Chapter 91 A Heart Full of Worries

Lin Yinan had no way to avoid it, so she turned to the side and swung her sword to block, trying her best to avoid letting him touch her stomach.

In the blink of an eye, Yun Mo leaped out from behind her and kicked Wudahan in the chest.

Yun Mo turned to look at Lin Yinan, his eyes filled with worry.

Udahan was thrown away by the powerful inertia, fell to the ground and spat out a mouthful of blood. He clutched his chest and looked up at the person who had come.

"It's you!! You're still alive?"

The two clashed several times on the battlefield, and Udahan recognized Yunmo at a glance.

Seeing that he recognized him, Yun Mo stepped forward with his sword drawn, saying, "How could I bear to die if I couldn't kill you!"

Udahan burst into laughter upon hearing this.

"It's a pity your elder brother died at my hands."

Upon hearing him mention his elder brother, Yun Mo drew his sword and slashed at him. Wu Dahan reacted quickly, and the two instantly engaged in a fierce and evenly matched battle.

Lin Yinan stared intently at Wudahan, wary of his trickery.

1. After fleeing through the night and exchanging dozens of blows with Lin Yinan, even Udahan's excellent stamina was almost exhausted.

Sure enough, he feinted at Yun Mo and then turned to run away.

Before Lin Yinan could react, Yun Mo poured all his inner strength into the sword, then flung it out, the sword protruding from Wudahan's chest.

Blood gushed from Udahan's mouth, and he collapsed to the ground, the icy chill flowing through his wounds to his limbs and bones. He trembled involuntarily, his eyes widening involuntarily.

He saw his younger brother slowly walking towards him. "Elder brother, Mother has cooked the meal and sent me to fetch you."

I can't remember how long it's been since I last ate a meal cooked by my mother.

He misses his mother!

Snowflakes fluttered down from the sky.

Yun Mo stepped forward to confirm that Wudahan was no longer breathing, drew his sword, and turned to walk towards Lin Yinan.

Are you alright?

As Lin Yinan looked at the handsome man in front of her, a sudden sharp pain shot through her lower abdomen. Before she could reach out to touch it, everything went black, and she was plunged into darkness.

Seeing her suddenly collapse, Yun Mo quickly reached out to support her and then picked her up in his arms.

As if she had slept for a century, Lin Yinan opened her eyes to see flickering flames and a constant source of warmth beside her. She turned her head and saw a bonfire burning brightly. Looking around, she realized she was in a cave.

Remembering the sharp pain in her lower abdomen before she fell into darkness, she raised her hand to touch her stomach and secretly pressed it hard. The pain was gone, and she checked her body to make sure there was nothing wrong.

Strange, what's wrong with her?

He withdrew his hand, revealing a cloak covering his body—it belonged to Yun Mo.

Lin Yinan struggled to sit up, looked around, but did not see Yun Mo.

Has he left?

Just then, Yun Mo came in carrying a cleaned pheasant.

"You're awake."

Lin Yinan nodded slightly, watching him skillfully rub salt on the chicken, then skewer it with a stick and roast it by the fire.

After finishing his work, Yun Mo looked up and saw that her face was pale. He didn't say anything, but continued, "How dare you go to Wudahan alone? Wudahan is the number one general of the Hu people. If you hadn't exhausted so much of his strength, I might not have been able to defeat him."

After hearing what he said, Lin Yinan realized that she had indeed been reckless.

"Since you say he's the fiercest general among the Hu people, if he escapes, can we still live safely in the mountain stronghold?"

Yun Mo remained silent. If she hadn't held him back, Wu Dahan might have really run away.

Seeing that he didn't speak, Lin Yinan asked, "Where is this?"

"The valley where we hunted last time."

Lin Yinan folded up the cloak and handed it to him. Judging from his appearance, he planned to spend the night here.

Aren't we going back?

Yun Mo took the cloak, which was already imbued with her sweet scent. He gasped for breath, and his hands under the cloak clenched involuntarily.

"It's snowing outside. It's easy to get lost in the forest in snowy weather. Let's wait until dawn to see how things are."

"What happened to me just now?" Lin Yinan asked tentatively, her eyes fixed on the expression on his face.

She remembered that her original master had said that many martial arts practitioners could take pulses, but she wasn't sure if he could.

What if he discovers your secret...

Miss Lin is really bold. Yun Mo felt a little embarrassed by her stare, and the tips of his ears turned visibly red.

He didn't dare to meet her gaze, and lowered his eyes to say, "It's nothing, I probably just used up too much energy and didn't replenish it in time."

The subtext is, girl, you fainted from hunger.

Lin Yinan was immediately relieved; it turned out to be a fainting spell caused by low blood sugar.

She was somewhat agitated. Childbirth was a life-or-death situation for a woman. Medical conditions were poor in ancient times, and she knew nothing about her own body. It seemed she would have to go back and find some medical books to read.

Suddenly, a roasted chicken, golden brown and fragrant, was placed in front of her. Yun Mo assumed she was worried about having nothing to eat.

"Don't worry, you'll feel better after eating something."

Lin Yinan tore off a chicken leg and ate it. After she finished, Yun Mo handed her another piece.

"I'm full, thank you."

"Eating so little?" Yun Mo questioned, remembering that she had a big appetite when they were traveling.

Lin Yinan curled the corners of her mouth and said, "That's enough."

She doesn't dare to eat too much meat, because it makes her feel nauseous and people will notice something is wrong.

Yun Mo had no choice but to eat the rest of the pheasant himself. After finishing, he went out of the cave and wiped his hands clean with snow.

The thought of meat immediately made her wonder if Udahan's corpse would attract wild beasts.

"The body of Udahan?"

Yun Mo gave her a reassuring look. "I've already covered it with snow, and cleaned up the surrounding traces."

"You said Udahan was a great general of the Hu people. If he disappeared, would his men come looking for him?"
