Chapter 29 Hunting

Her heart seemed to have unknowingly strayed.

Shen Yu's gentleness gave Jing Weiyang the illusion that they were in a relationship, that he was spoiling her and that she was unconsciously starting to depend on him.

Even when she occasionally throws a tantrum, his gaze only makes her blush with shyness, not anger.

This unfamiliar Shen Yu both intrigued Jing Weiyang and made her want to get closer.

Even though she knew it might be a big trap, this silly rabbit still couldn't resist getting closer and closer to see what he was up to.

Shen Yu is like a superb hunter, never saying much, but patiently waiting for his long-coveted prey to take the bait.

The silly rabbit, Yang, who was being pampered by the male protagonist, suddenly had a brilliant idea when she saw a TV commercial one day. She thought she had found a good way and began to swagger around the man's territory with her little tail wagging.

"Honey, didn't you say before that you would give me anything I wanted?"

"Um,"

Shen Yu continued reading the documents in his hand without even looking up.

"Then..." Jing Weiyang paused for a moment, "would you like to give me a star?"

Shen Yu's long, slender fingers, which had been swiping across the tablet, finally paused. He looked up slightly and saw his silly wife looking at him with a smug "You didn't expect that, did you?" expression, which made him want to say "Damn it!"

Then he put down the tablet, smiled slightly at her, and said, "Okay, here you go."

Jing Weiyang burst out laughing upon hearing this: "Haha, I knew you couldn't do it, I..." Wait, what did he say?

Time flew by, and Jing Weiyang gradually got used to the "strange" male lead and her "happy" married life.

Just when she was about to forget that she had transmigrated into a book, a critical condition call from the hospital was like a bucket of cold water, bringing her mind, which had been swayed by the male lead's pampering, back to reality.

When the hospital called, she was having dinner with Shen Yu. The dishes tonight were cooked by Shen Yu himself, and they were delicious and beautifully presented, guaranteed to be master-level cooking.

Jing Weiyang ate with a smile on her face, all the while showering the man with compliments:

"Honey, your cooking is the best! Even better than a professional chef's! I love your cooking the most!"

Shen Yu smiled back at her: "When will the baby cook a meal for her husband?"

Jing Weiyang blinked: "Do you want to eat it?"

Shen Yu's eyes flickered slightly as he recalled the scene from last month when someone impulsively offered to help, nearly burning down the kitchen and cutting off his own finger.

He looked up: "I was just kidding."

Jing Weiyang: "Oh."

I can't handle you?

Hehehe.

Anyway, I don't know when it started, but Shen Yu started calling her "Baby" instead of Xiao Yang.

Baby, baby, baby… At first she desperately refused, but later, she couldn't beat him, so what could she do but accept it? :)

However, in order to maintain her last shred of dignity, Jing Weiyang strictly forbade anyone to shout when a second person was present, otherwise she would fight him to the death!

Mr. Shen's opinion on this was simply to smile.

The hospital called at that moment, and when she heard who it was, Jing Weiyang suddenly stood up: "How could this happen?"

"What's wrong?"

Facing Shen Yu's deep eyes, Jing Weiyang instinctively lied for some reason: "No, nothing, it's Zhi Zi on the phone, I'll go answer it."

In her panic, she finished speaking and, not daring to look into Shen Yu's eyes, hurriedly left.

And so she missed the man's gaze, which had hardened like a blade, carrying a chilling edge.
