Chapter 89 A Clever and Intelligent Person



"Wolves!"

"Wolf is coming!"

The soldiers, exhausted and sleepy from walking, panicked instantly.

Udahan lashed his whip across a soldier, his sharp gaze sweeping over the crowd.

"What's the panic? A few wolves have scared you like this!"

The soldiers were silenced by the reprimands. They knew wolves were fierce, but Udahan was even fiercer than a wolf.

The group continued forward cautiously until night fell and all was quiet. They felt a strange chill creeping up from the soles of their feet.

A soldier glanced around casually and was so frightened that he opened his mouth wide and couldn't make a sound for a long time.

The surrounding mountains and forests were suddenly filled with a pack of wolves whose eyes gleamed green.

"Quickly, light the torches!"

The soldiers drew their swords and lit their torches. The wolf, afraid of the firelight, quickly turned and left.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief, and Udahan ordered them to rest on the spot.

Before long, the soldiers who went to gather firewood found, under the cover of a thin layer of snow, scraps of cloth belonging to their totem and some human bones. The soldiers were so frightened that they scrambled back to report.

Upon hearing the soldier's report, Udahan's face darkened, his hand unconsciously clenching the tattered clothing, and he gritted his teeth, saying, "Dig! Dig this entire area three feet deep!"

Looking at the human bones scattered on the ground, Udahan stood in front of a tall skeleton with a piece of its skull missing, his eyes red with rage.

This is the body of his younger brother, Udati, because beneath the body is a small wooden sword, which their father carved for them himself.

Before he could even grieve, he discovered that the wolf king had gathered hundreds of wolves and quietly surrounded them.
