Chapter 157 Abnormal

Upon hearing Mu Jin's question, Su Yi explained it to him in a serious manner.

"The main problem is that the inn needs time to clean up the rooms, and my room is not only ready-made, but also closest to where Ling Feng and Ling Yu are on night duty. If another group of assassins comes, they can kill them immediately and ensure that no one wakes up Ah Jin again."

That's true, but Mu Jin felt something was off. However, she was too sleepy to say anything more, so she followed Su Yi's advice and stood up.

Mu Jin originally thought that she would fall asleep as soon as she lay down because she was so tired tonight.

She didn't want to lie on the bed Su Yi had slept in, using the brocade quilt Su Yi had used, the pine scent emanating from Su Yi filling her with a scent that made her toss and turn, unable to sleep.

She admitted that the smell was pleasant, but the thought that it came from Su Yi made her instinctively frown.

After all that tossing and turning, Mu Jin was completely wide awake again. She threw off the covers and sat up.

He walked to the small couch by the window, sat down, poured himself a cup of tea, and drank it all in one gulp.

At that moment, there was a slight rustling sound outside the door, which meant that someone was cleaning up the bodies of the men in black in the next room.

The people cleaning up the scene were clearly martial arts practitioners, because...

Tomorrow, Mu Jin will travel to the Nangong Divine Sect with Nangong Min. However, Su Yi mentioned Bai Ling'er several times tonight, which made her feel uneasy.

Although Su Yi usually seems unreliable, his predictions are always surprisingly accurate.

If Nangong Yao's grandmother truly opposes their relationship, what should she do?

Mu Jin considered herself a decisive person who could easily let go, but Nangong Min's deep affection for her made her hesitate.

Thinking of this, Mu Jin couldn't help but sigh. She leaned against the window, squinting her eyes to feel the night breeze on her face.

The cool night breeze temporarily soothed the restlessness in her heart, and she gradually fell asleep.

Mu Jin was awakened by the knocking on the door. She was about to get out of bed and open the door when Su Yi pushed the door open and walked in.

The two looked at each other and were both taken aback.

Why did you come in without knocking?

Why are you sleeping here? Didn't you sleep in the bed?

Mu Jin and Su Yi spoke at the same time.

Mu Jin said irritably, "You fell asleep while sitting on the couch last night? I'm asking you, why didn't you knock before coming in?"

Su Yi, however, looked completely at ease and raised an eyebrow, saying, "I knocked on the door, and since you didn't object, I came in myself."

Mu Jin frowned and said, "I was asleep and didn't hear it. By the time I heard it, you had already come in."

Su Yi looked completely innocent: "Then I'll knock for a little longer next time."

"You!" Mu Jin thought to herself. She had seen shameless people before, but she had never seen anyone as shameless as Su Yi.

Seeing that Mu Jin was angry, Su Yi quickly went over with a smile to apologize to her.

"It was my fault. I will be more careful next time."

At this moment, Nangong Min also appeared in front of Mu Jin's room. He saw that Mu Jin was awake, so he greeted her with a smile.

"Ah Jin, the disciples from the sect came to Immortal Town to pick us up this morning. They are already downstairs waiting for us. After we finish breakfast, we will return to the Nangong Divine Sect with them."

Seeing Nangong Min's warm smile, Mu Jin's heart softened.

Mu Jin said to Nangong Min, "Go downstairs and wait for me for a moment. I'll come down and have dinner with you after I've washed up."

Nangong Min and Mu Jin nodded with smiles, then turned to Su Yi and said, "King Yi, please come with me too."

Actually, Su Yi had come to call Mu Jin to come downstairs for breakfast. Since Mu Jin needed to wash up, he couldn't stay in her room, so he said goodbye to Mu Jin and went downstairs with Nangong Min to wait.

Today she was to meet Nangong Min's grandmother, and after thinking about it, Mu Jin decided to change into women's clothing as a sign of respect.

When she first met Nangong Min's grandmother, she wanted to make a good impression on her.

When Mu Jin came downstairs from the guest room, the crowd below saw her wearing a light and ethereal pure white dress and couldn't help but marvel at her beauty.

Mu Jin's face was fresh and natural, without any makeup, which made her skin appear even more like jade, delicate and smooth.

Her figure was elegant and dignified. Even in a simple white dress, she exuded an irresistible charm, making her appearance so beautiful that it was unforgettable.

When Su Yi and Nangong Min saw that everyone's eyes were on Mu Jin, their eyes lit up. They both stood up and watched Mu Jin slowly walk towards them.

Mu Jin asked them, "Have you all finished eating?"

Nangong Min said, "Not yet, everyone is waiting for you, Ajin, to have dinner together."

Mu Jin smiled and said to Nangong Min, "It took me a while to wash up, so I'm sorry to have kept you waiting."

Nangong Min smiled gently: "Ajin, you don't need to tell me these things."

When Su Yi saw Mu Jin arrive, he rarely said much. He knew how beautiful Mu Jin was and had seen her appear before him in different outfits. He liked her no matter which one she wore.

But to others, Mu Jin's seemingly casual attire today would be nothing short of ethereal, like a fairy. Yet, this beauty stung Su Yi's eyes.

Mu Jin dressed like this simply to please Nangong Min's family and hope to leave them with a good first impression; a woman dresses up for the one she loves.

Mu Jin was usually so arrogant, but she put aside her pride for Nangong Min. This realization made Su Yi feel inexplicably annoyed.

He couldn't help but wonder when Mu Jin would finally look at him properly, and why she had dressed up so elaborately for him.
