Chapter Ninety-Five: Searching

"Why haven't they come back yet? I hope something happened to them?" Song Tantan ate a fried chicken leg she had taken out of the supermarket while peeking cautiously in the direction they had left.

"It's unlikely. My uncle and Aunt Song both carry a lot of medicine with them. If they encounter a large beast, they can just sprinkle the medicine powder on it. They both know martial arts, so the chances of something going wrong are extremely small." But we can't be too absolute.

Half an hour later, Zhong Qingyi and Song Zhuiyan finally returned. Upon closer inspection, the two looked rather disheveled, with their hair and clothes in disarray, as if they had just returned from a hunting trip.

"What happened?" Song Tantan stood up to help her aunt.

"I'm fine. I wasn't paying attention on the way back and stepped on the python's tail, so we started fighting." Song Zhuiyan's expression was indescribable. She had accidentally stepped on the snake's tail, and when the python turned around, it bit Zhong Qingyi.

Perhaps, Zhong Qingyi was standing too close to her at the time, so the python mistook her for the person who attacked it. Fortunately, Zhong Qingyi was skilled in martial arts and reacted quickly, leading her away from the python's gaping maw that was about to swallow her.

They brought with them medicine specially developed by Ye Moxun to deal with snakes and insects, which should have easily killed the python. However, the incident happened too suddenly, and they didn't have time to react. After being entangled by the python for a quarter of an hour, when the two of them were almost suffocating, Zhong Qingyi finally sprinkled the medicine powder.

The python collapsed to the ground, exhausted. They dared not use a knife to cut it, fearing the smell of blood would attract other animals. Instead, they used vines to strangle the python to death. It took a lot of effort and they were exhausted. How could they not be in a sorry state?

"Why not just poison it to death? Why strangle it? Where? By the snake's neck?" Ye Moxun was speechless.

“It’s the seven-inch mark! We’re not thinking this meat is edible; if we poison it, the meat will be wasted,” Song Zhuiyan said matter-of-factly.

"Unfortunately, it was too dark and the road was difficult to travel, so we were unable to bring them back." The main concern was that something might happen to the two children if they were left unattended, so we rushed back.

"It's no pity, don't overthink it." Song Zhuiyan had already sat down and started roasting the rabbit meat, her eyes slightly upturned, clearly in a good mood.

Song Tantan and Ye Moxun exchanged a smile. It seemed that their aunt had put the python into her spatial storage. However, the things she put into her spatial storage didn't keep very fresh and couldn't be kept for long. They would have to transfer it to the supermarket when they had time.
