Chapter 5 New Barbecue Products

"Tonight, our barbecue is going big, so be careful not to crowd out your business!" Aunt Guan had already started promoting it to the surrounding area, occasionally stomping her feet to show off her new shoes, she couldn't be happier.

When the surrounding vendors weren't busy, they would often joke with each other and respond with a smile, "Okay! When you open for business tonight, we'll come and support you and try your big move."

"Okay, everyone is welcome! We'll definitely offer discounts!" After promoting the new products, Aunt Guan helped Lan Yamei set up her stall.

"Aunt Guan, this is our first day selling new products. What if people don't like them? That would be so embarrassing." Lan Yamei wasn't really confident about selling barbecue; she was just following the example of others who had seen it all before.

"What's there to be afraid of! This is a family heirloom craft, how could it be bad?!" Aunt Guan said with great confidence.

Grandpa Ouyang refused, saying, "Didn't you say that Lan Ya is making a new product tonight? Get me a couple of skewers later, so this old man can have a couple of drinks to warm up."

"Okay, Uncle Ouyang, we'll grill some more for you after you finish eating. Please feel free to give us your feedback, and we'll keep up the good work." Lan Yamei was grateful to Uncle Ouyang for giving her a chance to eat.

Just as the two finished their wontons and put down their bowls, a swaying figure walked out of the darkness and headed straight for the barbecue stall.

Before Lan Ya Mei could see who it was, Aunt Guan came over, pointed at the tall figure in the blue mist, and muttered, "That guy is here again."

Following the direction of the finger, a handsome young scholar with a light and airy gait was walking towards them.

“He always eats for free and has never paid a single penny. You’re not allowed to talk to him today, or I won’t talk to you either.” After saying that, Aunt Guan got up and went to return the bowls and chopsticks to Uncle Ouyang.
