Outside Chang Le City
"Ah Che, you guys go back now, I'll be back soon." Leng Qingning held Wen Yanche's hand and said goodbye.
"Ning'er, send me a letter when you reach Cangqiong. Be sure to go safely." Wen Yanche's eyes were filled with deep reluctance.
"I understand, my husband. I will return as soon as possible."
He pulled Leng Qingning into his arms and kissed her forehead, ignoring everyone's stares.
"I long for your early return."
Leng Qingning nodded shyly, "Okay."
Gu Nanshu stepped forward and handed a bag of food to Biluo, "My lady, have a safe journey, we'll be waiting for you."
Leng Qingning smiled brightly at Gu Nanshu. "Nanshu, thank you for managing the household for A-Che these past few days." She then looked at the others: "Xianzhi, Shiyi, Xiaocheng, take care of yourselves."
"We will, my lady."
Everyone reluctantly bid farewell to Leng Qingning…
At the dock, a man in blue had been waiting for a long time.
As soon as Leng Qingning and her group stepped off the carriage, Kong Xuanzi smiled and called out loudly, "Junior Sister, over here."
Everyone looked in the direction of the voice and saw a handsome man with sharp eyebrows and bright eyes walking over.
"Ning'er, who is he?" Chi Yan's gaze deepened, his face filled with wariness.
Cang Yuan scrutinized Kong Xuanzi, his expression cold.
Everyone looked puzzled. Who was this handsome man with an ethereal aura?
Leng Qingning raised her eyebrows and said cheerfully, "He is my senior brother, Kong Xuanzi."
"Senior Brother Xuanzi, I'm sorry to have kept you waiting."
Kong Xuanzi raised an eyebrow and asked with amusement, "Junior sister, I heard you married several stunningly handsome husbands, is that true?" As he asked, his gaze swept over everyone, finally settling on Chi Yan and Cang Yuan.
Chi Yan narrowed his eyes and looked back at them.
"Heh, looks like a troublemaker," Kong Xuanzi thought to himself.
Leng Qingning paused slightly, realizing she had almost forgotten that her senior brother was the most gossipy person around.
"Senior brother, it's been so long, you haven't changed at all."
"Really? That's great." Kong Xuanzi naturally took the snack box from Leng Qingning's hand, took a piece and stuffed it into his mouth. "Junior sister, I've been waiting for you so long I'm starving."
"Then let's get on the boat quickly," Leng Qingning said.
The group packed their luggage and boarded the heavy-duty ship.
After Kong Xuanzi finished eating and drinking, he pulled Leng Qingning aside and asked her all sorts of questions. Chi Yan tried to interject several times but couldn't get a word in edgewise.
"Junior sister, so you already have nine husbands? And you've expanded your business empire too? Impressive! You've reached the pinnacle of your life in just a few months?"
"Not quite at the peak, Senior Brother, please don't tease me." Leng Qingning's scalp tingled; she couldn't continue this rambling. "By the way, Senior Brother, did Master ask you to pass on a message?"
Kong Xuanzi sat up straight in an instant, his expression solemn. "Master has already instructed me to protect you well on this trip. Whether it will bring fortune or misfortune is still unknown." He glanced at Chi Yan and continued, "But don't worry, Junior Sister, Senior Brother will accompany you the whole way."
Chi Yan frowned: "What do you mean by that?"
"The literal meaning." Kong Xuanzi sipped his tea leisurely.
"you!"
"Ning'er, he's trying to sow discord."
Seeing that Chi Yan was about to lose his temper again, Leng Qingning calmed him down and made him sit down. She then asked Kong Xuanzi, "What does Senior Brother mean?"
"It's nothing, don't worry, junior sister, I'll protect you." Kong Xuanzi didn't want to say more.
Cang Yuan frowned in deep thought, his grip on the Cangwu Sword tightening.
Chi Yan's eyes were probing, a barely perceptible glint of shrewdness flashing in his scrutinizing gaze. Could it be that he knew something?
The ship sailed at sea for more than half a month before finally arriving at the Sky Realm.
As soon as they disembarked, more than a dozen guards in black uniforms knelt down.
"Welcome back to the mountain, Your Excellency."
Chi Yan responded indifferently, "Mm."
Everyone was stunned by the sight before them as they disembarked.
What comes into view is a vast, continuous mountain range that stretches as far as the eye can see, but upon closer inspection, it reveals a hidden paradise.
Above the halfway point of each mountain range, numerous buildings are scattered throughout, creating a magnificent and spectacular sight.
From the angle from which Leng Qingning and her group stood, they couldn't see the whole picture. They could only see the first few mountains, while the peaks behind them were just silhouettes, layer upon layer, almost standing tall in the clouds.
It's not hard to imagine that those mountains were also filled with palaces, truly blessed places to live, which shows how vast and expansive the heavens and earth are.
The breathtaking view of the sky deeply shocked everyone, leaving them speechless. They were astonished that such a magical place existed in the hidden world; its vastness could hardly be mistaken for another country.
Chi Yan looked at the astonished expressions on everyone's faces with an arrogant expression.
"Cang Qiong truly lives up to his reputation." Cang Yuan had once been a secret guard, and he knew quite a bit about Cang Qiong. But seeing it with his own eyes still deeply shocked him.
Leng Qingning exclaimed in shock, "My God, Ah Yan, how many mines does your family own?"
"Not many, just a few hundred gold and silver mines, and tens of thousands of worthless oil and coal mines."
His languid tone and nonchalant expression truly stung the mouths of the people around him.
Young master, we were too easily swayed...
"They're gone."
Chi Yan took a few steps forward first, but hearing no movement, he turned back and smiled at Leng Qingning: "Ning'er? Aren't you leaving?"
Leng Qingning and the others came to their senses and got into the carriage.
Along the way, everyone looked at Cangqiong Mountain City through the car windows.
It was no less impressive than Chang Le City, with bustling restaurants and a constant flow of traffic, offering everything imaginable.
Biluo and the others had a completely new impression of Chi Yan.
The carriage slowly passed through the city, drove into the deepest mountain peak, and entered the most magnificent palace.
"Ning'er, we've arrived." Chi Yan helped Leng Qingning out of the car.
"This is the Venerable Lord's Palace. Ning'er, rest in my palace for today. After I have met with my mother and sister, I will take you there tomorrow."
“Okay,” Leng Qingning replied.
Chi Yan led everyone into the hall, where they saw that the beams were made of sandalwood, the lamps were made of crystal and jade, the curtains were made of pearls, and the column bases were made of gold.
The interior pillars of these halls are supported by multiple massive silver pillars, each carved with a lifelike golden phoenix that spirals around it, making them exceptionally magnificent.
After settling in, the group rested briefly. Chi Yan changed his clothes and took a bath before heading to another main hall.
A faint red glow emanated from the golden-roofed main hall.
Chi Yan bowed respectfully. "Greetings, Mother; greetings, elder sister."
The middle-aged woman on the phoenix throne at the head of the table nodded slightly. "It's good that you're back. My son, you may rise."
"Brother, please sit down." The woman sitting to the side looked a little haggard and coughed a few times.
He took a breath and continued, "Brother, how was the trip? Did it go smoothly?"
"I have brought the person and placed him in the Venerable Lord's Hall. The formation can be activated tomorrow."
"Very good, Yan'er, you did a good job," the middle-aged woman praised.
Chi Yin smiled and said, "Brother, you've had a hard time. Have you encountered any difficulties while you've been away?"
"Don't worry, sister. Everything went very smoothly this time. In a few days, you and Mother will be fully recovered and reborn."
