Chapter 145 I'm Here to Take You Home

Jing Weiyang woke up to the fierce roar of the man in her dream.

She opened her eyes and paused for a moment before her gaze slowly regained focus, but... where was she?

What greeted her eyes was an unfamiliar arrangement that evoked a strange sense of familiarity, as if she had seen it somewhere before.

Jing Weiyang got up, but as soon as she moved, a sharp pain shot through her wrist. She looked up and saw that her wrists were wrapped in white gauze. Both of her hands were covered in it.

She froze, so... the kidnapping in her dream was real?!

The blanket slipped off, revealing her pure white princess dress, and she froze again.

She hasn't touched that childish princess style since she was 16, okay?

Almost immediately, she knew that it wasn't Shen Yu who had saved her.

Jing Weiyang frowned, deciding to go outside to take a look, but soon she showed a troubled expression—

There were no shoes...

The door in front of her was ajar, and she could hear muffled voices coming from inside. Jing Weiyang hesitated for a moment before pushing the door open.

Then I saw a tall, slender figure standing against the light in front of the floor-to-ceiling window not far away.

She paused, a look of disbelief flashing in her eyes, and a form of address she hadn't heard in a long time almost slipped out—

The person seemed to sense something and suddenly turned around.

Jing Chenguang turned around and saw an incredibly beautiful girl standing in the doorway.

Her long, waterfall-like hair cascaded down her back, further accentuating her delicate and slender figure, making her look just like an innocent little princess from a fairy tale.

He gave her a warm and gentle smile and walked towards her.

Jing Weiyang stood frozen in place, as if she were in a dream.

How could this be? How could her brother be here? Could the person she saw before she lost consciousness be...?

While her thoughts were in disarray, the man had already come to her side.

Jing Chenguang reached out and gently stroked her soft, long hair, asking softly, "Are you awake?"

Jing Weiyang frowned, looking at him as if he were a monster.

Jing Chenguang didn't mind, and chuckled as he pinched her cheek: "Why are you still spacing out? Aren't you happy to see your brother?"

These words finally elicited a response from Jing Weiyang. She opened her lips to say something, but then saw a flash of displeasure in the man's eyes:

Why aren't you wearing shoes when you go out?

Before he finished speaking, he bent down and picked the person up in his arms.

Jing Weiyang only had time to let out a short scream before she fell into the man's arms. She whispered "Brother," her beautiful eyes filled with a hint of panic.

Jing Chenguang smiled down at her, his eyes warm and understanding: "Are you hungry? Let's go downstairs to eat."

After saying that, he actually picked her up and walked downstairs, his attitude familiar and natural, as if they had never been apart.

Jing Weiyang stared blankly at the exquisite profile so close to her, and vaguely felt that the person in front of her was still the gentle older brother she knew when she was 16.

-

Seeing all her favorite dishes on the table, Jing Weiyang was once again certain that this older brother was probably real.

She was wearing a pair of fluffy bunny slippers, which the maid had brought over; they were her favorite style.

"This is what you like,"

"this,"

"And this too,"

"Eat more,"

Jing Chenguang didn't eat any himself, but kept putting food on Jing Weiyang's plate, gently coaxing her to eat more and more.

"That's enough, I can't eat anymore!"

Jing Weiyang tried to stop him, but the man seemed not to hear her. Seeing that the last "clean" spot in her bowl was being taken, she finally slammed the bowl on the table in anger and exclaimed, "I'm not eating!"

"Pfft~" Jing Chenguang suddenly laughed out loud, "Still so willful, you can't mess with him at all."

He looked at her with a smile, his eyes gentle yet teasing.

Jing Weiyang felt embarrassed by the stares, but still whispered in defense of herself, "I really can't eat anymore."

“Yes, I know,” Jing Chenguang reached out and pinched her soft cheek, earning a disgruntled glare from the girl: “Brother,”

Her coquettish glare seemed like a pout, which made his heart pound.

But he still pretended to be calm and took most of the food from her bowl, laughing at her:

"You little rascal, can you eat now?"

Jing Weiyang glared at him angrily before lowering her head to eat.

Jing Chenguang didn't eat. He watched the girl in front of him eat seriously, as if he were looking at a treasure he had lost and found again. The tenderness in his eyes was almost overflowing.

It's so good that you're finally back with me.

However, this warm and beautiful moment didn't last long. After quickly eating something to fill her stomach, Jing Weiyang put down her chopsticks, her clear, spring-like eyes gazing at the handsome man before her, and asked the question that had been troubling her since earlier:

"Brother, why are you here?"

Jing Chenguang paused in his act of picking up food, slowly put down his chopsticks, looked up at her, but did not answer her question. Instead, he said, "Xiao Yang, I'll take you back."
