Of course, everything he did was done in secret. He couldn't let Jiang Yu know, and he dared not let Su Jinshi see it either.
Therefore, in order to avoid attracting the attention of his superiors, he had to find a reason to get rid of one of the female workers in the group and then arrange for Jiang Meier to join.
The sample was progressing smoothly, and Jiang Yu finished it in just a few days. Su Jinshi's office was receiving four or five phone calls a day, all from Principal Han's assistant, inquiring whether Mr. Gong's students had any free time.
That day, Jiang Yu came to the company as usual to handle follow-up matters and decide on the pattern on the clothes.
In the courtyard of the garment factory, a car that hadn't been seen for a long time came into view.
Luo Zewen was the first to come out to greet him. When he saw that familiar face again, apart from the unchanged facial features, he could hardly recognize him.
Su Yujing had changed her appearance entirely, sporting a neat short haircut and a simple suit. What remained unchanged was her striking earring, which shimmered like a lake in the sunlight.
"President Su, you're finally back. During your absence, I couldn't eat or sleep, and I worried every day about whether you were doing well and whether you were being harassed by our partners."
As soon as Luo Zewen started flattering her, Su Yujing looked at his round face and saw through his lie.
Upon hearing the news, Su Jin rushed out of the office building in a hurry. Because she was walking too fast, she twisted her ankle and had to be helped to walk limping towards the compound.
Luo Zewen scratched his head, wanting to say something else to ease the awkwardness, when he just saw Jiang Yu walking towards him into the light. He changed the subject:
"In the past few days, General Manager Jiang has secured several major projects, including some of the most difficult clients. Not only that, he also added the maximum benefit to those tough nuts to crack."
Upon hearing this, everyone turned to look at him.
"???"
Jiang Yu was completely bewildered, not knowing why she had become the center of attention as soon as she arrived.
"Thank you for your hard work. All the contracts signed during this period will be converted into cash for you in equal amounts. You won't be shortchanged by a single penny."
When he saw the woman again, she was still as radiant as ever. Su Yujing knew what she wanted, and naturally, he would keep his promise and do what he said he would do.
"Of course I believe in President Su's promise."
Jiang Yu nodded, trusting the man's character. At this point, the atmosphere froze. His underlings looked around, hoping their boss would quickly invite them into the company for a chat.
"How did the project negotiations go?"
She looked at Su Yujing, and after thinking for a while, she finally asked. She hadn't intended to say anything polite, but the man seemed to be expecting her concern.
"It's alright, although it's a bit difficult, it's not too hard for me."
Su Yujing grinned, revealing a row of white teeth. After receiving the greetings he wanted, he instructed everyone to head to the office.
"I heard you went home for a business marriage. How was it? Not bad, right?"
On the way, Jiang Yu couldn't suppress her gossipy nature and suddenly asked. The scene froze, and the follower chuckled, swallowing hard.
They swore that they had worked diligently by their boss's side during this time and had no time to spread such baseless rumors.
"Brother, you're back."
Su Jinshi, limping, happened to bump into the other person. Forgetting her foot pain, she lunged at Su Yujing, nearly knocking the man away.
"Su Jinshi, what are you doing here?"
The man lost his balance and looked on incredulously when he saw his sister. He clearly remembered his father saying that Su Jinshi had gone on a trip with friends, which was why he had gone to the provincial capital without worry. He was worried that she would come to the company to cause trouble for Jiang Yu.
"What, judging from your tone, it seems you don't welcome me?"
The young lady looked so arrogant, her eyes practically rolling to the sky. It was obvious he was completely infatuated with other women, neglecting even his own sister from the same parents.
"I have other things to attend to, so I cannot keep you company."
Seeing Su Jinshi's gaze, which seemed to want to devour her, Jiang Yu made an excuse and slipped away. Neither of these siblings was easy to deal with.
"So, you told the people at the company that I went home to go on a blind date after finishing the project?"
The air in the CEO's office was as cold as if it were frozen. Su Yujing, his face grim, questioned his younger sister.
"So what happened?"
Su Jinshi pouted, looking aggrieved.
"What's so good about that Jiang Yu? Apart from being decent-looking, she's really hard to describe in other aspects. I don't know what my brother was thinking, entrusting such an important position in the company to her. Aren't you worried that she'll sabotage you behind your back and ruin all the hard work you've put in over the years?"
The more she spoke, the more aggrieved she became, and tears welled up in her eyes, threatening to spill over at any moment.
Seeing this, Su Yujing realized that she had been too fierce, and her voice softened noticeably.
"It's not that I'm being mean to you, but if you say that and someone with ulterior motives hears it, they might think that Qingyun is finished and that's why we're rushing to go on blind dates to gather resources at this critical juncture when Bo Yi is rising in popularity. Although we all know that, how can we defend against rumors? Have you thought about that?"
When he began to earnestly educate Su Jin, he finally stopped lecturing:
"Alright, tell me, what exactly happened with Principal Han of the prestigious school?"
......
In Jiang Yu's office, she sat in her chair, rubbing her temples and lost in thought. She couldn't decide on a pattern for the clothes; her inspiration seemed to have dried up, leaving her completely at a loss.
Feeling that sitting here all the time was pointless, I thought I'd go down and wander around, watch the workers at work, and maybe something would come to my mind.
Upon arriving at the workshop, she was greeted by a scene of bustling activity, a sight unlike anything she had seen in the office building. She slowed her pace, trying to absorb the atmosphere, when a male voice called out to her.
"President Jiang, I never expected that someone as important as you would forgo the private space of an office and instead dedicate yourself to the workshop. I underestimated you."
Lu Yi followed Jiang Yu to a corner, his words dripping with sarcasm. In his opinion, she had ruined the vice president's position; if she didn't know how to enjoy it, he might as well have taken it from her.
"There are many things you underestimate; you should learn from them."
Unlike the original owner, Jiang Yu is not susceptible to such low-level PUA tactics.
"Don't speak too soon. Jiang Chun is in jail. You must be scared, right? If President Su finds out you have a murderer as your father, what will he think? Will you still be able to keep your high position in the company?"
Lu Yi smiled slyly, looking at the woman in front of him.
"How about this, you give me hush money, and I promise to keep this matter a secret and never mention it again. But how much it is depends on your sincerity."
His calculations were so advanced they were practically reaching for the heavens; Jiang Yu was even afraid the abacus beads would jump onto her face.
"So you've been in contact with Jiang Meier all along, and this whole thing was your doing?"
Jiang Yu seemed to have thought of something.
"Tell me, where is Jiang Meier?"
