you all to congratulate Master Zhishan!"

Jiang Ling nodded weakly, licked her chapped lips, and said, "Yes, Nianci told me that Wenxi said she went back to the Six Doors yesterday!"

Ye Feng inwardly cried out in alarm. She frowned and looked at Jiang Ling, saying, "Would you believe me if I said I didn't see Wen Xi at all yesterday?"

Jiang Ling nodded emphatically: "You are her master, how could I not believe what you say?"

Ye Feng frowned and began to think. After a long while, she looked at Jiang Ling and asked, "Sister Jiang, have you had any conflicts with anyone since you came to Shengjing?"
