Chapter Seventy-Two: Aunt's Space?

Song Zhuiyan fainted unexpectedly. Zhong Qingyi was stunned for a moment, but when he saw her vomiting blood, he immediately calmed himself down, raised his sword, and leaped up to stab the black bear in a vital spot until he killed it.

At this point, he didn't care about bringing the prey back. He picked up Song Zhuiyan and ran back. If they hadn't been blocked by the black bear, they could have made it home before dark. But this delay meant it was already the next morning.

After Ye Moxun took Song Zhuiyan's pulse, well, he wasn't actually very good at taking pulses, he was just a novice, and it took him a long time to be sure, "She just suffered some internal injuries, it's not too serious."

"Why hasn't Auntie woken up yet? And her face is so pale. Take a closer look, is there any other injury? It looks very serious." Song Tantan's tears fell in quick succession, her voice trembling with sobs.

It wasn't that he was being self-deprecating, but he really was just a mediocre doctor. He could only diagnose this one condition, and it would be difficult for him to figure out anything else.

However, when Ye Moxun saw Song Tan's unprecedented expression of heartbreak and helplessness, he nodded and said in a low voice, "I'll take another look."

Upon closer inspection, the result was the same as before. However, he remained silent, frowning as he touched Song Zhuiyan's pulse, pretending to make a serious diagnosis.

"Do you even know how to diagnose? How come you haven't been able to figure it out after all this time?" Song Tantan was annoyed that he had been sitting there taking pulses without saying a word for so long, and she spoke without thinking.

Ye Moxun took a deep breath. Didn't she know his level better than anyone else? Who was it that brought him medical books and asked him to study medicine? He taught himself based on theoretical knowledge. Who could guarantee what level he had reached in just half a year?

When the two couldn't help but start arguing, Song Zhuiyan's eyelids twitched, as if she was about to wake up. It was Zhong Qingyi, who had been paying attention to her, who noticed the abnormality.

"Stop arguing, be quiet. Miss Song seems to have woken up." Zhong Qingyi coldly interrupted the two arguing.

"Auntie, Auntie," Song Tantan called repeatedly as she lay on the edge of the bed.

"Cough cough... Pfft." After opening her eyes, Song Zhuiyan couldn't help but spit out a mouthful of dark red blood. Because she was lying down, the blood was spit onto the quilt, and the room instantly smelled of blood.

"Auntie."

"Aunt Song".

"Miss Song."

The three people gasped in unison and gathered around the bed, looking at her with concern.

"Cough, no...it's nothing. Give me some medicine to treat my internal injuries, and...bring me some food. I'm starving, I'm starving to death." Song Zhuiyan finished speaking intermittently, then closed her eyes and stopped talking.

"Auntie, where are you feeling unwell? You scared me to death!" Song Tantan cried for a while, and seeing that her aunt just waved her hand and didn't have the strength to speak, she ran into the kitchen to cook.

Just as he was about to grab a chicken from his spatial storage, Zhong Qingyi came over and said, "Tantan, go keep your aunt company. I'll cook."

"Your aunt might not be able to eat rice, could you make her some porridge?" After thinking about it, she decided against asking him to add meat, figuring her aunt probably wouldn't be able to eat anything else anyway.

After eating the porridge, Song Zhuiyan fell asleep again. Zhong Qingyi thought for a moment and decided to go to Lin Fuhai and ask him to arrange for about ten strong men to go into the deep mountains to carry the bear back. There were also many other prey, and it would be a pity to throw them away. Miss Song's injuries would have been for nothing.

"Can we get back before dark if we go now?" Lin Fuhai frowned, somewhat worried. "The bear has been stabbed so many times, it must have lost a lot of blood. What if it attracts other wild animals? What if there's a pack of wolves?"

"I really can't guarantee that," Zhong Qingyi said, lowering her eyes. "It was my oversight. Don't call anyone. I'll go by myself."

"Young Master Zhong, it would be best to be careful. Just bring back some small prey. A bear is so big..." Lin Fuhai wanted to advise him not to go either, but when he met his cold and deep eyes, he didn't say the rest.

Upon learning that Zhong Qingyi was going back to the deep mountains to retrieve the prey, Ye Moxun pondered for a moment, then handed him several packets of powder. "These two packets contain deadly poison. If you encounter a ferocious beast that you cannot handle, sprinkle this powder on the beast's face. Whether it is inhaled through the nose or gets into the eyes, it will kill it instantly."

This thing is too domineering and insidious; he hopes his uncle won't need it.

"These three packets of powder have an anesthetic effect. As long as they are sprinkled on, even the largest beasts will fall unconscious within a few breaths. Uncle, please take them. This way, I won't have to worry about your safety." Ye Moxun said solemnly.

"Ah Xun, when did you learn how to make poisons?" Zhong Qingyi had mixed feelings, unsure whether to be pleased or worried.

"This is also a medical skill, Uncle, you don't need to worry. While developing the poison, I also made the antidote. I have been weak and sickly since childhood. If I didn't have a skill to rely on, I wouldn't live long in this chaotic world." Ye Moxun smiled faintly.

After a soft sigh, Zhong Qingyi felt relieved. A-Xun only made the poison for self-defense, not to harm anyone. There was nothing to worry about. She should trust A-Xun; he was always sensible and knew his limits, and he was kind by nature.

Watching Zhong Qingyi's departing figure, Ye Moxun slowly curled his lips. He didn't consider himself a kind person, but he had his bottom line. Unless forced into a corner, he would not intentionally harm someone.

Song Tantan was unaware of the poison's development. It wasn't that he intentionally wanted to hide it from her, but rather that he felt it wasn't important whether he told her or not. His purpose in developing the poison was simply for self-defense, and he had no other intentions.

Moreover, he felt that Song Tantan was not interested in drug manufacturing.

After Zhong Qingyi left, Ye Moxun came over to stay with Song Tantan and also ate lunch with her. While the two were having lunch, Song Zhuiyan woke up again.

They were eating in the main room when they heard Song Zhuiyan call out to Song Tantan, and that's when they realized she was awake.
