Chapter 125 Cat Love Letter

Just as Jing Weiyang was losing control of her wild thoughts, a beautiful, snow-white cat appeared out of nowhere on the television, attracting the attention of almost everyone.

"princess~"

Ning Luoyao scooped up the beautiful cat and hugged it tightly, even nuzzling its face against hers affectionately, showing her complete love for her pet.

Even Jing Weiyang couldn't help but feel a hint of envy in her beautiful eyes when she saw it:

Although the cat's owner is annoying, the cat is innocent, cute, and I want to cuddle it!

Jing Weiyang picked up her water glass and took a sip of lemon juice to suppress the sorrow in her heart.

She's always wanted one, but Shen Yu is allergic to cat fur!

She even considered getting a divorce at one point; what kind of life is it without her cat? ;)

Thinking this, she couldn't help but glance at the cat on TV again, listening absentmindedly to the host's questions about the cat's origin.

Then Ning Luoyao hesitated for a moment before slowly speaking:

"It was given to me six months ago by someone who is very important to me,"

As she spoke, her eyes remained gently fixed on the cat in her arms, as if she were reminiscing about something through it.

Caught off guard, Jing Weiyang sensed a dangerous aura, because Ning Luoyao looked like a woman in love.

She picked up her glass, intending to suppress this strange feeling.

"A very, very important person...my first love."

"Pfft~"

Jing Weiyang nearly choked to death. She coughed violently, her eyes reddening and tears streaming down her face. She reached for a few tissues to wipe them away, but her gaze remained fixed on the female lead.

Ning Luoyao's first love, wasn't that Shen Yu?!

In an instant, Jing Weiyang seemed to see a thousand alpacas galloping wildly across the green grassland above her head...

She endured it, and then she endured it again.

Damn it, I can't take this anymore!

She took out her phone and dialed Shen Yu's number directly, wanting to give him a piece of her mind, but no one answered the phone.

She's infuriating!

Jing Weiyang angrily threw her phone aside, vowing in her heart that if Shen Yu didn't call her back within an hour, they were finished!

She doesn't want this husband anymore!

This time, watching the aloof cat grooming itself on TV again, she felt...

Where is the cuteness? Not cute at all! Hmph ╭(╯^╰)╮!

The scene shifts to a different location on TV, seemingly Ning Luoyao's collection room or something similar. Inside, there are trophies and certificates on display, as well as some beautiful Hanfu (traditional Han clothing), collectibles, and mostly photos of herself.

The host walked over, picked up a photo of Ning Luoyao's family of three, and subconsciously asked:

"Hey, where's your sister?"

Ning Luoyao visibly stiffened for a moment, and instead of answering the question, she said to the host, "You can take a look at this. It was given to me by the children at the first charity event I participated in."

The topic shift was very abrupt, giving the impression that the issue was being covered up.

Jing Weiyang felt something was wrong, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it.

She was eating an apple, but for some reason, she had been feeling hungry more often these past few days, as if she could never get enough to eat. If she kept eating like this, she was afraid she would really turn into a little piglet, so she decided to start controlling her diet and losing weight next week!

On TV, the host saw a large box and asked curiously, "Yaoyao, can I look at this?"

Ning Luoyao seemed slightly surprised, but still nodded: "Sure, these are some mementos from my adolescence..."

She opened the box as she spoke.

After seeing the contents, the host couldn't help but exclaim "Wow!"

"Wow, these are amazing..."

The host randomly picked out a letter: "A love letter you received when you were in school? May I see it?"

Ning Luoyao hesitated for a moment, then nodded: "Okay, but please don't broadcast it."

Her smile was gentle and elegant, and her snow-white dress made her look like a fairy.

“These are all people’s good wishes. I don’t want to hurt them, so I chose to accept them. I hope they can find their true love.”

Jing Weiyang chewed on her apple, unconvinced by her statement. Accepting something she didn't like felt like a sign of kindness, but rather a bit pretentious.

However, the host clearly didn't think so, and exclaimed enviously from the sidelines, "Yaoyao, you're so popular!"

"Hehe, what's that? I've carried all my love letters from childhood in my car, okay?"

Jing Weiyang rolled her eyes adorably, a hint of arrogance and smugness on her exquisitely beautiful face, until—

"Hey, this letter doesn't seem to be for you... This name..."

"This letter is unacceptable!"

Ning Luoyao, who always appeared gentle, blushed slightly on her fair face as she took the sky-blue envelope from the host. As the camera panned across the envelope, the character "沉" (chen, meaning sinking/sinking) could be faintly seen.

Jing Weiyang realized something and took the apple away from her mouth.

Sure enough, the next moment, Ning Luoyao's shy response came from the television:

"This letter was written to my first love, but for some reason I never got around to sending it..."

Jing Weiyang's face turned completely dark: Heh, she knew someone had ill intentions!

The host, unaware of the facts, expressed complete understanding upon hearing this:

"Is that such a pity?! Your first love had no idea what he was missing out on! That's so regrettable."

Ning Luoyao smiled delicately at the right moment: "It's okay, as long as he's happy, I don't care."

That makes her even more sympathetic.

Jing Weiyang wanted to laugh, but she couldn't. She couldn't bring herself to eat the half-eaten apple nestled in her palm.
