Chapter 154 The Turmoil at Yun Mansion 1

Lin Yinan was halfway through writing when drowsiness overcame her. She put away the papers, climbed into bed, lay down, and fell asleep.

She didn't even know when Yun Mo came back.

Yun Mo glanced at the low couch by the window, but he didn't want to sleep on it. So he quietly moved to the bedside. Seeing that Lin Yinan hadn't woken up, he quietly climbed onto the bed and lay down. He glanced at the person next to him out of the corner of his eye, but there was still no movement. He moved further in and pulled up a corner of the blanket to cover himself.

At this moment, Lin Yinan rolled over, startling Yun Mo so much that he quickly closed his eyes and didn't dare to breathe.

When he came to his senses, he realized that Lin Yinan had rolled over and pinned his arm under her, her round belly pressing against his waist. Yun Mo tried to turn around to face her.

This was the first time I had been so close to Lin Yinan that I could see even the fine downy hairs on her face.

Looking at her sleeping face, he reached out to stroke it, but something gently kicked his waist. Yun Mo took the opportunity to place his large hand on hers, and the little thing in Lin Yinan's belly kicked even more enthusiastically.

Yun Mo's lips curled up slightly, his eyes filled with tenderness. He unconsciously moved closer to her and planted a kiss on her lips. Like a cat that had stolen some cream, he closed his eyes and fell asleep peacefully in Lin Yinan's arms after being satisfied.

The next day, Lin Yinan was awakened by the shouting and cursing of the children in the yard.

Yun Mo was not in the room. There was a neatly folded quilt on the low couch, so he must have slept there last night.

The crying and commotion in the yard grew louder. Lin Yinan pushed open the door and went out, only to see several children fighting in the yard.

To be precise, it wasn't a group fight, but rather Yun Ming pressing down on three children who were about his age and rubbing them against the ground.

The three brothers, Yun Kang, Yun Hao, and Yun Ling, were beaten black and blue. Yun Mo's two sons, eight-year-old Yun Junpeng and six-year-old Yun Junhong, stood aside crying with red eyes.

Lin Yinan stepped forward and pulled the two brothers to the corridor to examine them, thinking they had been beaten. "What happened to you two? Did it hurt anywhere?"

"Third Aunt!" Upon hearing her question, Yun Junpeng cried even harder, gasping for breath.

Yun Junhong threw himself into Lin Yinan's arms, his voice hoarse from crying, "Third Aunt, I miss Dad!"

The two Luo brothers stood beside her, looking sorrowful and helpless. Lin Yinan looked at the older Luo Xuwei.

Luo Xuwei obediently recounted what had happened.

After breakfast, the group was playing in the yard when the three Yun brothers came over and told Yun Junpeng that he was a child born of a mother but raised by no father, and that he would be sold into a male prostitute sooner or later.

After saying that, Luo Xuwei's eyes reddened again. He knew that the male homosexual brothel was not a good place.

Before Lin Yinan could comfort the four children, a commotion arose at the courtyard gate. It was Yunmu and Madam Wang who had arrived.

Lady Wang was originally having tea and chatting with her concubines and Yunmu in the flower hall when a servant came to report, so she hurriedly brought her people over.

Upon entering the courtyard, everyone saw Yun Kang and Yun Ling lying on the ground, their faces swollen like pig's heads, clutching their stomachs and howling. Yun Ming was straddling Yun Hao, slapping him repeatedly from side to side while muttering, "Serves you right for being so foul-mouthed! Serves you right for talking about my older brother..."

With her eldest son beaten, Madam Wei's hands trembled as she screamed to the servants, "Yunhao, quickly go and pull him away!"

Yunming caught sight of the servant approaching, shook his aching hand, stood up, and, still seething with anger, kicked the person on the ground hard again.

Looking at her three illegitimate sons, who had been beaten beyond recognition, Madam Wang felt extremely comfortable, with a sense of relief that even her mammary glands felt much clearer, but her face still showed the expression of a loving mother.

