Chapter 70 Unable to control one's lower body

In the Green Bamboo Courtyard, the imperial physician was carefully treating Mu Jin's wounds and taking her pulse.

The imperial physician concluded that Mu Jin was simply suffering from insufficient vital energy and coldness entering her body. He prescribed a medicine to dispel the cold and calm the mind, and advised her to rest well and take the medicine on time, and she would be fine.

Hearing the imperial physician say this, Su Yuntian breathed a sigh of relief. He had someone reward the physician and then had him escorted out of Cuizhu Courtyard.

Seeing that the imperial physicians had all left, but Su Yuntian was still sitting there, Mu Jin couldn't help but frown.

"Does Your Highness have anything else to say? If not, please return."

Su Yuntian disliked Mu Jin's attempt to send him away, so he said to Mu Jin, "I will stay in the Green Bamboo Courtyard with you today."

Mu Jin couldn't help but laugh at Su Yuntian's words: "Seriously, Su Yuntian, are you out of your mind? When have I ever needed your company?"

Su Yuntian never imagined he would end up like this, offering to accompany Mu Jin only to be asked to leave by her.

"I promised I would make it up to you. From now on, I will stay in the Green Bamboo Courtyard to keep you company whenever I have free time, and I will never ignore you again~"

"Get out, I don't want to see you!" Before Su Yuntian could finish speaking, Mu Jin interrupted him by pointing to the door.

Despite being rejected by Mu Jin time and time again, the proud Su Yuntian couldn't help but show a sullen expression, even though he wanted to reconcile with Mu Jin.

"Are you going to waste your whole life with me like this?" Su Yuntian said in a deep voice.

"A lifetime? Su Yuntian, aren't you overthinking it? We're about to get divorced, what's the point of a lifetime?" Mu Jin scoffed.

"you!"

After a brief stalemate, just as Su Yuntian was about to lash out, a maid from Qiushui Garden ran in from outside Cuizhu Courtyard and called out.

"Your Highness, something terrible has happened! Please hurry and save Consort Shen! Consort Shen... has committed suicide!"

Su Yuntian was shocked and turned to scold the maid: "What nonsense are you talking about? Why would Consort Shen commit suicide when she was perfectly fine?"

The maid cried to Su Yuntian, tears streaming down her face.

“Consort Shen said that the prince did not believe her and even suspected her of plotting against the princess. Consort Shen said that she would prove her innocence with her death, so she hanged herself.”

Upon hearing that Shen Qianqian had hanged herself, Su Yuntian stopped arguing with Mu Jin at Cuizhu Courtyard and disappeared from the courtyard in a moment without Mu Jin having to chase him away.

Just as the maid from Qiushui Garden was about to leave, Qing'er grabbed her arm. She asked, "Did Consort Shen really hang herself?"

The maid nodded repeatedly: "It's true, Sister Qing'er. If it weren't for Sister Cuixiang discovering it in time, Consort Shen would probably have died!"

Upon hearing this, Mu Jin couldn't help but chuckle: "It seems that Cui Xiang discovered it very quickly; she should be rewarded."

As soon as she finished speaking, a servant came from the front yard and respectfully said to Mu Jin, "Your Highness, someone has sent you a letter, saying that if you need the person mentioned in the letter, they will arrange for him to come to your door immediately."

Who could have delivered the letter to her? Mu Jin looked puzzled. After realizing what was happening, she told Qing'er to take the maids from Qiushui Garden away, and then opened the letter herself.

While Mu Jin was reading the letter, Su Yuntian rushed to Qiushui Garden and saw that a three-foot-long white silk ribbon was still hanging from the beam of Shen Qianqian's house.

Shen Qianqian had been rescued by Cuixiang. She was breathing weakly and her face was pale. The red marks on her slender neck were still very obvious.

Cui Xiang, standing beside Shen Qianqian, cried until her eyes were red: "Consort, why did you have to do this..."

Shen Qianqian smiled bitterly, "I am just an orphan without parents. I was taken in by my aunt and the prince when I was young, which gave me a home. Now that the prince no longer believes me, what use is my life? I might as well die. Why should I keep this life to hinder the relationship between the prince and the princess?"

Su Yuntian stood outside Shen Qianqian's room, listening to Shen Qianqian and Cuixiang's conversation. He felt somewhat guilty, blaming himself for saying too harshly to Shen Qianqian earlier.

Su Yuntian entered Shen Qianqian's room, and Cuixiang got up and left the room when she saw him.

After Cuixiang left, Su Yuntian hugged Shen Qianqian tightly.

Shen Qianqian, who was being held by Su Yuntian, sobbed softly.

Hearing Shen Qianqian's pitiful and helpless sobs, Su Yuntian said, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said such harsh words to you."

"Isn't Your Highness going to accompany the Princess? What are you doing here? Qianqian is all alone here, with no one to rely on. If Your Highness really thinks Qianqian is colluding with that bandit, then hand me over to the authorities instead of suspecting me. Your suspicion is nothing more than wanting Qianqian to die!"

Su Yuntian never expected that a single annoying remark would escalate to this point, and he hugged Shen Qianqian even tighter.

"I didn't mean anything by it, how could you take it to heart? You even tried to hang yourself. If you died, would you let my mother punish me and make me blame myself for the rest of my life?"

Upon hearing Su Yuntian's words, Shen Qianqian cried her heart out in his arms.

The two poured out their hearts to each other, as if the scene of being suspected and attempting suicide by hanging had never happened.

Shen Qianqian also took the initiative to talk about her childhood: "My aunt said that I loved to follow you around since I was little, and I didn't want anyone else. Every time you came home from school, I would only eat properly if the prince hugged me. From a young age, Qianqian knew that she had no father or mother, only her aunt and cousin."

Shen Qianqian looked at Su Yuntian with deep affection, "Your Highness, please don't doubt Qianqian anymore, okay? Love Qianqian for the rest of your life, and don't abandon Qianqian, okay?"

Su Yuntian replied, "Alright, I will always believe in you, love you, and never abandon you for the rest of my life. Please don't do such foolish things again, okay?"

As the two poured out their hearts to each other and promised to be together forever, an old woman squatted down in front of the gate of the Yunwang Mansion and began to curse loudly.

"Zhang Guangfu! You shameless and despicable bastard! I've been looking for you for over ten years, and I never imagined you'd come to the capital with that slut's son, impersonating a nobleman, while leaving me and my son to fend for ourselves in some backwater! Bah! What goes around comes around. Heaven has finally found you, so get out here!"
