The oars slapped the water in unison. Suddenly, the huge boat rocked, and Mu Jin, caught off guard, swayed as well.
Su Yi quickly hugged her and said, "This river has many undercurrents and can be bumpy at times. Also, it's windy outside. Let's go inside and sit down."
Mu Jin could feel Su Yi's strong arms holding her, and suddenly remembered that Su Yi's back injury from two days ago was still quite serious.
"Is your injury healed?"
Su Yi smiled and said, "It's rare that A Jin still remembers the injuries on my body."
"Don't worry, there is a pharmacist on my ship who has already detoxified me and stitched up my wounds. It doesn't hurt much anymore."
Hearing Su Yi tease her, Mu Jin pushed Su Yi away, "Stop flattering yourself, who's worried about you?"
After Mu Jin finished speaking, she rolled her eyes at Su Yi and turned to walk towards her room.
Watching Mu Jin's departing figure, Su Yi chuckled softly.
In the evening, Su Yi heard from Qing'er that Mu Jin was seasick and had vomited up everything she had eaten.
Upon hearing this, Su Yi immediately led the pharmacist to Mu Jin's room.
As soon as Su Yi opened the door, he saw Mu Jin lying on the edge of the wooden tub by the bed, vomiting. It seemed that her seasickness was quite severe.
Mu Jin vomited bile, and felt completely weak, lying limply on the bed.
Su Yi quickly poured her a glass of water on the table and gave it to her to rinse her mouth. After rinsing her mouth, she frowned and glared angrily at Su Yi.
"Pull over and let me off the ship. Whoever wants to go to Southern Shu can go. I'm not going to keep you company..."
Seeing that Mu Jin was in pain, Su Yi felt pain as well. He patted her back while ordering people to quickly bring the boat to shore.
Su Yi frowned as he saw the pharmacist standing there blankly. "Come and take a look quickly. Why is he vomiting so badly?"
The pharmacist nodded quickly, stepped forward, gently placed his hand on Mu Jin's wrist, and began to take her pulse.
The pharmacist carefully took Mu Jin's pulse. At first, he didn't find anything, but later he noticed subtle changes in her pulse.
After a while, he finally pulled his fingers off Mu Jin's wrist, his expression unreadable.
"How is it?" Su Yi asked anxiously.
"I'd like to know what medicine Miss Mu could use before."
Qing'er quickly grabbed a bottle of medicated oil from the bedside and handed it to the pharmacist.
"This is a medicinal oil that Miss usually makes herself. It works well for mosquito bites, dizziness, and headaches. However, when I let Miss smell this medicinal oil today, it didn't help."
The pharmacist took the bottle of medicinal oil from Qing'er's hand and smelled it.
The medicated oil contains ingredients like peppermint, camphor, and eucalyptus oil, which are effective for treating mosquito bites, headaches caused by colds, and dizziness. However, for seasickness, this medicated oil alone might not be enough.
The pharmacist handed the medicated oil back to Qing'er and immediately reported back to Su Yi.
“Your Highness, Miss Mu does indeed suffer from seasickness. In addition, she may have been overworked recently, which has led to her physical weakness, hence the severity of her seasickness.”
"I will first prescribe some medicine to calm Miss Mu and relieve her dizziness. If this medicine is effective for Miss Mu, then she should be able to continue her journey by boat without any problems."
As he spoke, the pharmacist took out paper and pen from his medicine bag, quickly wrote down a prescription, and handed it to the apprentice pharmacist next to him to prepare the medicinal herbs for decoction.
Ling Yu then entered to report. "Master, for a hundred miles along this route, there are only those strange rocks and cliffs, making it impossible for the ship to dock. After passing this section, we'll be heading directly into the East China Sea. Unless we return the way we came, we'll have no choice but to..."
Ling Yu forced a smile and said, "We can only disembark at the Southern Shu Kingdom."
Su Yi frowned. After all, the journey back the way they came was much longer than going directly to the East China Sea. Once they reached the East China Sea, they would transfer to a larger ship there, where even the biggest storms wouldn't be too rough.
Now, all they can do is pray that the pharmacist's medicine will work for Mu Jin. Su Yi frowned as he continued to pat Mu Jin's back.
Mu Jin listened to the conversation between the master and servant, and felt like dying.
If the medicine prescribed by the pharmacist is ineffective for her, then she'll be vomiting all the way to the Southern Shu Kingdom. It would be better if Su Yi just knocked her unconscious.
Su Yi looked at Mu Jin apologetically: "It's all my fault. I didn't have someone prepare seasickness medicine for you before boarding the ship. Please wait a little longer. Master Huang's medical skills are superb. He can even cure my injuries, so he can definitely cure this seasickness."
As she spoke, Mu Jin pushed Su Yi away again and began to vomit into the wooden tub beside the bed. However, she had already vomited up all the food she had eaten, and now she was only vomiting water mixed with bile.
"Miss~" Qing'er, her eyes red, choked up as she tried to go forward to take care of Mu Jin, but Su Yi stopped her.
"I will take care of Ajin here. Your crying and sobbing will only make her feel worse. You don't need to take care of her here tonight."
Qing'er sniffled and said, "Then this servant will stop crying. Please, King Yi, allow this servant to stay here and take care of Miss."
Seeing that Mu Jin was unwell, Su Yi was already annoyed and had no patience to talk to Qing'er anymore, so he signaled Ling Yu to drag Qing'er away.
Su Yi turned to look at Mu Jin, who had just finished vomiting and was lying weakly on the bed. He felt both heartache and anxiety as he continued to call out to the outside.
"Hurry up and hurry up and expedite the preparation of the medicine."
Hearing this from outside, Ling Feng quickly accepted the order and turned to leave.
"Ah Jin, just bear with it a little longer. Once the pharmacist has brewed it, drink it. If it doesn't work, I'll use my lightness skill to carry you up that cliff and find a way out."
At this moment, Mu Jin didn't even have the energy to curse Su Yi or roll her eyes at him. She could only close her eyes, frown, and suppress her urge to vomit.
When Ling Yu returned, she was holding the medicine that the pharmacist had prepared. Su Yi quickly took the medicine, carefully helped Mu Jin up, and softly called out, "A Jin, get up and drink your medicine."
Mu Jin opened her eyes weakly and saw the medicine in Su Yi's hand, her heart churning again. But she still endured the discomfort and got up to drink the medicine.
After taking the medicine, Mu Jin felt better and lay down to rest again.
After a series of events, it was already past midnight. Su Yi hadn't eaten dinner and stayed by Mu Jin's side, silently watching her.
As soon as Mu Jin frowned even slightly, Su Yi would immediately step forward and pat her back until he saw that Mu Jin had fallen asleep peacefully. Only then did he rest by Mu Jin's bedside, half asleep and half awake.
The next morning, sunlight streamed through the window and fell on Mu Jin's face. She slowly opened her eyes, feeling exceptionally relaxed. She thought to herself, "This pharmacist is truly skilled; I must learn a thing or two from her someday."
But when she turned her head and saw Su Yi sleeping soundly beside her bed, her gaze paused, and a ripple of emotion stirred in her heart.
She had been vomiting all day yesterday and her stomach was empty. She gently lifted the quilt, wanting to get out of bed to find something to eat, but accidentally bumped into Su Yi.
Su Yi suddenly woke up and breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that Mu Jin's face showed no discomfort.
"Are you awake? How are you feeling? Are you hungry?" Su Yi asked with concern.
Mu Jin stared blankly at Su Yi's sleepy eyes for a moment, then finally smiled at him.
