Those two were no pushovers either. A cold glint flashed from the darkness, and they immediately drew their swords to defend themselves.
In an instant, sparks flew as the metal collided.
Two hidden guards rolled out from under the bed, drew their swords, and leaped into the dark room.
Soon, the sounds of swords clashing and fighting could be heard below, and the two men were engaged in combat.
Qianwu, who was less skilled, climbed down from the roof beam and quietly crept outside to meet Chen Gu and the others.
This desperate man was highly skilled. Lin Yinan seized the opportunity and slashed at him, the longsword in her hand flashing with light as fast as lightning.
The villain had nowhere to avoid it; the sword struck his arm, and blood gushed out immediately.
"You bitch, how dare you hurt me!"
He had underestimated his opponent as soon as they started fighting, thinking he would capture her alive. Now he dared not be careless again.
Within moments, he lost his composure and fought Lin Yinan for more than a dozen rounds before finally showing signs of defeat.
The tables and chairs inside the room had long been reduced to pieces and scattered all over the floor.
Lin Yinan seized the opportunity. Taking advantage of the darkness in the room, she pretended to turn around, then flipped her wrist and the dagger flew out of her hand, piercing the villain's thigh.
The villain screamed and staggered back a few steps. Just as he was about to fall backward, his eyes fell on a closed window, and he limped toward it.
Lin Yinan's lips curled into a bloodthirsty smirk. Trying to escape? Not so easy.
She lightly leaped into the air, her toes barely touching the ground, and swung her long sword at the leg the villain was dragging, the blade sharp, fast, and ruthless.
Severely injured, the assailant collapsed to the ground, letting out a piercing scream as he rolled around on the ground to alleviate the intense pain.
Lin Yinan stepped forward, removed the weapon that had fallen to the ground, and severed the tendons in his two hands and the other leg.
He frowned, squatted down, and then dislocated his jaw.
She glanced at the person fighting with Yun Shiyi, who was in an even worse state than her, covered in blood, yet still standing.
Lin Yinan walked down the stairs leading to the dark room.
The passage was lit by torches, so it wasn't dark. After walking a few steps, there was a person lying on the ground, not a guard.
He must have been an accomplice of the two men above. He hadn't even had time to leave the dark room before he got into a fight with the guards. Blood was gushing from his body, and he looked like he was barely breathing.
Lin Yinan ignored him and continued walking through the passage, hearing the sounds of swords clashing inside.
The children who were crying and shouting just moments before have all quieted down, with only low sobs remaining.
The passageway is a gently sloping path. As you reach the end, the light gradually brightens, shining through a room at the far end.
The air began to feel suffocating, the heavy stench of blood mixed with a musty smell, and the sounds of fighting became clearer.
Lin Yinan arrived at the door of the dark room. This basement was not large, but it was divided into three cells, each with a gate made of a wooden stick as thick as a wrist.
Two bodyguards were engaged in a fierce battle with the three people inside.
Footsteps sounded behind him. He turned around and saw Yun Shiyi following behind.
He glanced at the scene inside the room and said, "Madam, I'll go help. You go and save the children."
After saying that, he rushed forward.
"Sister Anan, did you come to save us?"
The titmouse perched on the bars of one of the cells and saw Lin Yinan standing in the doorway.
Lin Yinan stepped inside, only to find that each cell was filled with children, big and small, some sitting or lying down, some even motionless, their fate unknown.
The titmouse's face was dirty, and her cheeks were swollen and red, but her eyes sparkled when she saw her.
"Mountain Sparrow, is Stone Soil with you?" Lin Yinan asked.
“He was beaten next door and hasn’t woken up yet,” Sparrow said, sobbing.
When she cried, the other children in the cell also started to wail.
The cell door was locked with an iron chain. Lin Yinan glanced at the keyhole, took out the universal key from his sleeve, inserted it into the keyhole, and turned it a few times. The lock opened.
Yun Shiyi had not yet subdued the villain; the scene was dangerous, with flashing knives and shadows.
Lin Yinan instructed, "Mountain Sparrow, you and the others stay here and don't go out. The magistrate will be here soon with his men. We'll go out after they've dealt with the villains outside."
The titmouse nodded and forcefully wiped away its tears.
"I'll listen to Sister Anan."
Lin Yinan opened the doors to the other two cells and saw Shi Tu lying unconscious in the corner of the cell that the sparrow had pointed to.
As she entered, the flustered children made way for her.
"Madam, all the human traffickers outside have been apprehended."
Yun Shiyi entered the cell and reported the situation outside to her.
"Take a look at him and see how he is?" She had just glanced at him but couldn't see where he was injured.
Yun Shiyi stepped forward, squatted down, checked Shi Tu's breath, and examined several places on his body.
"It's nothing serious, it's probably due to taking too much sedative."
Just then, the guards outside came and stopped the two of them.
"Madam, Eleventh Brother, please come over here and take a look."
Seeing his solemn expression, Lin Yinan left the cell with Yun Shiyi and followed him to another hidden, low-ceilinged hut in the dungeon.
As soon as she got close, Lin Yinan smelled a strong stench of blood mixed with a faint odor of corpses.
The bodyguard covered his nose and was about to step forward when Lin Yinan handed him a mask and gloves.
"Put it on."
Wearing masks and gloves, the guards bent down and dragged the corpse out.
There were three children's bodies in total, two boys and one girl, covered with large and small wounds, and they were not wearing any clothes.
