Chapter 365 Where Master Liu Stays

Since the two children had just woken up, Lin Yinan had kept them indoors to rest for the past two days, preventing them from running around.

Two days later, the children couldn't stay indoors any longer, so Lin Yinan had to take them out to play in the nearby woods.

The Chika sisters followed behind, carrying baskets, and picked some wild vegetables to bring back.

The group arrived at a forest not far from the mountain village.

Many children from the mountain village had gathered in the woods, chattering and arguing about something.

As you enter the woods, you'll find the wild grasses neatly cut and the low branches under the trees trimmed cleanly.

Behind the children were bundles of firewood and tender wild grass. Lin Yinan did not walk up to them, but stopped under the largest tree.

“There are several bird nests up there. Wait for me here, and I’ll go up and get you some bird eggs.”

Lin Yinan carried Yun Shijiu on her back, took a deep breath and leaped up the tree. Using the cut branches as leverage, she quickly reached the treetop.

Yun Shijiu behind him was shouting excitedly.

After observing Yun Shijiu for the past few days, Lin Yinan discovered that Yun Shijiu could still make sounds, but the pronunciation was not as good as before. She also had no strength in her legs and could not stand steadily even when holding onto something.

After examining him, Guo Xun suggested that he supplement his diet with more nutrients and see if that helped.

Yun Jun stood under the tree, looking up at Lin Yinan who was hidden by the branches, and kept shouting, "Third Aunt, are there any little birds up there?"

Chika and her sister were digging up newly sprouted wild vegetables around the area with hoes.

It had rained a few days ago, and the wild vegetables in the woods were growing tenderly and abundantly. The two of them gradually walked quite far away.

The children who heard the shouts ran over and saw a child they didn't recognize under the tree.

Who are you? What are you doing here?

Surrounded by so many people all of a sudden, Yun Jun took a few steps back in fear.

"Speak up! Are you mute?"

“He’s not mute!” Yun Jun said angrily.

The boy in the lead looked to be about seven or eight years old. He stared fiercely at Yun Junding, and his clothes were better than theirs.

"Who brought you here?" the boy asked.

Yun Jun pointed to the tree, "My third aunt."

The children all looked up, but the thick branches completely obscured Lin Yinan, and they couldn't see anything.

"There's nothing on the tree, you liar!"

"Yeah, who could climb such a tall tree?"

"Look at him, lying at such a young age! What a liar!"

"You liar!"

"..."

The children surrounded Yun Junding, all pointing fingers and criticizing him.

"I'm not lying!" Yun Jun clenched his little fists tightly.

The boy in the lead stepped forward. "What? You liar, do you want to hit someone?"

The crowd behind him burst into laughter.

Yun Junding was young and couldn't argue with them as well, so he took a step back while arguing with them.

But the boy wasn't going to let him off the hook. He stepped forward and said, "Liars don't deserve to wear such nice clothes."

As he spoke, he reached out to pull at Yun Junding's clothes. His five-year-old brother was the same age as the boy in front of him, and he could take the clothes back to his brother to wear.

With a tearing sound, Yun Junding's clothes were ripped open, and the scene before he was kidnapped came flooding back. That day, he was about to go out to play with his sister when a masked man in black grabbed him like this.

Yun Junding was so frightened that his face turned pale and he froze on the spot.

Two children, around five or six years old, suddenly stepped forward and blocked Yun Jun's path, saying, "You can't take off his clothes! That's wrong."

The boy, in a fit of rage, was about to pull away the two people blocking his way when he suddenly felt a gust of wind and was thrown out.

Before anyone knew what was happening, a woman carrying a child on her back descended from the sky.

"Third Aunt, the clothes are all torn!" Yun Junding cried out as soon as he saw Lin Yinan come down.

The children were all stunned with fear. It turned out the boy was right; there really were people up there.

At this moment, they were all intimidated by Lin Yinan's fierce aura, and no one dared to speak.

The two men who had been blocking Yun Junding's way took out several wild fruits, each about the size of a fingernail, from their pockets and stuffed them into Yun Junding's hands.

"Don't cry, here you go, this fruit is sweet and sour and delicious."

Yun Jun stopped crying. He pointed at the boy who had fallen earlier but was now standing up and said, "Bad guy! Beat the bad guy!"

The boy had seen Lin Yinan before, but at this moment he had forgotten his fear, and covered in mud, he pointed at her and cursed her.

"You wicked, vile woman, God will strike you dead sooner or later!"

Lin Yinan never expected that such vicious words would come from the mouth of a seven or eight-year-old child.

"Who taught you that?"

"Hmph! That's how my mother always scolds you. Otherwise, my parents wouldn't be forced to work in the fields every day."

"That's right, you bitch!"

Several more children in the crowd chimed in.

Yun Shijiu, feeling their malice, buried her head in Lin Yinan's back in fear.

Lin Yinan smiled and asked the two children who were giving out fruit, "Do you know their names?"

The two children looked at her with their bright, clear eyes, nodded, and whispered the names of several people.

"As a reward, this is for you."

Lin Yinan pulled off a bag from his waist, which contained dozens of bird eggs larger than his thumb.

The older man took the bag, clutched it tightly to his chest, the two exchanged a glance, and then ran away.

When the two children saw them run away, they ran after them.
