Su Yuntian hadn't expected Su Yi to be so well hidden. When fighting him, Su Yi's moves were unpredictable, ruthless, and decisive. He managed to injure Su Yuntian in just a few dozen moves.
He knew that Su Yi's usual image as a good-for-nothing playboy was just an act.
Because Su Yuntian was stabbed in the thigh by Su Yi, the soldiers blocked Su Yuntian's way while surrounding Su Yi and Mu Jin.
Mu Jin peered through the crowd at Su Yuntian in the distance. Her eyes were like poison, making Su Yuntian and the surrounding soldiers' hearts skip a beat.
Su Yuntian had never seen Mu Jin like this before. Was this the same Mu Jin who was decisive and ruthless, who used to wait at the gate of the Prince's Mansion every day with a lantern, no matter how late it was, just to see him?
Such a woman is beyond Su Yuntian's reach, so how could Su Yi be worthy of her?
Su Yuntian shouted, "Bring me my bow and arrows!"
Su Yuntian drew his bowstring taut, then released it. As the arrow hurtled towards Mu Jin, Su Yi immediately spun around, embracing Mu Jin.
The arrow, aimed straight for Mu Jin's head, ultimately only severed the ribbon holding her hair up. In an instant, Mu Jin's black hair flowed down like water.
Su Yuntian was determined to kill Mu Jin.
Su Yuntian shouted at Mu Jin, "I said, if you stay and become my Princess Yun again, I will protect you and your Mu family. If you insist on leaving, then you can only die by my hand."
Mu Jin glared angrily at Su Yuntian: "You want me to be your queen? You should take a good look in the mirror! You're not worthy!"
Su Yi, standing to the side, grabbed Mu Jin's waist and looked at Su Yuntian with a roguish grin.
"Ah Jin is right, why don't you take a piss and look in the mirror? You don't even deserve to!"
Su Yuntian narrowed his eyes, his expression fierce. He wanted to see whether the two men in front of him were more eloquent or his arrows were more powerful.
Su Yuntian, bracing his injured leg, used his other uninjured foot to support his entire weight. He picked up the second bow, drew it to its full length, and the second arrow shot through the air once more.
No one in the audience could see the arrow that was flying out so fast, but they could all feel the pain caused by the friction of the arrow's energy on their bodies.
However, Su Yi's arrow was faster than Su Yuntian's. He tightly wrapped his arm around Mu Jin's waist, and the two bodies were pressed together without any gap.
Mu Jin's body spun around with Su Yi, one hand clinging to his neck. Su Yi then let out a loud whistle.
A black horse neighed like thunder piercing the night sky. Then, the horse's neighing grew louder as it approached.
As if summoned by its master, the black horse burst forth from some corner, neighing wildly and galloping with all four hooves. Its powerful leaps and bounds, its mane billowing in the wind, made it a magnificent sight, like a bolt of lightning that ripped through the sky, leaving behind a trail of thunderous hoofbeats that shook the earth.
Su Yi, carrying Mu Jin, leaped onto the horse's back, grabbed the reins, and fled.
With a soft "plop," Su Yi frowned and groaned as Su Yuntian's third arrow struck his back.
From the distant camp came Su Yuntian's furious shouts.
"Guards! Seize those two assassins ahead, dead or alive. Whoever captures them will be richly rewarded!"
Behind him, the officers and soldiers of Su Yuntian's camp rushed out excitedly.
Su Yi held Mu Jin tightly in his arms, spurred the horse on its back, and whipped the black horse, which galloped away into the night.
The night wind tossed Mu Jin's long hair, its strands brushing against Su Yi's face. The clatter of hooves on horseback echoed through the forest, drowning out the shouts of battle behind them.
Ling Feng and his group of secret guards were ordered to ambush less than half a mile outside Su Yuntian's camp.
Before Su Yi left, he said that they could not rush into Su Yuntian's camp without his orders.
So when they watched Su Yi and Mu Jin fighting in Su Yuntian's camp from afar, they could only wait anxiously.
It wasn't until Su Yi blew his whistle to summon his mount Yinglong that they saw Yinglong carrying Su Yi and Mu Jin out, and only then did they follow Su Yi away.
I don't know how long I ran. Until the light behind me grew fainter and fainter, and my figure grew smaller and smaller, and ahead lay endless darkness.
Yinglong continued running forward with all his might, leaving Lingfeng, Lingyu, and their group far behind.
Sitting in front, Mu Jin noticed that Su Yi seemed to be carrying his entire weight on her, and felt that something was wrong.
"Hey, are you alright? Want me to ride?"
Su Yi chuckled softly: "I never thought that Ah Jin would one day feel sorry for me like this."
Su Yi's words were broken and intermittent, as if each word had been spoken with all his might.
In the critical situation just now, Su Yi did not hesitate to protect Mu Jin in front of him.
At this moment, his voice suddenly sounded so strange. Mu Jin's heart skipped a beat, and she immediately grabbed the reins, forcefully stopping the galloping Yinglong.
Seeing that Mu Jin had stopped her horse, Su Yi tried to keep his voice steady and chuckled softly.
"Why are you stopping? Even if there's no sound of fighting behind us, they outnumber us, so it's best to be careful."
As they were talking, Su Yi suddenly felt that the wind in the mountains could be so cold at night that it made him feel chilly.
Gradually, he found that his body suddenly became numb and he lost consciousness.
Even simply holding Mu Jin tightly seemed difficult for him; he could only laboriously raise his hand and grasp Mu Jin's hand.
Mu Jin, who had stopped, could sense that something was wrong with Su Yi. She immediately turned around to look at Su Yi and saw that his face was as pale as paper.
She immediately dismounted and helped Su Yi down. She held Su Yi in her arms, and Su Yi collapsed onto Mu Jin as if all his strength had been drained.