"Yun Ming, how dare you injure someone in the Yun residence!"

Madam Wei rushed to Yun Hao's side, crying loudly, "Madam, look what he's done to Yun Hao and his brother! You must do justice for us!"

"What happened?" Wang asked Yunming, who was rubbing his wrists.

"They were foul-mouthed, I showed mercy by not killing them!" The fifteen-year-old boy said with disdain, not feeling that he had done anything wrong.

Upon hearing this, Madam Wei was furious. She stood up abruptly, her eyebrows furrowed, her almond eyes wide, and she said aggressively, "You beat Yun Hao like this and it wasn't enough? You actually wanted to kill him! How could you allow me, the fourth young master of the Yun family, to be bullied like this..."

Fearing she might say something inappropriate, Wang quickly stopped her, "Shut up. Don't spout nonsense before things are cleared up."

An was still afraid of Wang, the matriarch of the household.

Then, in a gentle tone, she asked Yun Ming, "Yun Ming, tell me what happened?"

Yun Ming angrily turned his head to the side, ignoring her question.

Yunmu frowned slightly. She knew Yunming's personality well, and something must have happened to make him lose his temper. She looked at Lin Yinan under the corridor and asked, "Yinan, do you know what happened?"

Lin Yinan smiled, but the smile didn't reach her eyes. "I was also woken up by the noise. When I got up, I saw the Junpeng brothers crying terribly."

Yunmu turned her gaze to her two grandsons, whose eyes were red from crying. "Peng'er, come and tell your grandmother what happened?"

Yun Junpeng sobbed as he recounted the whole story, and Yun's mother, Li Huishan, and the Yun sisters immediately changed their expressions.

Yunmu's face was ashen, and her eyes, sharp as knives, stared at the Wei mother and son, as if she wanted to tear them apart.

Yun Hao shrank behind Wei Shi, who, though somewhat frightened, still tried her best to defend herself, "Nonsense, how can you take a child's words seriously!"

Yunmu pointed at the servant who brought the news, "You were in this courtyard just now, so you tell me if it's true or not."

The servant trembled and knelt on the ground with a thud. If he spoke, he would definitely be sold off by Madam Wei. "I didn't, I didn't hear clearly."

"Yun Si," Lin Yinan called out towards the outside of the courtyard.

Then a dark figure appeared in the courtyard. Yun Si was only two years older than Yun Ming. He had a baby face, bright eyes, and a fan in his hand, which was his weapon.

Yun Si had been guarding the courtyard the whole time. No one expected that he would be able to describe what had just happened in the courtyard so vividly, and even imitated the tone and expression of Yun Hao and the others perfectly.

After a long silence, as soon as he finished speaking, the entire courtyard was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.

Wang's heart was pounding in her throat. She never expected that Yun Zhenchuan and Wei Shi, that spoiled brat, would say such things.

Lin Yinan was stunned. This was a hundred times more exciting than what Luo Xuwei had said!

After hearing this, Yunmu and Li Huishan, along with several other women, broke down in tears.

The immense pain of losing a loved one, which had been buried deep in their hearts and was almost healed, was brutally ripped open again, causing them unbearable pain.

The Yun family has served as generals for generations, guarding the border.

The second branch of the Yun family, however, enjoyed the glory and benefits brought to them by their ancestors while looking down on their crude and vulgar identity as military officers.

They really have a self-righteous attitude when they're being ungrateful!

Seeing his heartbroken mother and sister-in-law, Yunming was like a raging beast, his fists clenched tightly, wishing he could go up and beat them both to death.

It's all his fault for being so useless; he didn't take good care of his mother and sister-in-law!

"Yun Si, go and hitch up the carriage. Eldest sister, Yun Ming and Yun Ying, go and help Mother and sister-in-law pack up. We're leaving here right away."

Lin Yinan made arrangements methodically. Since the second branch of the Yun family had humiliated them so much, they might as well not stay at the Yun residence.

Yunying helped her mother to go back to the house to pack their things, but Wang Shi stopped her firmly.
