Chapter 68 Worries

Hearing Mu Jin tease him so carelessly, Su Yuntian didn't get angry at Mu Jin for the first time.

When Su Yuntian learned that Mu Jin had been kidnapped and her fate was unknown, he couldn't help but feel panicked. For the first time, he thought that as long as Mu Jin could return safely, he would treat her well and cherish her from now on, and would never hold a grudge against her again.

Su Yuntian grasped Mu Jin's hands. Looking at the bloody marks on Mu Jin's wrists, his eyes were filled with malice.

Mu Jin disliked Su Yuntian's touch. Just as she was about to shake off Su Yuntian's hand, she saw Guangfu standing behind Su Yuntian, looking at her with a sinister expression.

When Mu Jin suddenly looked at him, Guang Fu's pupils inadvertently contracted slightly. He immediately put on a gentle expression, smiled, took two steps forward, and said to Mu Jin.

"It's good that the Princess is safe and sound. After the Prince learned that the Princess was in trouble, he immediately sent people from the government office and all the guards in the manor to come here. The Prince was very worried about the Princess."

Guangfu believed that Mu Jin and Qing'er must have died in the humiliation inflicted by the bandits, never to return.

Unexpectedly, Qing'er was rescued by the people of the Yi King's Mansion. When Qing'er appeared in the mansion, he was thrown into a panic.

When Qing'er told her that Mu Jin had been kidnapped by the bandits, she felt relieved. If she fell into the hands of the bandits, she would have been raped and killed according to plan long ago. Even if she came back now to get reinforcements, it would be too late.

When he saw Su Yuntian calling for men to rescue Mu Jin, Guangfu couldn't help but follow. He wanted to see Mu Jin dead with his own eyes, and also use the soldiers to kill the bandits. After that, no one would stand in Shen Qianqian's way, and no one would know that he had ordered the bandits to intercept and kill Mu Jin. It was a win-win situation.

What Guangfu didn't expect was that Mu Jin was so lucky that she survived even when she was among these bandits.

And what about Eleven? He clearly had someone watch as Eleven drank the poisoned medicine. How could he have ended up in these mountains and saved Mu Jin?

While Guangfu was astonished and puzzled, he heard Su Yuntian give an order to Zhao Wude, the prefect of the yamen.

"Go up the mountain immediately and capture those who plotted to murder the princess. I will make sure they suffer a terrible death!"

When Zhao Wude, the prefect of the yamen, heard the news that Princess Yun had been kidnapped for the second time, he was so frightened that he broke out in a cold sweat. He had just found clues about the bandit's hideout a little over a month ago and hadn't even had time to go up the mountain to close the net when he heard the news that Mu Jin had been kidnapped again.

Zhao Wude dared not slack off and followed Su Yuntian all the way here, without even having time to catch his breath.

Upon hearing Su Yuntian's order, Zhao Wude, who had barely caught his breath, looked at the towering mountain, took a deep breath, and was about to climb it when he heard Mu Jin speaking leisurely to Su Yuntian.

"When those bandits tried to harm me, Eleven arrived in time and saved my life. However, those bandits were really vicious and domineering. Just as they were about to harm us again, Eleven killed them all."

Upon hearing this, Su Yuntian imagined the perilous situation Mu Jin had faced and frowned. He snorted coldly, "Letting them die so easily is too lenient on them."

But for Guangfu, hearing this news brought a sudden gleam to his eyes, and the corners of his mouth couldn't be concealed as they turned up slightly. The bandits were all dead—perfect! This meant his deal with them would be unknown to everyone.

It's a pity that those bandits didn't properly humiliate Mu Jin before killing her. For now, they can only spare Mu Jin's life for a while and then plan their next move.

Guangfu was thinking this when Mu Jin suddenly stopped beside him and said something to Zhao Wude.

"Oh, right, look at my memory! There was also a bandit leader named Zhao Dahu. When he was disrespectful to me, I knocked him unconscious with one blow, tied him up, and threw him under the bed in his room. I'd appreciate it if Lord Zhao could order someone to tie him up and take him back to the yamen for a thorough interrogation to see who really wanted my life!"

Upon hearing Mu Jin's words, Zhao Wude repeatedly agreed and then ordered the soldiers to follow him up the mountain to search for the suspect.

Guangfu, upon hearing Mu Jin's words, felt as if he had been struck by lightning. His head buzzed, and he seemed unable to hear what the others were saying. He only saw the constables running up the mountain, and he mechanically followed them.

Mu Jin glanced at Eleven, who, upon receiving the signal, immediately blocked his path.

Mu Jin smiled slightly as she stood in front of Guangfu: "Where are you going, Steward? Let the yamen handle the task of capturing the bandits. I'm tired too. Let everyone in the manor go home."

When Su Yuntian heard Mu Jin say she was tired, he said to Guangfu, "I have left two guards here to await news. Give the order, and the rest of you will return to the manor with me."

Upon hearing Su Yuntian's order, Guangfu was stunned for a moment before lowering his head slightly and replying with a deathly expression. Mu Jin turned to look at him and smiled, saying, "Let's go, butler!"

After Su Yuntian helped Mu Jin into the carriage, he followed her in.

On this mountain, two men were watching as the guards of the Prince Yun's mansion, carrying torches, followed Mu Jin's carriage in a grand procession toward the capital.

These two were Su Yi and his bodyguard Ling Feng.

In the afternoon, Ling Feng had someone escort Qing'er back to the Yun Prince's Mansion, and then he returned to the Yi Prince's Mansion to report back.

This time, he was ordered by Su Yi to investigate the background of Shen Qianqian and Guangfu in the Shen family. When he returned to report, he thought of what he had encountered today and told Su Yi about the incident where Mu Jin's maid fainted in the snow and Mu Jin's coachman rushed out of the city to look for Mu Jin.

Upon hearing this, Su Yi immediately stood up from his seat, his face stern, and gave instructions to Ling Feng.

"Take me there immediately."

While Ling Feng was still completely bewildered, wondering where he was going, Su Yi had already strode out of the hall by the time he realized what was happening.

Su Yi mounted his magnificent white steed and charged out of the city gate like a madman. Ling Feng almost lost him. Finally, when the two found Eleven's horse at the foot of the mountain, they used their lightness skills to catch up and finally found the bandit's den on the mountain.

Upon arriving outside the bandit's den, Su Yi and Ling Feng witnessed Mu Jin carrying Eleven as she slowly slid down, kneeling beneath the eaves littered with the corpses of bandits.

At that moment, Ling Feng seemed to hear his master, Su Yi, exhale a long breath, as if he had survived a disaster and felt fortunate.

When Mu Jin's carriage returned to the capital, it was already the morning of the second day after the robbery, around 9:00 AM.

A large crowd of onlookers gathered on both sides of the street. Since the carriage was the official carriage of the Prince Yun's residence, the people began to whisper among themselves.

Yesterday, Princess Yun went missing, and Prince Yun was furious. He personally led the officials and his own soldiers on horseback to the city gate. The matter has become common knowledge. Now, judging from the current situation, it seems that Prince Yun has brought Princess Yun back.

Mu Jin lifted the curtain of the carriage, and her and Su Yuntian's figures were faintly visible under the curtain, which made the people even more excited to talk about it.

It must be the Prince and Princess sitting inside. Everyone says that the Prince dislikes the Princess, but it seems that's not true. If he did dislike her, why would he go to the trouble of personally bringing her back?
