Chapter 108 Raising a Furry Child in the Cloud

Upon realizing this, Shi Tou's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. He first let out a gasp, then stammered to Min Yueqing, "Master...Master, this is a tiger! Why are you holding a tiger?"

Min Yueqing was both amused and exasperated; she had just calmed one down when another one appeared.

Fortunately, Pei Ji was there. He and the little tiger stayed together peacefully for a while, and he gradually accepted that his mother wanted to raise a little tiger.

Upon hearing Shi Tou's question, Pei Ji immediately answered for Min Yueqing, "This is a tiger cub, it won't be in danger. It can't find its mother, so we're going to raise it now."

Upon hearing this seemingly reasonable argument, Shi Tou nearly swore on the spot. He swore that if it hadn't been Pei Ji who said it, he would have already unleashed a string of profanities.

But since it was Pei Ji who said those words, Shi Tou just carefully observed Pei Ji's expression for a while, as if trying to figure out if Pei Ji was joking.

Disappointingly, Pei Ji's expression was very serious, showing no sign of joking. Even more alarming was Min Yueqing's equally calm expression, as if Pei Ji were talking about a perfectly normal, insignificant matter.

Faced with two people who acted as if it were perfectly natural, Stone couldn't help but start to doubt himself.

Stone even wondered if he had remembered it wrong. Did the old people in the village really say that tigers were very dangerous wild beasts?

Regardless of how intense Shi Tou's inner thoughts were, Min Yueqing took his silence as a sign of agreement and gracefully carried the two adorable children onto the carriage.

As soon as they entered the carriage, Min Yueqing said to Amei, "Bring a dry cloth and some rice to cook some rice porridge."

Min Yueqing led Pei Ji to sit down on the couch, dried the little tiger's body with a cloth, and then placed it between herself and Pei Ji.

After Ah Mei finished getting the dry cloth, she noticed the little guy and immediately gathered around with Ah Zhu.

After Min Yueqing finished speaking, the same scene was about to repeat itself. Having learned from her previous experience, she wisely remained silent and instead entrusted the important task of explaining to Pei Ji.

As expected, Pei Ji answered Amei and the other person with the same reason in a serious manner.

Unfortunately, Amei and Azhu weren't as easily fooled as Shi Tou. As soon as Pei Ji finished speaking, Amei and Azhu looked at Min Yueqing at the same time, "Miss, tigers can eat people. What if they grow up and turn around to attack us?"

Seeing that she couldn't avoid it, Min Yueqing could only pretend to be calm and replied, "It's okay, I'll keep a close eye on it. If there's any real danger, we'll release it back into the mountains immediately."

In Pei Ji's heart, her mother was always omnipotent, and she could do whatever she said. So Pei Ji nodded with certainty after hearing this.

Amei and Azhu couldn't help but look at each other in bewilderment.

A-Zhu was not giving up and wanted to persuade her again, "Miss, tigers grow to be so big and fierce when they grow up. Even if we want to release it back into the mountains, it may not listen."

Helpless, Min Yueqing had no choice but to promise again, "As long as it shows any ill intent towards our people, no matter if it has grown up or not, I will immediately send it back to the mountains, okay? Alright, it has only been open its eyes for a short time and is very hungry now, go and cook some rice porridge."

Seeing that her mistress had already said so, Azhu naturally couldn't disagree anymore and could only obey. As she walked out, she couldn't help but look back frequently, her face clearly showing her unease.

Like Pei Ji, Amei had complete faith in Min Yueqing, and after hearing her assurance, she felt relieved. Seeing that Azhu still seemed to want to talk, Amei quickly pulled her out of the carriage.

Min Yueqing silently breathed a sigh of relief. In fact, she was quite confident in protecting the people around her.

After awakening her martial arts abilities, she wasn't afraid of dealing with large groups of zombies, let alone a tiger. If she encountered a pack of tigers, she would have no choice but to run, but when facing a single tiger, it was definitely the tiger that should be afraid.

Unfortunately, she couldn't tell the truth to others, so she could only deal with it this way.

Min Yueqing took a small teacup from the small tea table, pretending to pour tea, and subtly transferred a bag of nutrient solution from her spatial storage into the bowl.

She hadn't drunk this since she transmigrated. Although the nutrient solution was rich in various nutrients, the taste was truly indescribable. Given the choice, she would always opt for regular meals.

I never expected it would come in handy now.

The best food for newborn tiger cubs is actually their mother's milk, but Min Yueqing really can't provide that, so for now the cubs have to make do with nutritional supplements and rice porridge.

Once they arrive at Pei Han's post, they can see if they can find cows or goats to provide some milk for the tiger cub.

Min Yueqing placed the teacup in front of the little tiger and deliberately pushed it towards its mouth, but the little tiger did not understand what she meant and just continued to look at her with its pitiful big eyes.

Seeing that it couldn't eat on its own, Min Yueqing picked it up again and put it on her lap, holding the tea bowl in her hand to reach for its mouth.

When the tiger cub's mouth touched the nutrient solution, it seemed to suddenly realize that it was edible. It finally stuck out its tongue, licked it, and then slurped it down.

Pei Ji watched the whole thing and couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. He said to Min Yueqing, "Mother, so even tiger cubs don't eat or drink when they're first born, just like us!"

This was clearly a misconception that Pei Ji had inadvertently fallen into; he had mistaken the tiger cub for a baby.

Min Yueqing realized that the little cub had misunderstood, so she explained, "Newborn tiger cubs don't open their eyes. They usually open their eyes about ten days after birth, so our little tiger cub should be about ten days old."

Pei Ji was hearing about this for the first time, and his face immediately showed an expression of understanding. He couldn't help but ask curiously, "Mother, how did you know?"

Min Yueqing thought to herself that there should be very few people in later generations who are furry lovers like her who don't know about this.

Before the apocalypse, Min Yueqing's favorite thing to browse was posts sharing the daily lives of people raising wild animals. Whenever she had time, she loved to immerse herself in forums on this topic, observing the daily lives of these happy zookeepers, as if she were virtually raising furry creatures herself.

Min Yueqing thought for a moment and gave a similar answer, "It was written in a book I read before."

Pei Ji immediately became interested and eagerly asked, "Mother, what book is it? I didn't know there were books like this! I want to read it too!"

"It's a miscellaneous book I stumbled upon when I was a child, and I'm afraid I can't find it now. Let's ask your father if he has any books like that."

Min Yueqing thought to herself: I'm sorry, Pei Han, you really need to step up your game, or your son will be disappointed.
