Chapter 38 Initiative

After leaving Grandma Han's room, Xiaoman went back inside to read.

Han Bin sat down next to Xiaoman: "What are you looking at?"

Xiaoman ignored him.

Han Bin leaned over and took a look: "Are you reading a medical book?"

"Shut up."

Han Bin knew that Xiaoman didn't have feelings for him yet. "Xiaoman, I'll come back for you as soon as the military region is built."

Xiaoman didn't say anything.

Soon, Han Bin fell asleep next to Xiao Man.

At noon, after Tian Dahua finished cooking, she asked Da Ni to call everyone to eat. Da Ni called out "Lunch is ready!" from the yard and ran to Xiaoman's house: "Second Aunt, lunch is ready!"

"Okay." Xiaoman nudged Han Bin: "Get up and eat."

Han Bin stretched and asked, "Is it noon?"

"Um."

Da Ni: "Second Uncle, hurry up."

"good."

The Han family had a large table. When Xiaoman and Han Bin brought Da Ni out, everyone else was already seated. Da Ni quickly glanced at the table and was relieved to see the chicken leg was still there.

After Xiaoman sat down, Dani sat down next to her with her bowl in her arms: "Second Aunt."

"good."

Xiaoman brought the chicken back. She then said she would give Dabao one chicken leg and Dani two. The others didn't dare touch it.

Xiaoman first put a chicken leg on Grandma Han's plate. Grandma Han thought to herself: Not bad, she knows how to respect the elderly.

Da Bao also ran over, carrying his own bowl: "Second Aunt."

"Mmm." Xiaoman first put two chicken legs on Da Ni's plate.

Da Ni: "Thank you, Second Aunt."

"good."

Xiaoman put the last chicken leg into Dabao's bowl.

Da Bao: "Thank you, Second Aunt."

"good."

Tian Dahua looked at Xiaoman and then at Dabao. Her son hadn't made a fuss at all? He even thanked Wang Xiaoman? This... this Wang Xiaoman is too amazing! Her son has never been this well-behaved in front of her.

In her excitement, Tian Dahua blurted out, "Da Ni, give that chicken leg to your brother." She immediately regretted it. She was afraid that Xiaoman would get angry and stop bringing chickens home, leaving her son without even chicken feet. "I...I..."

Da Ni looked at her mother, then at the chicken leg, hesitant to give it up but afraid of being beaten by her mother. Finally, Da Ni looked at Da Bao and asked, "Do you want my chicken leg?"

Da Bao looked at Xiao Man.

Xiaoman ignored him.

Da Bao thought for a moment. The chicken was brought back by his second aunt, who said he could only eat one chicken leg this time. "No. If I behave well next time, second aunt, give me two."

Xiaoman patted Dabao's head: "Good boy."

Da Ni: "Brother, you're so kind."

"hey-hey……"

Han Gui glared at Tian Dahua. If it weren't for Xiao Hei's intelligence, who knows what would have happened to his son?

Tian Dahua quickly lowered her head and ate her food, no longer daring to speak.

After finishing her meal, Xiaoman told Hanbin that she was going out for a while.

Where are you going?

Xiaoman ignored him.

"I'll go with you."

Xiaoman looked at Han Bin's legs: "Are your legs not weak anymore?"

Han Bin's face flushed red instantly. "I...I...I'll go with you." Han Bin pulled Xiaoman out, calling out to Tang Huihui's room as they walked, "Mom, Xiaoman and I are going out for a bit."

Xiao Hei followed.

After leaving the house, Han Bin looked at Xiao Man and asked, "Where are you going?"

Xiaoman pointed to the distant mountains. "You should go back."

"I can walk."

"what ever."

Xiaoman walked very fast on the way. Han Bin had to jog to keep up. "Xiaoman, why are you walking so fast?"

"If you can't keep up, go back."

"Keep up, keep up. Hehe..."

