Chapter 36 The Theater

Seeing Su Yun's exasperated state, Mu Jin felt quite pleased.

Mu Jin walked towards Eleven, who had been waiting for him for a long time, patted him on the shoulder, and said, "Eleven, have you been settling in well at the Yun Prince's Mansion these past few days?"

Eleven replied gently, "Thank you for your concern, Miss. Everything is fine."

Mu Jin nodded and, with Qing'er's help, got into the carriage.

After the two, master and servant, were settled, Qing'er said to Eleven outside the carriage, "Go to Zuiyue Tower on South Gate Street."

Only after receiving instructions did Shiyi slowly drive the carriage away.

"Miss, you're amazing! Lately, the Prince is finding it increasingly difficult to deal with you. Aren't you afraid that your slap might make her stupid?"

Mu Jin tapped her palm rhythmically with her fan and chuckled, "To get a divorce from me, Chen Qianqian really put in a lot of effort to become my official wife. Should I praise him as a good man or a scumbag?"

Qing'er said blankly, "Any man you don't like is a scumbag! But why do I feel that the Prince doesn't really want to divorce you, Miss?"

"Heh~ That must be your imagination. I don't care what he thinks. I will never share the same man with other women. My man can only have one person in his heart. Otherwise, even if I like him a lot, I will give him up."

Mu Jin's words drifted out from behind the carriage curtain and reached the ears of those who were paying attention. The corners of that person's mouth curved slightly, but no one noticed unless they looked closely.

After traveling for some time, the carriage finally stopped on South Gate Street.

Eleven lifted the carriage curtain and said to Mu Jin, "Miss, we've arrived at Zuiyue Tower!"

Qing'er bent down to help Mu Jin up, and they got off the carriage together.

"Zuiyuelou" is a high-class theater, and a large curtain at the entrance depicts a beautiful female actor.

She held a rose in her hand, lightly biting it with her red lips. She wore a modified, half-concealing costume, which sparked the imagination. Three large characters were marked in the lower corner of the canvas: "Drunken Beauty," suggesting that she was the protagonist of today's performance.

Even during the day, "Drunken Moon Pavilion" was still bustling with activity. When Mu Jin led Qing'er and Eleven inside, the entire hall was packed with people and every seat was occupied.

Women of various looks and handsome or valiant young men were stationed throughout the theater to greet visitors.

They can accurately cater to different customer groups according to their needs.

Mu Jin looked at the "Drunken Moon Pavilion" and found that its decorations and reception were different from other theaters.

It's a theater, not called Pear Garden or Theater, but with such a romantic name. No wonder Su Yuntian was so excited when he knew she was coming here, and even told her not to do anything reckless.

Mu Jin nodded in satisfaction as she looked around, then patted Qing'er on the shoulder and praised her, saying, "You chose a good location."

Qing'er also looked innocent; she hadn't expected that the theater seemed to be a place they shouldn't be visiting.

At that time, a stage was set up in front of the main hall, covered with a red carpet, and decorated with cloud sand and flowers.

Before the show even started, girls from the theater were already playing the zither on stage to entertain the audience.

The girls playing the zither were all beautiful, and just looking at their slender, fair, and delicate hands made one want to reach out and touch them.

When Mu Jin and his two companions entered the hall, a beautiful and voluptuous maidservant immediately stepped forward and asked with a smile.

"Gentlemen, I'm so sorry, but the downstairs seats are all full. There are still some elegant seats available upstairs. Would you mind coming up to the second floor for the pleasure of our visit?"

Mu Jin glanced at Qing'er, who immediately understood and took out a silver note to hand to the maid.

Qing'er said, "Please give us a private room of the finest quality, and the rest, tea and snacks."

When the maid saw Qing'er's generous gesture, she immediately pressed herself against Qing'er with enthusiasm. Qing'er was so startled by the maid's enthusiasm that she quickly jumped away.

The waitress covered her mouth with her hand and smiled, "Please follow me, gentlemen."

The private rooms on the second floor are separated by screens.

As Mu Jin and his companions entered the private room, they discovered it faced the stage directly. The seats on the left were empty, while the innermost seat on the right, against the wall, was occupied by two young gentlemen. This did not affect Mu Jin's impression.

Mu Jin sat down with satisfaction, and when she turned around and saw that Qing'er and Eleven were still standing behind her, she couldn't help but raise her eyebrows.

"What are you standing there for, like a door god? Sit down."

Only then did the two of them happily sit down on either side of Mu Jin.

Before long, two waitresses brought tea, melon seeds, and tea cakes and placed them on the table.

Qing'er poured Mu Jin a cup of tea. Mu Jin took a sip and enjoyed the fragrant and sweet tea. The aroma that lingered on her palate was refreshing and sweet, just the way Mu Jin liked it.

Mu Jin picked up a few peeled pine nuts and threw them into her mouth. She glanced around at the private rooms downstairs, where some male spectators had also hired one or two beautiful female attendants to accompany them while watching the opera.

Watching Eleven sitting to her right diligently peeling pine nuts for her, she couldn't help but want to tease him.

"Hey~ National Day!"

When Shiyi heard Mu Jin call him, his eyes lit up as he looked at Mu Jin.

"Look at those private rooms downstairs."

Eleven obediently looked down and saw a fat man embracing a waitress in a teahouse and feeding her tea mouth-to-mouth. Eleven immediately looked away.

Mu Jin said with a grin, "Want me to book one for you too? Looking at your age, you should be getting married. If you need one, go for it, don't hold back."

Shiyi shook his head again, and Mu Jin smiled and said, "At your age, are you married at home?"

Just as Shiyi was about to say no, she realized that she didn't know her past self at all, so she said, "I can't remember, so I guess no."

Mu Jin smiled and said, "Judging from your age, even if you haven't married yet, you probably have quite a few concubines at home. Don't be shy."

Eleven placed the shelled pine nuts on the empty plate in front of Mu Jin and said seriously, "There will be no concubines. If I want a woman, it will be one with her for life, and there will be no one else."

Upon hearing this, Mu Jin smiled indifferently and looked back at the stage.

Seeing that Mu Jin didn't respond to her words, Shiyi felt a little annoyed, thinking that she shouldn't have said these things in front of Mu Jin.

At this moment, on the opposite stage, dancers took to the stage one by one, and as soon as they appeared, gasps of amazement rose from the audience.

The dancers on stage had delicate features and skin as smooth as cream. When they sang, their movements were as graceful as silk, and when they danced, their waists were supple, slender, and beautiful.

Mu Jin was dazzled by the sights, and Qing'er gradually relaxed as well. The two, mistress and servant, started chatting idly about which dancer had the biggest breasts and the most shapely buttocks.

Eleven listened with his head down, his face flushed.

Suddenly, a dancer dressed in a red gauze dress appeared at the very end of the stage. Her dance steps were light and powerful, like flower petals fluttering in the air.

As she danced, her supple waist, like a water snake, and her full and exquisite figure were faintly visible beneath her red gauze dress, while her peach-blossom-like face stunned the onlookers.

This must be the sign outside, "Drunken Beauty," and it truly is beautiful.

Such dance skills drew cheers from the audience.

Mu Jin looked at the dancer and asked Qing'er, "What do you think of this dancer?"

Qing'er's eyes widened: "So beautiful!"

"Who do you think is prettier, her or Shen Qianqian?"

Qing'er shook her head. "Shen Qianqian is no match for her."

Mu Jin, with ill intentions, smiled and said, "What do you think about me buying one to take back as a concubine for Su Yuntian?"
