In front of a small stone table in the Lin family garden, Nan Wenhui and Lin Yueru sat. On the stone table were several plates of exquisite pastries and a pot of tea.
Mu Jin came all the way from outside the Lin family mansion gate and did not see any other guests. In this huge garden, there were only the grandfather and grandson in front of her.
Therefore, the reason that they are afraid of having too many guests to serve them is simply nonexistent.
Lin Yueru was dressed in a red, fitted silk palace dress, and her hairstyle was the most beautiful in the Southern Shu Kingdom. The other hair ornaments on her head were priceless gemstones and hairpins.
From a distance, she saw Mu Jin wearing only a lilac-colored gauze dress and light makeup, yet she was still so beautiful that she couldn't take her eyes off her.
Lin Yueru was actually quite beautiful. She was pampered and spoiled by Nan Wenhui from a young age, and was a typical royal woman of the Southern Shu Kingdom.

Mu Jin approached the two and bowed to the grandmother and granddaughter, saying, "This humble girl, Mu Jin, greets Princess Wenhui and Princess Yue Ru!"
Nan Wenhui and Lin Yueru glanced at Mu Jin but ignored her, continuing their casual conversation.
“Grandmother, I recently heard something interesting, but I’m afraid that if I tell you, it will offend your ears, so I don’t know whether I should say it or not.”
Nan Wenhui smiled and said, "Ru'er, please speak freely."
Lin Yueru glanced at Mu Jin with a cold smile and continued talking to Nan Wenhui.
"There was a woman who, behind her husband's back, seduced her brother-in-law, causing him to turn against her elder brother. Don't you think this woman was shameless?"
"Ha! The world is going to the dogs. How can there be such a shameless adulteress? I will make sure the officials throw that adulterous couple into a pig cage to set the record straight in this southern Shu."
Lin Yueru couldn't help but laugh and said, "How could there be such a shameless person in my Southern Shu Kingdom? I heard that the vile woman is from the Eastern Yue Kingdom."
"Oh?" Nan Wenhui responded with a puzzled look, and said, "Then he must be an extremely shameless person, otherwise, how could the news have reached us when Dongyue Kingdom is so far away from our Nanshu Kingdom?"
"Who says otherwise?" The grandfather and grandson glanced at Mu Jin and laughed smugly.
Hearing the grandfather and granddaughter making veiled insults, Mu Jin remained expressionless, but Qing'er's eyes were red, her head was lowered, and she was about to tear the handkerchief in her hand to shreds.
Mu Jin chuckled inwardly. Actually, she didn't care much for banter, but she had indeed been standing for quite a while today. If she had continued to stand there silently, she was sure that she would have had to stand there until Su Yi arrived.
"If Princess Wenhui is too busy today, Mu Jin will come to visit another day."
After Mu Jin finished speaking, she was about to leave with Qing'er when she heard a voice behind her say, "Wait!"
Nan Wenhui said, "What a temper!"
Mu Jin turned around and smiled at Nan Wenhui: "Princess Wenhui, are you referring to me?"
Nan Wenhui glanced at Mu Jin, her gaze suddenly turning gloomy.
"Mu Jin, you are merely an ordinary woman from the Eastern Yue Kingdom, yet you have been summoned by me. This is the highest honor of your life. Before I have even spoken, you dare to turn and leave. Do you not take me seriously?"
"Your Highness is too kind," Mu Jin said, her expression unchanged. "Mu Jin is a guest of the Lin family; how could she not respect her host?"
"But Mu Jin stood outside the Lin residence for an hour today, and then stood in this garden for a long time. I thought that perhaps the princess sent the wrong invitation, or perhaps the princess is currently too busy to approach my daughter. So I thought it best not to disturb her here."
Nan Wenhui scoffed, "If that's the case, then it's my fault?"
Mu Jin lowered her head neither humbly nor arrogantly and said, "This humble girl dares not!"
In fact, Mu Jin knew that since Nan Wenhui had sent out an invitation today, she could no longer pose a threat to her life.
It was nothing more than using some methods to embarrass her. She had a bad temper, but she wasn't intolerant, so she answered whatever Nan Wenhui asked her.
"You certainly have a sharp tongue," Lin Yueru sneered. "Otherwise, how could Brother Yi listen to whatever you say?"
Thinking of what happened at the princess's residence yesterday, a hint of murderous intent flashed in Lin Yueru's eyes.
You should know that in her generation, the Lin family only had one daughter. She was the most favored person in the Lin family since she was a child, and even outside, everyone had to be afraid of her.
Unexpectedly, Su Yi actually had Mu Jin, a divorced woman, thrown out of the princess's residence. The thought of losing face made Lin Yueru want to kill Mu Jin.

Nan Wenhui looked at Mu Jin and suddenly laughed, "Miss Mu, I was just joking with you."

After Nan Wenhui finished speaking, she said to a maid beside her, "Please give Miss Mu a seat."
Mu Jin smiled and thanked Nan Wenhui, then sat down on the stool brought up by the Lin family's maid.
"Miss Mu and Yi'er, how long have you known each other?" Nan Wenhui asked.
Mu Jin said, "It's been a year."
Upon hearing this, Lin Yueru laughed, her laughter carrying a hint of smugness and disdain.
Lin Yueru said, "Only a year? No wonder Brother Yi is still so infatuated with you. But you've only known each other for a year. Are you sure you understand Brother Yi?"
Mu Jin smiled: "Princess Yue Ru seems to know a lot about King Yi?"
