Ye Moxun ultimately did not go with them. If he had gone with his uncle, Song Tantan would not have been able to secretly put the wolves and pythons in the space into the trap.
"Luckily, the branches we put in earlier were sturdy enough that they didn't collapse." When they arrived at the trap, Song Tantan and her aunt lifted the thick snow, branches, and dry grass on top, and then put the wolves and python inside.
After being kept in the supermarket for several months, these wolves remained exactly the same as when they were first taken in; they hadn't lost a single ounce of weight, except that they were a little mentally impaired.
The wolf, which had been howling fiercely, was now released with its eyes crossed, looking like a dazed husky, shaking its head and wagging its tail vigorously, whimpering softly.
The giant python writhed its massive body clumsily, raising its head in slow motion and visibly swallowing its tongue, posing no threat whatsoever.
"Tsk, what a mess. If I were a villain, anyone who offended me would be confined to my spatial dimension for a while, and they'd come out as idiots." Song Tantan was both surprised and deeply moved.
Song Zhuiyan poked her forehead and scolded with a laugh, "Don't let anyone into the supermarket. We can't do anything to harm people."
"The other part, we can't let anyone in from our hometown either, they'll die." Song Tantan stuck out her tongue and shivered. Both parts of her space were like hellish battlefields, and no one but herself could touch them.
This has its pros and cons. The good thing is that even if she encounters a lot of bad people or ferocious beasts one day, as long as she puts them into her space, they will either become stupid or die. Who would dare to mess with her?
The downside is that when danger strikes, she can't bring the people she wants to protect into the space for safety; she can only hide inside herself.
"Alright, go and call the men over, and quickly divide these wolves among yourselves." Song Zhuiyan stood up, preparing to go back and call for help.
As soon as she stood up, she saw several people wrapped up like dumplings walking towards her in the distance, calling out as they walked: "Miss Song, how is it? Is there anything in the trap?"
The person who spoke was Lin Fuhai, along with two other villagers surnamed Lin, and Zhong Qingyi was among them.
After Song Zhuiyan recognized the people who came, she raised her voice and said, "Come and help us! There's so much prey! We'll all have meat to eat today!"
Zhong Qingyi chuckled softly. Just now at home, A-Xun had been urging him to come out and check if there were any prey around the trap, and if so, to quickly share some meat with them.
He thought it was impossible for any prey to come out in such freezing weather, but Ah Xun insisted that he come out, so he had no choice but to go out for a stroll. When he passed by Lin Fuhai's house, he mentioned it to them, and then the group of them came out together.
Unexpectedly, there was actually prey. It seemed like they were lucky. The group, who had been walking slowly, immediately quickened their pace and trudged over, one step at a time.
"What good stuff is it?" Lin Fuhai asked impatiently as he approached the trap.
“A pack of wolves,” Song Tantan replied with a smile, blinking her large, clear eyes.
Wolf?
The burly men's expressions turned serious, their previously chuckling faces immediately becoming wary. They looked around, rummaged through the snow for a while, found a sizable wooden stick, and gripped it in their hands, ready to fight at any moment.
Song Tantan and Song Zhuiyan: "..." Actually, there's no need for that. These wolves have become like stupid dogs and won't attack people on their own initiative.
"Miss Song, Tantan, how could you get so close to the trap? Come over and stand back, it's dangerous." Zhong Qingyi habitually carries his sword with him when he goes out. At this moment, the sword was already drawn and he was holding it in his hand. He leaped over and protected Song Tantan and Song Zhuiyan behind him.
They were pushed backward, their legs sinking into the snow, their upper bodies tilting backward, while their lower bodies remained motionless.
Zhong Qingyi: "..."
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to." Zhong Qingyi pulled them out of the snow, and the two of them stood on the skateboard after getting up.
"What is this?" Zhong Qingyi asked, looking at the skateboards they were standing on.
"With a skateboard, your feet won't sink into the snow, and you can walk faster," Song Tantan said with a smile.
No wonder they didn't see any footprints when they came. They thought the snow was too heavy and covered the footprints. They didn't expect that they came out by stepping on planks.
"Let's not study the board for now, we'll talk about the board later. Let's divide the wolves first."
Did you hear that? Divide the wolves up first.
Several grown men nodded blankly, then peered into the wolf pack trapped inside. What they saw shocked them even more – nearly twenty wolves, plus a large python.
In this freezing weather, wouldn't a python prefer to hibernate? Why does it have to come out and risk its life? Is this the season for snakes to come out?
Can anyone explain where this python came from?
Zhong Qingyi voiced her question first, "It's so cold, it's normal for snakes to get stunned, but why does this wolf look like it's gone mad too?"
Everyone nodded in agreement; they thought so too.
"...That's beyond our knowledge. My aunt and I just arrived too," Song Tantan said innocently.
"I reckon these wolves must have been attacked by a terrifying, enormous beast before, and they were so scared that they fled in panic. But by sheer coincidence, they ended up in the trap," Song Zhuiyan told a story without any expression.
Zhong Qingyi pointed to the neatly stacked branches beside her and asked in a low voice, "Who moved these?"
“It’s me and Tantan.” Song Zhuiyan replied naturally, but she was stunned as soon as she finished speaking, and her heart skipped a beat.
What the hell happened? Something terrible has happened.
Sure enough, "Did you move the branches away before the wolves jumped into the trap?"
Why do you have to pay attention to these details? Wouldn't it be better to just divide the wolf's meat among yourself? Song Zhuiyan roared inwardly, but on the surface she became increasingly calm.
