Chapter 60 Merlin

It was already winter, and the outskirts of Beijing were covered in white. There wasn't a single person along the way. No wonder, in such cold weather, there weren't many people willing to go out of the city to admire the plum blossoms.

In this snowy weather, most people will stay at home unless they need to make a living.

The carriage in the Prince Yi's mansion was very large. Because Su Muxue was there, there was a charcoal box for heating inside, and a stove was set up on a low table for brewing tea.

"Only your brother spoils you so much that you come out to admire the plum blossoms in this awful weather. Look, we've been away from the city gate for almost half an hour, and haven't we seen a single person along the way?"

Su Muxue retorted, "How would I know it's so cold outside?"

As the two siblings were teasing each other, the carriage suddenly stopped.

Ling Yu, who was completely covered in snow except for his eyes, was now wrapped up from head to toe in the snow. He called out to the people inside the car.

"Master, there is a plum grove ahead, but there are people in the plum grove. Should we continue forward?"

Upon hearing this, Su Muxue lifted the carriage curtain. A cool breeze, carrying snowflakes and the fragrance of plum blossoms, rushed into the carriage. The fine snowflakes covered her face, causing her to sneeze instantly. Seeing her reaction, Su Yi couldn't help but tease her.

"Are you getting off the bus again? You'll get cold. Don't cry to me, I don't have time for you."

Su Muxue retorted defiantly, "I'm not that weak! Didn't they say there are people outside? The people of Dongyue Kingdom aren't afraid of the cold, so why would I, a princess, be afraid of the cold?"

As he spoke, he sneezed again at just the right moment.

Su Yi raised an eyebrow, said no more, lifted the carriage curtain and got off the carriage, then turned around and urged Su Muxue to get off the carriage quickly.

As soon as the two siblings got off the carriage, the fragrance of plum blossoms filled their nostrils.

Under the plum grove in the distance, two people didn't seem to be admiring the snow, but rather practicing martial arts. One of them was watching from the side, while the other was practicing with a sword.

The brother and sister walked a short distance towards the plum grove, then suddenly stopped.

Because they discovered that the person dancing with a sword in front of them was actually Mu Jin, whom Su Muxue had been searching for for a month without success.

In the plum grove in winter, Mu Jin seems to be dancing with the snow and plum blossoms.

Mu Jin, long sword in hand, gracefully practiced martial arts. Plum blossoms and snowflakes fluttered and danced in the air under her sword's aura, like tiny petals scattered in the sky.

She was agile and her swordsmanship was as smooth as flowing water. Every turn and every leap was full of power and beauty.

Her gaze was firm and profound, as if she were one with everything in the world. She was like a fairy in the snow, using her sword to paint a beautiful picture.

This was the first time Su Yi and Su Muxue had ever seen Mu Jin like this, and they were both stunned.

It was Su Muxue who couldn't hold back any longer and shouted to Mu Jin in the distance, "A Jin!"

Upon hearing the shout, Mu Jin sheathed her sword and looked towards the source of the sound with Eleven. They were somewhat surprised to see that it was Su Yi and Su Muxue, the brother and sister.

Su Muxue excitedly ran towards her from a distance.

Mu Jin turned and handed the sword to Eleven, then walked towards Su Muxue's direction.

Meeting Su Yi and Su Muxue in the plum grove on the outskirts of the city in such cold weather was beyond Mu Jin's expectations.

Seeing Su Muxue running closer, she smiled and said, "Princess, why are you out in this weather?"

Su Muxue ran up and hugged Mu Jin, excitedly saying, "Isn't it because your maid keeps saying you're going to the suburbs to admire the plum blossoms? I wanted to come out and see how beautiful the plum blossoms are, so you wouldn't stay in the mansion all day."

Upon hearing Su Muxue's words, Mu Jin recalled that on several nights this month, when she returned to the manor, she had heard her maids tell her that Su Muxue had come to see her. She figured it was nothing serious; the delicate princess was just bored and wanted to go out and play with her.

So she had her maids make up stories about going to the theater or going out of the city to admire the plum blossoms to get rid of the palace servants sent by Su Muxue. She never expected that Su Muxue would actually come here.

Su Muxue said excitedly to Mu Jin, "Ah Jin, the sword technique you just performed was so beautiful! I didn't know you knew martial arts. I want to learn too, can you teach me?"

Unable to resist Su Muxue's enthusiasm, Mu Jin subtly brushed Su Muxue's hand away, smiling as she spoke.

"Your Highness is joking. I don't know anything about martial arts. I was just bored at home, and my father sent me a martial arts instructor, so I practiced for fun."

As they spoke, Su Yi walked up to the two of them, still sporting a handsome and charming smile.

"Sister-in-law's heroic demeanor has truly impressed my brother and me."

Su Muxue glared at Su Yi and said, "Stop calling me 'sister-in-law' all the time. It sounds so strange to me."

Su Yi continued to look at Mu Jin. Because she had just practiced dancing, Mu Jin's face was flushed, and it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that she had a face as beautiful as a peach blossom.

Su Yi said to Mu Jin, "Mu Xue is right. Then I will call you sister-in-law A Jin together with Mu Xue from now on, okay?"

Mu Jin scoffed inwardly. This Su Yi's skin was thicker than the snow on the ground. They were so familiar with each other? He even called her A Jin!

"Just call me Mu Jin!" Mu Jin said to Su Yi.

Su Muxue stepped forward and hugged Mu Jin's hand tightly, her affection for Mu Jin growing even stronger.

"Whenever Ah Jin talks about appreciating plum blossoms in the suburbs, does she mean practicing dance while enjoying the plum blossoms?"

Mu Jin raised an eyebrow: "Is that not allowed?"

Su Muxue laughed and said, "That's really great, but can I learn with you? I'm bored staying in the palace anyway, so please let me learn with you."

Mu Jin was getting a headache from Su Muxue's nagging, and pointed to Eleven not far away, saying, "Then go ask my master."

Mu Jin turned around and called for Eleven to come forward. Upon seeing this, Eleven stepped forward and clasped his hands with Su Yi and Su Muxue, saying, "Greetings, Prince Yi! Greetings, Princess."