Once they reached the top of the mountain, Han Bin found a stone and wiped it clean: "Xiaoman, come and sit down."

"No need. If you're tired, just rest here. I'll go inside and catch a deer."

"I'll go with you."

"No need, I'll be out in a bit."

Han Bin thought to himself: How could it possibly come out in a little while? A deer won't just stand there and let you catch it. "I'm worried about you going alone."

"what ever."

After a while, Han Bin stared at the deer on the ground, speechless for a long time. "How did you know there was a deer here?"

“I know this mountain inside and out.”

Knowing it like the back of your hand? How many times has this happened? "Don't go into the mountains alone again, okay?"

Little Black barked a few times: I will protect my master.

Xiaoman stroked Xiaohei's fur. "Let's go."

"Please don't go into the mountains alone again, okay?"

Xiaoman carried the deer and headed down the mountain.

Han Bin snatched the deer away: "Don't go into the mountains alone in the future, okay?"

"Shut up."

"I...I'm worried about you."

Xiaoman looked at Han Bin: "You should worry about yourself."

Han Bin's face turned red again: "Xiao... Xiaoman, could you be a little gentler with me tonight? My mother thinks we've been fighting."

Xiaoman smiled at Han Bin and said, "Okay."

Han Bin: "Xiaoman, you're so good to me."

Xiao Hei glanced at Han Bin, thinking: "Silly boy, you can tell from your master's expression that you're not having a good night."

"Xiaoman, where are we going?"

"The county."

Han Bin looked at the antlers on the deer's head.

If it weren't for Commander Wang and Regiment Commander Guo, he might have taken a year or two to realize he liked Xiaoman. By then, Xiaoman would already belong to someone else.

Han Bin wanted to give Commander Wang and Regiment Commander Guo something, but he didn't know what to give them. Seeing a deer, Han Bin thought of giving them two antlers: "Xiaoman, could I have these two antlers? I want to give them away."

"Okay," Xiaoman agreed without hesitation. In her eyes, two deer antlers were about the same as two eggs, or even less valuable. When there was nothing to eat, eggs could be eaten directly. Deer antlers? You try eating two?

If Xiaoman knew who he was going to give it to, and why he was giving it to, she probably wouldn't give it to him even if she threw it away.

"Xiaoman, you are so kind."

When the deer collector heard that Han Bin wanted to give away the deer antlers, he said he could process them for him and that he could come back in a few days to pick them up. He also told him that although deer antlers were a valuable commodity, not everyone could eat them. He should consult a doctor before consuming them.

That evening, Han Bin brought in the foot bath water early: "Xiaoman, let me wash your feet."

Xiaoman smiled and said, "Okay."

After washing his feet, Han Bin closed the door: "Xiaoman, let's... let's go to sleep."

"OK."

Han Bin held Xiaoman and shook her: "I...I want to be on top."

"OK."

"Xiaoman, you are so kind."

Xiaoman smiled.

A moment later, Han Bin was dumbfounded: "Xiao... Xiaoman, you... didn't you tell me to be on top?"

"Aren't you up there now?" I let you up there, but I didn't give you control over the situation.

"Yes. But...but...um...Xiaoman...you...you..."

"Didn't you want me to be gentler with you?"

“Yes. But… um… little…” Han Bin couldn’t take it anymore: “You… you can still treat me like you did yesterday.”

Xiaoman whispered in Han Bin's ear, "What? You don't like it?"

"I...I like it. But it's too...too much, I...I can't stand it."

Xiaoman moved slightly a few times: "If you like it, that's fine."

"Mmm...mmm..."

Tang Huihui nudged her husband. "Is Binzi crying?"

Han Dashan, still half asleep, mumbled, "So what if he cries? It's not like the eldest son's wife isn't here."

"What does this have to do with the eldest son's wife?"

"Didn't you say the child was crying?"

“I didn’t say ‘child,’ I said ‘Binzi.’ Listen, isn’t Binzi crying?”
