In the Green Bamboo Courtyard of the Prince Yun's Mansion, Eleven had just finished reporting what she had found out to Mu Jin.
"So, this play only started circulating in the last two weeks?"
Eleven nodded and said, "Those people described what the person who delivered the script looked like. Based on their description, I drew a picture of that person. Please take a look, Miss."
Mu Jin took the portrait handed to her by Eleven, glanced at it, and found that the person was Guangfu, but she was not very surprised.
Mu Jin scoffed, "He's really loyal to Shen Qianqian. What have we done lately to make them so impatient that they're willing to hire someone to kill me?"
Hearing Mu Jin say this, Qing'er said hatefully, "It must be that bitch Shen Qianqian who found out that the prince and young lady have been spending too much time together lately and got jealous!"
"When did I have too much contact with Su Yuntian? I've noticed that what you're saying lately is getting more and more unreliable." Mu Jin strongly disagreed with Qing'er's statement.
Qing'er retorted, "How could I speak without reason? It's true. In the past, the prince didn't care where you went, Miss. He probably wouldn't even notice if you didn't see me for months. Now, he won't let me call you Miss, but Princess. If you've only been out for half a day, he'll be waiting at the door to interrogate you. Don't you think the prince has been overly concerned about you lately?"
Mu Jin thought back and realized that Su Yuntian did not really pay attention to Cai Yuanyuan. However, after she returned to the manor, he often jumped around in front of her, but it was always to find fault with her, and it really had nothing to do with caring.
“Miss, you’ve lost some of your memories. You’ve probably forgotten that the Prince used to treat you like you were invisible. Unless it was because of Shen Qianqian, he probably would have forgotten that there was such a person as you in the Prince’s mansion. So back then, in order to see the Prince, you would stick to Shen Qianqian every day and be nice to her all the time. No matter how I tried to persuade you, you wouldn’t listen!”
Hearing Qing'er's words, Mu Jin couldn't help but facepalm, speechless at the original owner of this body: "Alright, alright, stop disgusting me, okay?"
Qing'er muttered, "What I said was the truth."
"If, as you say, Su Yuntian only showed me a little concern, and Shen Qianqian couldn't wait to have me killed, then what if I get closer to Su Yuntian in the future? Wouldn't she personally take action against me?"
"This method is only to prevent you from faking it, but the prince might take it seriously. Unless you plan to snatch the prince back, it will be difficult to back down later."
Eleven listened to the conversation between the master and servant, each word piercing his heart.
He didn't know if he felt sorry for Mu Jin from before, or worried about Mu Jin now and in the future. He stood quietly to the side with a frown, listening to the master and servant bickering.
Mu Jin noticed that Eleven was standing too quietly beside her, so she said to him, "You've worked hard today. You should go back first. I'll think about it tonight and let you know if I have any plans for tomorrow."
Eleven bowed to Mu Jin and was about to take his leave when he heard the gate of Cuizhu Courtyard being kicked open with a bang.
"Everyone inside, get out here!"
The three people in the house exchanged glances. When they heard Su Yuntian's voice, Qing'er immediately realized what was happening and said in a panic.
"The prince has come. He saw Eleven in Miss's room. We're all doomed."
Mu Jin was puzzled. They had come, and they hadn't done anything shameful, so why were they so flustered?
When Shiyi saw that Qing'er was overly nervous, he knew that it must be because his presence in Mu Jin's room was inappropriate.
After looking around Mu Jin's room, Eleven gave Mu Jin and Qing'er a reassuring look. He then lightly flew up and landed on the roof beam. He quickly moved the roof tiles, leaped off, and quickly covered the tiles back up without leaving a trace.
Eleven's series of actions were completed in the blink of an eye by Mu Jin and Qing'er. By the time Mu Jin and Qing'er came to their senses, Eleven had already disappeared from Mu Jin's room, as if he had never been there at all.
Seeing that Eleven had left, Mu Jin asked in confusion, "It's not like it was just me and Eleven alone in a room, you were there too, what could others possibly misunderstand?"
Qing'er quickly undressed Mu Jin: "It's not a misunderstanding. The Prince's Mansion has a rule that male servants cannot enter the inner courtyard after 5 PM. The lightest punishment is being sold off, and the heaviest is being beaten to death."
Mu Jin was speechless at these feudal etiquette rules.
"Everyone's gone, why are you taking off my clothes? If Su Yuntian sees this, he'll naturally leave."
Qing'er pushed Mu Jin into the bathroom: "Miss, how can you guarantee that the prince isn't here to cause you trouble? Go take a bath and I'll go out to deal with the prince later. I think the prince won't dare to come in and make things difficult for you if he hears you're taking a bath."
Mu Jin said indifferently, "Whatever. I've had a long day, and I should take a bath. You can go now."
Seeing Qing'er go out and Mu Jin stripped herself naked, she tiptoed to test the water temperature in the bathtub, and the temperature was just right.
Mu Jin then stepped into the bathtub with one foot, followed by the other, and sat down, relaxing completely as if she were one with the water. The warmth made her feel lightheaded, and she closed her eyes, feeling as soft as a puddle of mud. In just a moment, she actually fell asleep comfortably.
Qing'er went outside and bowed to Su Yuntian.
"I wonder what brings Your Highness here so late at night. The Princess Consort was frightened today and has just finished her meal. She is currently taking a bath in the bathroom and is not able to come out to greet you at this time. If you have anything to say to me, I will definitely pass it on to the Princess Consort in a moment."
Su Yuntian believed that Qing'er's actions were to help Mu Jin and Eleven cover up their affair. His face darkened, and he shouted.
"Everyone, get out of here, or don't blame me for being ruthless!"
Qing'er was taken aback. What was going on? Were they going to kick her out? Seeing that Qing'er didn't move, Su Yuntian signaled the guards to come forward and pull Qing'er away.
Qing'er struggled and said, "Your Highness, what are you doing? You can't go in, and I can't go out either."
Seeing that Su Yuntian had no room for negotiation, Qing'er regretted letting Mu Jin take a bath. She silently prayed, "I'm sorry, Miss. Now I can only pray that you have a good time."
Su Yuntian was convinced that Mu Jin and Eleven must have done something shameful inside. He used a great deal of reason to control himself and not confront Mu Jin and Eleven about their affair in front of all the servants.
Seeing that all the servants in Cuizhu Courtyard had left, Su Yuntian quickly walked to Mu Jin's room and kicked the door open.
Mu Jin was awakened by the sound of Su Yuntian kicking the bathroom door. She thought it was another groping maid, so she didn't say anything and continued to comfortably close her eyes.
Su Yuntian entered Mu Jin's room, but no one was there. He went straight to the bed, pulled back the quilt, and seeing no one, he opened all the wardrobes, but still no one was there. Finally, he went into the bathroom.
The bathroom was filled with steam, and in the bathtub, only half a head was above the water.
Mu Jin was soaking in the bathtub, the water was covering her mouth and about to reach her nose. She still had her eyes closed. Suddenly, her body slowly slid down. Just as Mu Jin was about to drown, she was suddenly pulled up by someone.
