Chapter 2 Master Kongchen

"Senior Brother Xuanzi, could you lend me a set of clothes? If possible, I would also like to take a bath and change," Leng Ning asked Kong Xuanzi.

Kong Xuanzi understood: "Okay, please follow me." He then led Leng Ning into the inner room.

The room contained a wooden tub for bathing, a wooden bed against the wall, and a small carved wooden wardrobe next to the bed, which contained several pieces of women's clothing.

It seems these clothes were prepared for him. Just who is this Master Kongchen?

The room was small, but very clean.

"Please wait a moment, sir, I'll go fetch you some water."

"Thank you, Senior Brother Xuanzi."

Before long, Kong Xuanzi brought two buckets of water, one hot and one cold, and poured them into the buckets respectively. Then he left and closed the door behind him.

Seeing this, Leng Ning didn't delay any longer, took off her clothes, and stepped into the tub to bathe.

She leaned against the bucket, processing the day's events in her mind alone...

In the evening, after dinner, Kong Xuanzi gave Leng Ning some medicine for her injuries.

Leng Ning returned to her room and applied the wound medicine to her body.

Only then did I realize that the pain all over my body today wasn't because of the severity of the injury, but because I had scratches all over my body, with relatively long wounds on my arms, thighs, and back.

Leng Ning guessed that the original owner must have been injured after falling off a cliff.

Today she looked closely and found that the cliff was not very high, but many thorny shrubs and some small nettles grew on it.

No wonder I felt both pain and itching when I woke up.

"It seems a careless little girl accidentally fell off the cliff," Leng Ning said regretfully.

But what she didn't know was that the original owner of this body hadn't fallen accidentally; rather, it was a premeditated act where lightning struck, causing the soul to leave the body…

On the second day after Leng Ning arrived in Dayue Kingdom, at 1:15 AM.

When Leng Ning got up, Kong Xuanzi was sitting on a futon drinking tea, and there was a plate of snacks made by Kong Xuanzi on the table.

"Master should arrive in another hour. Let's have some snacks first."

"Thank you, senior brother," Leng Qingning said with a smile.

The two started talking about Yue Kingdom.

It turns out this is a continent where women are respected.

Legend has it that two thousand years ago, before the Hidden World Continent was named, there was a divine bird called Cangluan, a phoenix.

The divine bird was entirely blue, and later people called it the Azure Phoenix.

This divine bird came from an unknown place. After flying to the Hidden World Continent, it settled there and lived there for hundreds of years. It can transform into a human. Its divine power makes this continent full of life, and the flowers, plants and trees grow strong.

Centuries later, a great calamity struck, and an unprecedented earthquake occurred on the hidden continent.

Overwhelmed with grief, the Azure Phoenix exhausted its divine power to restore life to the Hidden World Continent, and transformed all its feathers into human figures with different appearances.

Its wings possess the greatest divine power; the feathers on its wings transformed into various women with different appearances, while the feathers on its body transformed into men.

Therefore, women in the Hidden World Continent have slightly better physical fitness, longer lifespans, and stronger self-healing abilities than men.

However, since they were both descendants of the divine bird, the man did not appear too delicate, only slightly weaker than the woman.

After the divine bird transformed into humankind, it vanished into the world, and its Azure Phoenix Heart sank into the earth, forever guarding the Hidden World Continent.

In the millennia that followed, no matter how the world changed or how the nation split, one thing remained constant: all the people of the hidden continent revered the Azure Phoenix as a divine creature.

He devoted his life to worshipping the mythical bird, the Azure Phoenix.

The Kongmen Mountain in Yue Kingdom also advocates universal salvation, protecting the people of Yue Kingdom just like the heart of the Azure Phoenix.

After hearing this, Leng Ning roughly understood the situation; this place was indeed completely different from the country she lived in.

This Kongmen Mountain is similar to the religions she knows, both being about great benevolence and serving the people.

That's good. It seems that Master Kongchen and Kongxuanzi are trustworthy people.

Just then, footsteps sounded outside the door…

Leng Ning looked up and saw a woman in her thirties, dressed in white, with a gentle smile on her face, walking gracefully towards the door.

Her steps were as light as a breeze or as soft as mist, so light that there was not a sound.

However, the two junior disciples following behind her seemed to be walking with a slightly heavy pace.

Her hair was tied up high on top, and a simple yet extraordinary white jade hairpin made her look like a fairy from the Jade Terrace, while the lower layers of hair fell naturally, giving people a sense of intimacy and warmth.

What a nice view!

Leng Ning felt a wave of comfort wash over her, as if she were bathed in a gentle breeze, and for a moment she forgot to get up and pay her respects.

It seems she is Master Kongchen. Leng Ning had imagined Master Kongchen to be a wise and venerable old man.

Master Kongchen approached and smiled slightly at Leng Ning. Leng Ning reacted quickly, stood up, and gave a standard bow.

Leng Ning was unfamiliar with the local etiquette, so she simply bowed, albeit with a slightly exaggerated gesture.

Master Kongchen looked into Leng Ning's eyes and thought of the words on the divinely bestowed stone.

The two stars have returned to their rightful places, heaven and earth are in harmony, the phoenixes have reunited, and the world is unified!

Leng Ning stepped forward obediently and said, "Master, please sit down. Let me pour you some tea."

Master Kongchen took his seat and looked at Leng Ning with affection, saying, "Qing Ning, there's no need to call me Master. Just call me Master along with Xuanzi. You should be my disciple."

Kong Xuanzi, who was standing to the side, opened his mouth, thinking: Is she my legendary junior sister?

Leng Ning asked in confusion, "Master? But this is the first time I've met you, and why do you call me Qing Ning? My name is Leng Ning."

"Qingning is your name here; all your sisters belong to the Qing generation."

"What sisters? Master, please explain more clearly."
