Chapter Thirteen Continuous Rainfall

Fifteen minutes later, Song Zhuiyan brought Song Tantan to Ye Moxun's room and handed a packet of medicine to Zhong Qingyi, asking him to decoct the medicine. Zhong Qingyi took the medicine without hesitation and went to the kitchen.

After sending everyone away, Song Tantan immediately took out a fever reducer from her spatial storage and handed it to Song Zhuiyan, who then fed it to Ye Moxun. After feeding him the medicine, she took a thermometer to measure his temperature.

"38.9 degrees Celsius, that's serious. I hope his brain isn't damaged by the fever?" Song Tantan held the thermometer, looking at the temperature displayed on it, and couldn't help but feel worried.

"Get some alcohol out, I'll wipe his body. If that doesn't bring down the fever, then there's nothing we can do." Song Zhuiyan shook her head. The packet of medicine she gave Zhong Qingyi was also fever reducer. She would then force-feed it to Ye Moxun. He had tried both Chinese and Western medicine. If he still couldn't hold on, then it was his fate.

Fortunately, after half an hour, Ye Moxun's body temperature gradually subsided. Song Zhuiyan then called Zhong Qingyi out to boil water and took the opportunity to check Ye Moxun's temperature, which had returned to normal.

"Finally I can go back to sleep, I'm so sleepy," Song Tantan stretched and her eyelids started to droop. She whispered in Ye Moxun's ear.

“I told you not to come, but you insisted on helping. You said it would be more convincing if you went too, so that others wouldn’t be suspicious. In the end, you carried ten pounds of rice, got caught in the rain, and almost died. We’re doing a good deed, delivering food to everyone. There’s no need to risk your life like that.”

Ye Moxun rarely goes out. Before, when Zhong Qingyi was in a coma, he stayed at home and dared not go far. Later, when Zhong Qingyi's injuries gradually recovered and she was able to walk, Ye Moxun still rarely went out.

Last night, however, he volunteered to go with them to get the food, and this is how it ended up.

Although Song Tantan spoke very softly, Song Zhuiyan still heard her. She chuckled and said, "Mo Xun meant well. If he goes to rob the grain with us, it will definitely convince everyone. It's a famine year now. Who wouldn't have their eyes light up at the sight of grain? If he remains indifferent, wouldn't people become suspicious?"

"I'm not blaming him, but I'm never taking him with me again if anything happens next time." Song Tantan said this in a loud voice, as if she was deliberately saying it to someone.

Whether Ye Moxun heard it or not, she turned around and went back to her room to catch up on sleep. The rain hadn't stopped, so it was the perfect time for a good night's rest.

"Miss Song, you've all worked hard. You should go back to sleep too. I'll keep an eye on Mo Xun." To avoid suspicion, Zhong Qingyi had been waiting outside until Ye Mo Xun's fever subsided before coming in.

Song Zhuiyan didn't stand on ceremony and immediately stood up, "Alright, I'll go back first."

When she returned to her room, Song Tantan was already asleep, snore sweetly while hugging her blanket. What a little pig!

It seemed that even the heavens knew it had been too long since it rained. This rain, three years overdue, suddenly stopped and poured down for seven days straight.

All the houses in the village were leaking. We don’t know what the situation was like in other people’s homes. On the third day, even the best house in the village where Song Tantan and the others were staying was leaking. Water was everywhere inside, and they couldn’t even sleep.

Song Tantan took a yurt from the supermarket and gave it to Song Zhuiyan. She put the yurt directly on the bed and set it up. She also gave Ye Moxun and Zhong Qingyi a large plastic sheet and was about to hide in her space.

"Can't you take me in? Or give me a yurt, that would be fine too. What good is this plastic sheet?" Ye Moxun gripped her chubby little hand tightly, looking at the plastic sheet with obvious disdain.

"My space is divided into two parts. One is a supermarket, where time is frozen. If you were put inside, you would lose consciousness and stay there like a puppet. The other is my hometown, which has mountains, a stream at the foot of the mountains, and a pig farm not far from the stream."

Next to the pig farm are several acres of land, and then my house. My bed is very comfortable, but I can't bring any living creatures inside.

Ye Moxun knew from the beginning that she had a space, but this was the first time he had learned the specifics of the space.

"You mean you can bring mission items into the supermarket, but not back home?"

"It's not impossible. In the space here in my hometown, any living creatures brought in will immediately turn into dead creatures. If you bring one into the supermarket, it will cause it to lose consciousness, but it can return to normal after being released. However, the memory of entering the supermarket will be blank, and you won't even know that you were in there. There may also be some aftereffects."

Song Tantan only discovered the strangeness of the space a few days ago. That day, she took a chicken into the supermarket to choose ingredients, and when she came out, the chicken was dazed, as if it had been possessed. She noticed the chicken's abnormality at the time and wondered why she didn't kill it.

Over the next few days, she observed the chicken's reaction and found that after a few days, the chicken slowly recovered, but its reaction was noticeably slower than that of the other chickens.

"You concluded that the space has this defect based on an experiment with just one chicken? How can you be sure that the chicken wasn't already slow to react? Have you been watching that chicken for a long time?" Ye Moxun's tone was calm, but the meaning behind his words sounded very strange.

“You’ve been watching that chicken for a long time now, your whole family has been watching that chicken. Since you’re so curious, I’ll let you go in and try it out. You’ll be responsible for whatever happens when you come out.” Song Tantan puffed out her cheeks and grabbed him, trying to drag him to the supermarket.

Ye Moxun's expression changed, and he tried to pull his hand away from the other person's grasp, but Song Tantan was small but strong, and no matter how hard he struggled, it was to no avail.

"Let go, I won't enter your space, I trust you, I trust you, okay?" Ye Moxun's eyes flashed with panic, but he forced himself to remain calm.

"No, you don't believe me. You won't learn until you see the coffin. If I don't let you experience it for yourself, you'll still argue with me next time. I have to prove it to you and convince you." Song Tantan's soft little hands held immense strength as she tightly gripped Ye Moxun's two slender fingers.

"Host, whatever you do, don't enter her space. Song Tantan's space is divided into two parts. If you go into the supermarket part and come out, your IQ will drop several degrees. If you go into the hometown part, living things will turn into dead things. Only she can freely enter the space. If anyone else goes in, they will suffer a backlash." The system anxiously spoke up after the fact.

The host's body is inherently weak, and only its brain is functioning properly. If even its brain becomes dull, then this system will probably lose consciousness and become completely useless.

"Heh, if I could, I'd like to throw you in. Song Tantan has already said everything, do I need you to remind me? You're just a superfluous existence, what use are you to me?" Ye Moxun mentally cursed the system's ancestors for eighteen generations.

System: Waaah, it should just keep playing dead, why did it have to come out and cause trouble?

"Give me an umbrella, I don't want to be covered by a plastic film." Ye Moxun was still bargaining.

“I don’t have any paper umbrellas in my space. If I take out other umbrellas, your uncle will get suspicious,” Song Tantan said, still holding his fingers tightly. “No, why should I give you an umbrella? I’m taking you into my space.”

Song Zhuiyan watched the whole thing from the side and was amused by the two children. Tears welled up in her eyes. Just then, a torrential downpour hit Ye Moxun on the head. Song Zhuiyan couldn't bear it and pulled him into the yurt.
