He grabbed Yun Mo and almost tore off his sleeve.
Yun Mo slapped his hand away, gritting his teeth, and said, "Yun Er, you'd better be in trouble."
"Master, look! That young lady's fiancé is having a secret rendezvous with someone!" Yun Er excitedly gestured to Yun Mo to look towards the woods.
"Don't meddle."
He didn't know how Yun Er's personality had become so distorted over time.
Su Yunzhi emerged from the woods carrying a bundle of firewood. Upon seeing the two, she paused for a moment, then nodded and walked away.
Then, Lin Qiutao, her face flushed, chased after him, carrying half a basket of wild vegetables. When she saw Yun Mo's face, she was so frightened that she quickly lowered her head.
Yun Er clicked his tongue twice, "Little girl, do you even know what you look like right now?"
Lin Qiutao covered half her face shyly, thinking he would praise her looks, but this man's words were utterly unpleasant, making her so angry she almost ascended to heaven on the spot.
Yun Er's smile was malicious, like a mocking knife, "like a cat in heat."
Lin Qiutao's face instantly darkened, and she flung her sleeves and fled in panic.
Back at the stream not far from the campsite, Zhu Jinhui and her daughter were washing wild vegetables. Lin Qiutao's eyes lit up, and she walked over with demure little steps.
"Auntie, you're here too. Let me help you."
Having traveled for days, Lin Qiutao hadn't had time to tidy herself up, and was now covered in dust and dirt.
Zhu Jinhui looked puzzled; she really didn't recognize her.
"Who are you?"
“Auntie, my brother Lin Zhaohui and Young Master Su are classmates, and I am his sister Lin Qiutao.”
Lin Qiutao spoke softly, forcing a smile that she thought looked good on her face.
