Chapter 116 Letters

The next morning

Jing Weiyang was awakened by the sound of footsteps.

She opened her eyes and realized it was already daylight.

"It's still early, you can continue sleeping. I'll be back to keep you company soon."

A deep, pleasant male voice suddenly rang out. She looked up and saw Shen Yu standing in front of the dressing mirror, adjusting his sleeves.

Jing Weiyang rubbed her eyes and asked in a soft, sweet voice:

Are you going out? Where are you going?

Shen Yu had already put on his watch, so he turned around and walked towards her:

"I received news that Nan Yu's grandmother was seriously ill and underwent surgery. I plan to go to the hospital to see her in person."

Shen Yu's words brought Jing Weiyang back to reality. Seeing that the man seemed to be about to leave, she grabbed his sleeve without thinking:

"I want to go too!"

Seeing her nervous expression, Shen Yu nodded thoughtfully, "Okay, let's go together then."

When Jing Weiyang arrived at the hospital, she learned that Grandma Nan had been ill for a long time. The surgery was performed yesterday afternoon, but the results were not good, and she was still in a coma.

She was unaware of Nan Yu's suicide attempt. The hospital had contacted her son, but he hadn't come.

The doctor left in a hurry after speaking, as there were still patients waiting, and he didn't have much time for idle chatter.

Looking at the frail old man lying unconscious on the intensive care unit, Jing Weiyang felt very heavy-hearted.

She has always been unable to bear such scenes; she would even cry when she saw elderly people suffering on television, let alone people she knew.

Shen Yu had been watching from the side, and noticing her unusual mood, he couldn't help but sigh and pull her into his arms.

"Didn't I tell you not to come?"

"I just wanted to come and see," Jing Weiyang buried her face in his chest, looking very downcast.

Shen Yu's heart softened, and he gently stroked her soft, long hair, appearing very tender and tolerant.

Jing Weiyang snuggled in Shen Yu's arms for a while longer, then smiled at him after calming down, "I feel much better now, let's go back."

Shen Yu responded and took her hand to leave.

Before leaving, Jing Weiyang couldn't help but take one last look at the old man on the hospital bed. She thought this must be the last time they would see each other.

She will never come to this hospital again.

The memories this place evoked in her were truly not good at all.

But to everyone's surprise, just as she was about to enter the elevator, a familiar yet unfamiliar voice suddenly called out to her:

"Miss Jing, wait a moment!"

Jing Weiyang paused, turning around in confusion.

She saw a young woman in white running towards her, and only when she got closer did she recognize her:

"You're the nurse who took care of Xiaoyu!"

"It's me!" The nurse smiled at her, then seemed to remember something, and the smile vanished, becoming somewhat forced.

"This is a letter that Xiaoyu asked me to keep for you. She said that if anything happened to her, she would ask me to give it to you."

As the nurse spoke, she handed over a thick envelope.

Before Jing Weiyang could react, a hand with distinct knuckles reached out and took the envelope.

The nurse looked up in confusion, and when she saw the person's face clearly, her eyes were filled with amazement:

My goodness, how can there be such a handsome man? He's even more handsome and refined than her Nanxun boyfriend!

And this outfit, it looks so understated yet luxurious and tasteful!

Just as the nurse was completely captivated by the handsome young man, a soft, sweet voice rang out from the side:

"What is this? Why did he leave it for me?"

She subconsciously looked up and saw an incomparably beautiful woman clinging to the arm of the handsome man beside her, looking at him with a slightly pouting and confused expression.

This scene is as beautiful as a fairy tale.

The nurse couldn't help but swallow, feeling a sense of déjà vu.
