After drinking a bowl of ginger soup, Lin Yinan felt warm all over. She hadn't slept much last night and had used up a lot of energy this morning. Her eyelids drooped, and she felt sleepy.
Li Shulan saw that she was dozing off even while sitting, she must be really exhausted.
Her eyes were full of pity. She dried her hair, combed it, and tied it into two braids at the back of her head. Then she pulled her to the empty seat next to the child.
"You go to sleep for a while, and Mom will wake you up when the food is ready."
Lin Yinan lay in the warm quilt, tilted her head, and fell asleep.
Lin Yinan was awakened by bursts of crying after an unknown amount of time.
She sat up blankly, but her four children were no longer there, and even Li Shulan was gone.
Following the sound of crying, they saw Yun Mo's mother and daughter-in-law weeping.
It's probably something bad that happened to the second son of the Yun family.
Li Shulan brought in a bowl of fish soup and saw her sitting there blankly after waking up.
"You must be starving. Drink this bowl of fish soup. You slept for a full two hours."
Lin Yinan took the bowl and drank it in big gulps. The fish soup was milky white, the fish meat was tender and smooth, and there were wild vegetables on top that she couldn't name.
“Anan, of the fish we caught, your grandmother gave one to Lin Tiezhu’s wife and half to Liu Ji and his sister.”
"Take it, we can finish this much ourselves."
She felt it was worth it to strengthen the bond between the two families over a fish or two.
The crying from the Yun family's side grew louder and louder. Lin Yinan frowned and asked, "Mother, what happened to the Yun family?"
Li Shulan threw a few pieces of firewood into the fire and sighed, "I'm afraid the second son of the Yun family is not well. He is burning up and unconscious, and he keeps convulsing. While you were sleeping, the third son of the Yun family even brought us a roe deer."
After finishing the fish soup, Lin Yinan put down the bowl, stood up, and said, "I'll go take a look."
