The older sister thought for a moment. "Aren't you overthinking it? When we were little, Mom often took us out to play too."
Younger brother: "Am I overthinking this?"
"Um."
"But I always felt that my mother had another purpose in letting me come out to play this time."
The older sister yawned. "So what if there is? Mom won't hurt you."
"That's true. I am Mother's precious youngest son."
"Yes. Just as much as Dad loves me, Liang will love you just as much."
The younger brother smiled smugly. "That's right. Isn't there an old saying? Grandparents love their eldest grandson, and parents love their youngest child."
"Look how smug you are."
"hey-hey……"
The older sister looked at Chou Chou and said, "Son, watch over your younger siblings. Mom's going to take a nap."
Ugly: "Okay."
The older sister patted the heads of Erchou and Sanchou. "You two must listen to your uncle and brother."
Second ugly, third ugly. "Okay."
Two months later, the older sister and younger brother returned with Chou Chou, Er Chou, and San Chou.
When they returned, Tang Huihui was sunbathing in the yard. Han Dashan, Lao Shang, and Lao Guo were playing chess in the yard. Lao Lang was wandering around the yard with Xiao Lang.
As soon as Chou Chou, Er Chou, and San Chou came in, they ran to Tang Huihui's side. "Great-Grandma, we're back! Great-Grandma, we missed you so much! Great-Grandpa, Great-Grandpa Shang, Great-Grandpa Guo, we missed you all too."
Tang Huihui happily hugged the three little ones. "Great-Grandma missed you all so much."
Han Dashan, Lao Shang, and Lao Guo also stopped and looked at the three little guys with smiles.
The older sister and younger brother also called out to each other in turn.
Seeing that Xiao Hei wasn't there, the younger brother asked, "Grandma, did my mother go to the manor?"
Tang Huihui: "Your mother took Xiao Hei to Mengshi." Xiaoman often takes Xiao Hei to Mengshi. Because Mengshi has vast grasslands, where Xiao Hei can roam freely.
The younger brother thought: Since his mother also took Xiao Hei to the grasslands, she probably thought he was bored staying in the lab all day and wanted him to go out and play. "Grandma, how many days has Mom been gone?"
Tang Huihui calculated: "Eight days."
Younger brother: "Then they should be back soon."
"Um."
The older sister and younger brother chatted with Tang Huihui, Han Dashan, Lao Guo, and Lao Shang about what happened on the way, and then took the three little ones to take a bath.
In the afternoon, Han Bin was happy to see his older sister, younger brother, and the three little ones back when he got home from get off work.
As soon as the three little ones saw Han Bin, they ran over and hugged his legs.
Ugly: "Grandpa, we're back."
Erchou: "Grandpa, we miss you so much."
San Chou: "Grandpa, have you missed us?"
When the older sister and younger brother heard that Han Bin had returned, they also came out of the house.
Sister and brother: "Dad, we're back."
Han Bin smiled and asked, "Was the trip smooth?"
Sister: "It went very smoothly."
Han Bin: "That's good."
After Han Bin and his sister finished talking, San Chou asked again, "Grandpa, do you miss us?"
Han Bin patted each of the little ones' heads: "I've missed you all so much, Grandpa has missed you all so much."
Ugly, Second Ugly, and Third Ugly looked up at Han Bin and said in unison, "We miss Grandpa so much!"
"Yeah?"
Ugly, Second Ugly, Third Ugly: "Hmm."
Han Bin glanced at his younger brother. "Then why don't you two tell Grandpa what you've been doing outside for the past two months?"
Ugly, Second Ugly, and Third Ugly: "Okay."
The three little ones eagerly told Han Bin what they had been doing outside.
Everyone thought Han Bin was just asking casually. Unexpectedly, after the three kids finished speaking, Han Bin asked them many more questions.
The older sister and younger brother felt that Han Bin knew almost everything about them, even what they ate every day.
The next day, after breakfast, the younger brother prepared to go to work at the research institute. But as soon as Han Bin heard he was going to work, he said, "I've asked for another week off for you."
"Huh?! Dad, why did you ask for another week off for me?"
"You must have been exhausted from taking the kids out to play. Take a few days off before you go back to work."
Younger brother: "Dad, I'm not tired."
Han Bin smiled and said, "Even if you're not tired, take a few days off."
"Okay, Dad, can I go back to work after a few more days of rest?"
"Um."
After Han Bin left, the younger brother sidled up to Tang Huihui. "Grandma, did anything unusual happen at home while we were gone?"
"Nothing. What's wrong?"
Why did my dad give me another day off?
"Your father cares about you. He's afraid you'll overwork yourself."
"How could that be? Grandma, has anything unusual really happened at home these past few days?"
"without."
My younger brother chatted with his grandmother about other things for a while, then went back to his room to read.
Two days later, Xiaoman returned with Xiaohei.
As soon as Chou Chou, Er Chou, and San Chou saw Xiao Man, they ran over and hugged her.
Xiaoman patted each of the little ones' heads.
Hearing the commotion, the older sister and younger brother also came out of the house.
Sister: "Mother, you're back?"
Xiaoman: "Mmm."
Younger brother: "Mom, if we had known you took Xiao Hei to the grasslands, we would have gone too."
Xiaoman smiled and asked, "Did you have fun on your trip?"
The younger brother's eyelid twitched. "Happy...happy."
Xiaoman looked at her younger brother and said, "That's good. Call your older brother and sister-in-law, and your brother-in-law, and tell them to come back tonight."
The younger brother's eyelids twitched even more violently. "Mother, why did you call my older brother and sister-in-law back?"
Xiaoman said, "Guess!" and then took Xiaohei and the three little guys to the backyard to see Tang Huihui, Han Dashan, Lao Shang, and Lao Guo.
Watching Xiaoman's retreating figure, the younger brother said, "Sister, Mom really didn't just want me to go out and play this time."
"Um."
"Then... what does Mother want to do?"
"Mother's thoughts are beyond the comprehension of ordinary people."
"Father will definitely guess. Father loves you the most, so please ask him for me."
“Father loves Mother the most. If Mother doesn’t want Father to say anything, he definitely won’t. Unless, of course, this has to do with me. But, this matter clearly has nothing to do with me. So,” the older sister looked at her younger brother sympathetically, “you’d better pray for yourself.”
The younger brother thought for a moment. "Besides not wanting to get married, I haven't done anything outrageous, have I?" He had barely finished speaking when his eyes widened in horror. "Sister, Mom hasn't found me a wife, has she?"
"Uh... I don't think so?"
"But I have no other problems besides this."
"Um... what if Mom really finds you a wife? What are you going to do?"
“I…” the younger brother gritted his teeth. “Then I’ll tell Mom I like handsome guys.”
The older sister was taken aback. "You've got some nerve."
"I don't want to say this, but I really don't know how to refuse my mother."
"Aren't you afraid that your mother will kick you out of the house?"
"I'm not afraid. If Mother kicks me out of the house, I'll hug Grandma's leg and cry."
My sister rubbed her forehead. "You're really that unwilling to get married?"
"Um."
After dinner, Xiaoman called everyone to her study. "Yueyue, Meimei, Yuyu, Tongtong, do any of you have a suitable girl to introduce to your younger brother?"
Tang Huihui remembered the last time they arranged a blind date for her younger brother, and he said he might have problems, so she quickly said, "No. They didn't have anyone suitable."
Xiaoman: "Since that's the case, then I..."
Upon hearing this, the younger brother immediately assumed that Xiaoman would say, "Then I'll find him one." So, for the first time, he interrupted Xiaoman. "Mom, I like handsome guys."
