Chapter 240 Achieve Your Desire as Soon as Possible

Yunying felt a little annoyed. She used to be very comfortable in front of him, but she wasn't like this now. She didn't know when she started to change.

Looking down from the top of her head, Yun Er saw that her hands were already red from being scalded by the hot beans.

A series of low chuckles came from the other side, and the girls glanced in their direction every now and then.

Yun Ying's face turned so red it was almost bleeding. Yun Er reached out and hugged her waist, then leaped over the wall and disappeared from the sight of all the girls.

"So handsome!"

"Oh my god! I wish I had a husband like that."

"I'm so envious!"

Spending time with Lin Yinan gave the girls the courage to express themselves.

Lin Yinan smiled and said, "No need to be envious. Apart from Yun Er, all the other members of the Yun family's secret guards are still single. If you have someone in mind, then keep trying."

Thinking that all the guards were getting on in years, and there were only a few girls who had fled with them, it was a case of too many monks and too little porridge!

These problems have been solved for them. Before, when they went to the battlefield with the Yun family, they didn't even know if they would survive. Now that things have stabilized, they should start thinking about their personal matters.

She thought to herself that if things continued like this, the Southern Barbarian Prefecture would have no shortage of people.

Fifteen minutes later, Yun Er brought Yun Ying back.

Seeing Yunying's head almost buried in her chest, everyone chuckled knowingly.

They were almost done here, so Lin Yinan and Qianwu each carried two buckets of beans to the canteen.

"Anan, are we going to cook bean porridge for lunch?" Yunyan asked, looking at the four buckets of soaked beans on the ground.

Lin Yinan shook her head, "I want to try and see if I can make it into tofu."

"Tofu?" Zhang said she had never heard of it.

"You'll know once you make it."

Lin Yinan couldn't explain it clearly in a short time, so she told them to take the beans to the mill.

"Anan, should we just put these ground soybeans directly into the pot to cook?" Aunt Li asked, pointing to several buckets of ground soy milk.

"No, I'll tell you what to do and you'll follow my instructions."

Lin Yinan directed the group to start filtering the soy milk. Then she found some clean gauze, poured the cooked soy milk onto the gauze to filter out the residue. She didn't throw away the filtered soy residue; she planned to stir-fry it later.

The filtered soy milk was then poured into a large pot and boiled. She took bowls and poured a bowl of soy milk for everyone present, adding some sugar.

Aunt Li picked it up, blew on it, took a sip, and exclaimed, "It's delicious!"

She took two sips in a row, but then hesitated to drink it all, wanting to save it to take back to her youngest son.

“Aunt Li, this stuff can’t be left out, it’ll spoil and cause diarrhea,” Lin Yinan said.

The women then slowly sipped their drinks.

Lin Yinan mixed the gypsum and rice milk in the correct proportions and poured them into the boiling soy milk. Then, she poured the mixture into several large wooden buckets to let it settle and solidify. After letting it sit for a while, she lined a deep bamboo basket with gauze and scooped the tofu and water into a tofu box, covered it with a bamboo tray, and finally placed a wooden bucket filled with water on top to filter the water.

About fifteen minutes later, Aunt Li carefully opened it.

Looking at the white and tender tofu inside, Aunt Li exclaimed excitedly, "It's done!"

"This is tofu!" everyone exclaimed.

Next, Lin Yinan explained to everyone how to make tofu along with the soybean residue.

That noon, a cold tofu dish was added to the canteen's menu.

This tofu is tender and appetizing, and everyone loves it. They all agree that it's even tastier than meat.

After dinner, Lin Yinan coaxed Yun Shijiu to sleep.

As time went on, Yun Shijiu was awake for longer periods during the day. After a busy morning, Lin Yinan was extremely sleepy, but Yun Shijiu was still playing around by spitting bubbles.

Yun Mo came in with a letter. "A Nan, Yun Si and the others have sent a letter."

A letter from Yun Zhenchuan also arrived.

Yun Mo opened Yun Zhenchuan's letter, which was full of grand principles and questioned the brothers' abilities. He openly and subtly criticized them for being less capable than a woman, saying that it was unbecoming of the Yun family to let a woman make such a big decision.

After reading the letter, Yun Mo tossed it aside noncommittally, treating it as if it were nonsense.

"What did Yun Si and the others say?" Yun Mo leaned closer and peered at the letter in his wife's hand.

Lin Yinan quickly finished reading the letter and handed it to him. "Yun Si said they discovered something unusual about the Yu family. Yu Xunmei actually sent people to buy Wushi Powder in secret."

As for the uses of Wushi San, Lin Yinan knew it all too well.

"She actually used it on her own brother? Have the Yu family gone mad?" Yun Mo asked with some doubt after reading it.

Have the Yu family members all gone to this extreme?

As for why Yu Xunmei would do this, Lin Yinan couldn't think of any other reason besides power and interests.

As the only legitimate daughter of the Yu family's main branch, she will most likely marry into a powerful family to bring benefits to the Yu family. Therefore, all Yu Xunmei needs to fight for is power.

Thinking of the auxiliary medicines still in the space, Lin Yinan sneered and said, "It seems the Yu family is quite lively. Why don't we add some more firewood and let them burn even brighter?"

Seeing his expression, Yun Mo suddenly shivered. "What are you trying to do? Try to take advantage of the situation?"

"Give her a push, and let Yu Xunmei achieve her wish as soon as possible." Lin Yinan looked up and smiled, their eyes meeting, her gaze surprisingly bright.

Yun Mo rubbed his hands together, and said in a cheeky tone, "A'Nan, tell me quickly, what do we do?"

Lin Yinan looked down at Yun Shijiu, who was fast asleep in his arms, gestured for her to be quiet, gently placed her on the bed, and lowered the bed curtains.

The two sat at the table, and Lin Yinan picked up a pen to reply to Yun Si, along with several small packets of medicine powder.

After Lin Yinan finished writing, Yun Mo took another piece of paper and carefully gave Yun Si and Yun Liu some instructions.
