Chapter 264: Another Long Journey



Sui Sui's mouth was pinched shut, and his voice was muffled. "Mom, what is a genetic mutation?"

"Mom is tired, don't talk to me."

"We just got in the car, are you tired already? Do you want to go inside and rest?"

Jiang Yue leaned on Jiang Nian, closed her eyes and mouth, not wanting to say a word.

Sui Sui looked for a while, but her mother didn't open her eyes.

Jiang Yue couldn't help but burst out laughing.

Jiang Yue held him in her arms and sat in the carriage, pulling open the curtains. The morning breeze blew in, drying the sweat.

She told the child the story of the difficulties his parents had faced when they were fleeing. He nodded his head as if listening to a storyteller, and fell asleep while listening.

Jiang Yue pulled out the long board from underneath, laid her son flat on his back, then put on a straw hat and drove the carriage with Jiang Nian.

She looked toward the roadside, gazed into the distance, and couldn't help but sigh, "Life is still much better in Yindu and Qingshui City."
