Su Yi found himself trudging along a dark and gloomy mountain path for a long time with a group of soldiers dressed in tattered clothes.
He anxiously asked these people if they had seen Mu Jin, but they did not respond to him. They just focused intently on walking towards the dark hillside ahead.
"Ah Jin, where are you?" Su Yi was extremely anxious. He hurriedly followed the crowd, trying to find Mu Jin's figure.
However, his feet were already worn raw and bleeding, and he was in excruciating pain, but he still couldn't find any trace of Mu Jin.
As he followed the group of ragged soldiers up the mountain, a dark cave suddenly appeared before him.
The cave seemed to emanate a mysterious power, beckoning them to move closer.
Just as Su Yi stepped into the dark cave, a familiar voice called out to him.
"Su Yi!" The voice echoed in the silent night, sounding as if it carried a hint of weeping, mixed with a touch of urgency.
Su Yi stopped in his tracks, but then made up his mind to continue.
"Su Yi!" The voice calling his name came again, this time sounding even more desolate and sorrowful.
That familiar voice was like a sharp sword, piercing Su Yi's heart and making him feel a strange unease.
He stopped and looked back in the direction of the sound. There, standing in a bright light, was the person he had been longing for.
"Ah Jin!" Su Yi waved happily to Mu Jin: "I'm here!"
Mu Jin waved to him from a distance and called out, "Don't go that way, come back quickly!"
Just as Su Yi was about to walk towards Mu Jin, something in the cave seemed to be calling to him. He turned back and shouted to Mu Jin, "Ah Jin, wait for me a moment. Let me go into that cave and see if I can bring back anything interesting to give you."
He had just finished speaking and turned around when he heard Mu Jin crying and calling out to him, "Don't go, Su Yi, come back."
Hearing Mu Jin's sobs, Su Yi stopped in his tracks. "Ah Jin, don't cry." He said anxiously, "I won't leave, I'm coming right now, don't cry."
Su Yi was no longer drawn to the dark cave. This time, he turned around and ran towards Mu Jin without hesitation.
He ran wildly, but his mind gradually became confused, and his body suddenly felt unusually cold, accompanied by sharp pains.
Nevertheless, he gritted his teeth and continued running forward.
As he approached Mu Jin, Mu Jin's figure became increasingly blurry, as if she might disappear at any moment.
He became even more anxious, and suddenly, a drop of water landed on his face.
He slowly raised his hand and touched his cheek, feeling the lingering warmth of the water droplet.
He put his finger in his mouth and licked it lightly, but tasted a bitter flavor. Was this rainwater? Why did it taste bitter?
He looked up in confusion, wanting to ask Mu Jin a question, but Mu Jin's figure gradually disappeared.
Su Yi was extremely anxious. He ran forward and called out urgently, "A Jin!"
Mu Jin was awakened by Su Yi's calls.
"Ah Jin~"
Mu Jin anxiously grasped Su Yi's waving hand, "I'm here, Su Yi, are you alright?"
Last night, not long after Mu Jin fed Su Yi the pill, Su Yi's body suddenly started trembling. She took off her outer garment and covered Su Yi with it. To keep him warmer, she held him close and slept with him all night.
Su Yi did not answer Mu Jin's question. Instead, he frowned and broke out in a cold sweat.
Seeing that his lips were so dry they were about to crack, Mu Jin ran outside again, cupped some rainwater in her palms, and brought it back into the stone cave to feed Su Yi.
Su Yi seemed very thirsty, constantly swallowing. After feeding him water, Mu Jin checked Su Yi's injuries again.
"Su Yi, wake up!" Mu Jin hoped that Su Yi could wake up soon, after all, it was so cold, and she was afraid that Su Yi would never wake up.
Seeing that Su Yi still couldn't answer her, she felt a little disappointed. And with a night already passed and Mu Yan still not coming to pick her up, she felt even more uneasy.
Mu Jin stepped forward and wiped Su Yi's face. It was too dark last night for her to see the injuries on Su Yi's body. Although the sky outside was gray and gloomy, there was still some light, which allowed her to see the fine marks on Su Yi's face clearly.
Seeing these wounds, she quickly lifted Su Yi's clothes to check his injuries. Su Yi's body was covered in bruises, and there were still bloodstains on his clothes. He must have been hit by rocks yesterday and lost a lot of blood. No wonder Su Yi's body was so cold.
"Ah Jin, are you planning to take advantage of me while I'm unconscious?"
Just as Mu Jin was about to continue pulling down Su Yi's pants to check his injuries, a hoarse and weak voice rang out.
Mu Jin froze. She slowly turned her head to look at Su Yi, only to see that Su Yi had a pale face, but his eyes were smiling as he looked at her.
It wasn't her hallucination; Su Yi had actually woken up. "You're finally awake?" Mu Jin's eyes reddened again, and she choked out with a sob, "If you hadn't woken up, I would have left!"
Su Yi chuckled twice, then stared straight at Mu Jin.
Mu Jin asked, "Are you still able to sit up?"
Su Yi looked apologetic and shook his head, saying, "Not at the moment."
Mu Jin, who had been trying so hard to hold back her tears, finally let them fall, and she leaned over and hugged Su Yi tightly.
Her voice was hoarse from crying as she said, "Last night I thought I would never find you again."
Su Yi raised his hand, touched Mu Jin's head, and pressed her head into his chest, saying, "Why are you so silly? Didn't I tell you that you must take good care of yourself in the future and not be soft-hearted towards others!"
