When the man saw Jiang Ling about to close the door, his thick, fat fingers immediately grabbed the door to stop her from doing so.
"I don't know you. If you continue to be so rude, I'll call for help!" Jiang Ling glared at the man and scolded him.
The man scoffed and squeezed out a few words from his thick lips, "You may not know me, but you must know Luo Miaoran!"
Jiang Ling glanced at the man again. Hmm, there was indeed a resemblance between his eyebrows and Luo Miaoran's. Looking at the man's angry face, she knew without a doubt that he was Luo Miaoran's father.
"Oh, what's wrong?" Jiang Ling's reply was nonchalant, but it infuriated the fat man beside her.
He reached out and pointed at Jiang Ling's nose, yelling, "What's wrong? What's wrong? Aren't you ashamed that you, a widow, are bullying my daughter?"
"Haha." Jiang Ling was so angry at this man who twisted the truth that she burst out laughing. Leaning against the railing, she continued nonchalantly, "I'm ashamed? So your daughter bullies my daughter and she's not ashamed? She should be proud of it?"
"You! You're talking nonsense! My daughter has always been well-behaved and obedient. How could she possibly bully anyone? It must be your country bumpkin daughter who doesn't know the rules and angered my daughter!" Men are naturally no match for women when it comes to arguing. Jiang Ling's words made him furious, and he started talking incoherently.
Just as he and Jiang Ling were at an impasse, Zhao Erleng's wife, who had gotten up early to go to the fields, heard the commotion and rushed over.
"Oh dear, what's wrong with Yaojie's mother?" Zhao Erleng's wife hurried over and asked.
