Chapter 1 Transmigrated as a Fat, Shrewish Woman

Wangjia Village is nestled against the mountains and beside the water, and it is named after a scholar surnamed Wang who once passed the imperial examination.

As the year draws to a close, the morning air still carries a fine mist of snow. The thatched hut at the foot of West Mountain is bustling with activity.

"Your new bride isn't up yet? Oh dear, she can really sleep in. The sun's already high in the sky." Li Fengxian gloated and stirred up trouble, banging on the tightly closed wooden door. "Get up, get up! Now that she's in the house, she should be properly disciplined and taught some rules. Otherwise, what kind of person will she become?"

Wang Lan, her head wrapped in a brown cloth and her temples graying, limped out of the kitchen and took out a string of meat, which she had saved from her grandson's wedding yesterday. She smiled ingratiatingly, "Sister-in-law, take this meat back for Fu Bao to eat."

Wang Lan married into the Lu family, which were outsiders. Now that her husband and son had died and her eldest grandson had just gotten married, she still needed to maintain a good relationship with her family so that the Lu family wouldn't be bullied or ostracized.

Fu Bao is Li Fengxian's grandson, four and a half years old this year. Li Fengxian is Wang Lan's sister-in-law, three years older than Wang Lan. She is fifty-seven years old this year, but she has few gray hairs and is full of energy. She was all smiles after receiving the favor, but she still knocked on the door and called inside: "Hey, Feng's wife, get up quickly. How can a new daughter-in-law like you sleep in while the mother-in-law does the work?"

"Stop knocking! Are you trying to kill me this early in the morning?!" Qin Xiaozhou yelled at the door. He pinched the fat on his body and felt like he could die again. This body of fat must weigh at least 250 pounds.

She transmigrated, but it was only after she finally finished paying off her mortgage and took a relaxing nap that she woke up to find herself in this body. The original owner was the daughter of a butcher in Liuhe Town in the west. She was fat and strong, a notorious shrew in the surrounding area, and there were rumors that she was infertile. No one dared to marry her when she turned eighteen, so the government forced her to marry a twenty-year-old man from a mountain village. They had just gotten married yesterday.

The man's name was Lu Yunfeng, and she knew nothing else about him.

The mud house had a straw bed by the window, another bed against the wall, and two cabinets next to the beds, all of which exuded poverty.

Qin Xiaozhou opened the door. Li Fengxian almost fell in, then, holding onto the doorframe, said haughtily, "Oh dear, you can't bring your old temper into this new family. You have to be diligent, respectful, and filial to your elders. Look at your grandmother, she's already up, and you're still sleeping. What kind of behavior is that!"

"From now on, you'll be doing all the housework, washing clothes, cooking, and taking care of your mother-in-law, grandmother, and your husband's younger sister and brother-in-law. So many mouths are waiting to be fed, how can you be so fat..."

"Get lost!" Qin Xiaozhou was already annoyed. The original owner of this body was fierce and strong with a face full of scars, and at this moment he looked like a demon.

Li Fengxian jumped up and ran into the yard after seeing Qin Xiaozhou's size. Qin Xiaozhou was famous in the town. It was said that he slaughtered pigs all year round and could carry a half-grown dead pig by himself. He was extremely strong and his pig-slaughtering knife was comparable to a god of death. She originally wanted to use her status as an elder to suppress him, but she did not expect to offend this god of death.

Bang--

The wooden door was narrow, and Qin Xiaozhou got stuck on the door frame. She couldn't even turn to the side, so she grabbed the door frame and pushed her way out aggressively, calling out to the stunned people in the yard, "Pull me out quickly, this door is too small!"

Qin Xiaozhou's eyes were squeezed into slits by the flesh on his round face, and the flesh on both sides of his face was almost piled up to his shoulders, as if his head had grown directly out of his body and his neck could not be seen. Now he was stuck in the door, his face was red and his appearance was ferocious.

Wang Lan, startled, tried to pull her newly arrived granddaughter-in-law away, but was too weak and almost fell over. Qin Xiaozhou sighed, "Make way, make way—"

She grabbed the door frame and pulled hard, dust flew up, and the entire door frame was pried off. The door fell off with just a light pry, making her seem so violent!

"What are you doing?" Lu Yunfeng shouted!

Early in the morning, he took the leftover pound of meat from yesterday, loaded it onto an oxcart, and went to return it to the village chief. When he returned, he saw Li Fengxian hiding at the gate of the courtyard, trembling with fear and almost wetting herself. Wang Lan looked ashen-faced, while Qin Xiaozhou was framed by a door frame, looking like he was about to beat someone up!

Li Fengxian dared not watch the commotion any longer. She grabbed the meat and ran, shouting as she went, "The Lu family is fighting! The Lu family is fighting!"

Qin Xiaozhou rolled her eyes when she heard this. She wasn't sick, why would she fight for no reason! She threw the door frame into the corner of the fence, patted the dirt off her body, and spat out the ash in her mouth. "What can I do? Go out."

I even took the door frame off before leaving!

Looking around, Qin Xiaozhou sighed again at the Lu family's poverty. They lived at the foot of a barren mountain, in two small mud houses and a kitchen built of bamboo! The yard was surrounded by a fence, and the house was bare; even rats would starve to death!

Soon, a crowd gathered outside the fence!

Thirty-eight years ago, Lu Ji came to Wangjia Village alone at the age of fifteen. He was thin and small and a beggar. No one in the village looked down on him. Wang Lan was kind-hearted and gave him a bowl of porridge. Later, he married Wang Lan. In just a few years, they had children and a house. Their lives got better day by day. Who in Wangjia Village didn't envy him? Now that he had become a poor man, they naturally had to gossip and point fingers.

"I heard that she was too fat to have children and was rejected by her fiancé, which delayed her marriage. She could only be married through the government! The Lu family is really unlucky to have married such a woman."

"She really is the butcher's daughter. Can you smell it? She reeks of meat. My family hasn't eaten meat in a long time. The smell makes me want to vomit."

"Hehe, wouldn't it be like hugging a pig for that Lu family boy to sleep with such a fat woman in his arms?"

Several married men grinned lewdly. "I heard that the new bride went to bed yesterday after entering the house, so we probably haven't consummated our marriage yet."

"You can't get hard in front of a pig like that, can you?"

“I’ve seen it in town. He chops pork in the shop every day, his face and body splattered with meat scraps and blood. The fat on his body is fatter than the pork on the chopping board.”

"Look at that wrist, one slap could kill Aunt Lu."
